moweda I'll disagree there on the point of sacrificing the arcane ward. The flavor it's based on aside (where it always remains even when not protecting) an equivalent card would be: Arcane Ward Enchantment When ~ enters the battlefield, gain X life. When you cast an instant or sorcery spell, you gain life equal to half its mana value rounded down. Even if the off-color thing should be a bit weaker than on-color, this doesn't strike me as the kind of card that would need a sacrifice clause.

Thanks for the win! Thought Recycler is mostly meant as a hate card for other's extra draws, and as a last resort for the user themselves. That's why I made it actually gives quite some life, while costing a bunch. Next challenge. What to break... what to break... Clones! Create a card that can copy any one creature, that isn't blue, red, black or colorless. In other words: Create a card that can copy one or more creatures that's and/or . No copying of itself like Scute Swarm or only tokens like populate!

I assume "no tokens" means "no populate-like effects"; and not "no token copies"? Rally the Meek Sorcery For each nontoken creature with power 1 or less you control, create a token that’s a copy of that creature. I have no idea on how to cost this right.

Reverent Aspirant Creature - Human Warrior You may have Reverent Aspirant enter the battlefield as a copy of a creature card in your graveyard with mana value 1 or less. "My path is paved by the feet of champions past."
2/1

Mimicry Bloom Three generic and two green
Sorcery
Choose one — • Create two token copies of target land except they are 2/2 green Plant creatures in addition to their other types. • Create a token copy of target creature except it is a Forest land (It is not a creature).

Well, this is the first design that came to mind:
Sadly, after preparing the render, I realized hydraheadhunter already beat me to it - as they say, great minds think alike, right?
So instead, how about this one:

Judgement of your copies! {Spoiler} Idea - Carnivoria Morphica: Interesting way of copying. Not having activated abilities really limits it, along with its limited defendering and 3/5 PT. That makes it quite believable in green really. Not something that would probably be done more often on like, differently statted creatures but with the same ability. One of those rare one-offs. Flo00 - Rally the Meek: I love the limit on the ability, very white. Something like this might eventually see print. I think it should be costed maybe ? But having enough low-power non-token creatures for this to be too powerful, I don’t think that moment will come very soon, so current mana value could be fine. Also, Mentor of the Meek represent. fluffydeathbringer : Reverent Aspirant: That’s a really cool ability, jeez. And very much white: weenie love and graveyard stuff. And without its ability it’s still a proper 2/1 for . I’d love to see in what kind of decks this could go: Death Shadow? Extra Ragavan, Nimble Pilferers? More Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar? It’s tight. hydraheadhunter : Mimicry Bloom: Dryadifying the copies. Cool. And the land-copies are a cool idea, and is definitely busted mana-wise in some setups like tron or the cabal lands. Though, if you already have 5 mana, busted is relative. Commander would like it. And sometimes, having a creature copy be a forest makes it that much stronger as it is harder to remove. 5 mana for that is acceptable, and there being a choice in which power you want makes it versatile if needed. Daij_Djan - Morphing Geist: The ability is white-feeling, yes. But also blue at the same time? So maybe more of a White-Blue creature than a solo-white creature? Anyways, doesn’t the wording need to reference a creature card, as the creature is already exiled when this is happening? Winner! Winner!

Griselbrand's Bargain Three Black
Sorcery
Kicker four generic Target opponent takes an extra turn after this one. At the beginning of that turn's end step, that player lose's 7 life. If Griselbrand's Bargain was kicked, you control of that player during their next turn. End the turn.
FT: Good things come in sevens to counter-balance his singular malignance. |
Extra turn spell in black gives an extra turn to your opponent at at a big cost to them, and the opprotunity to kick it for a Worst Fears sort of thing. Keeping the Griselbrand motif of 7 going (while ignoring as strongly as possible that griselbrand is an eight drop)

Final Moments Instant You have an extra turn after your next turn, or after this turn if it is currently your turn. You can't lose the game and your opponents can't win the game until after that extra turn. You lose the game after that extra turn. This effect can't be countered or prevented. "I can't imagine these final moments without you..."This wording of "after extra turn" is in order to have people be unable to end the turn with things like Sundial of the Infinite in order to skip its effect like with those at-end-of-turn extra turn effects like Final Fortune. At the start of the next turn it will happen: you dead.

Season of Austerity Sorcery Until the end of your next turn, opponents cannot untap lands or creatures, activate abilities, play lands, or declare attacks. All must pull together during times of woe and want.Kind of a virtual effect. Opponents could still cast spells if they have untapped permanents going in.

Flow of Time and Blood Sorcery As an additional cost to cast Flow of Time and Blood, pay half your life, rounded up. Take an extra turn after this one.

The wording is (except of the changed trigger, of course) taken directly from Cemetery Puca, so that is fine - but you're definitely right about the card feeling more WU than mono-white. If not for the challenge, I'd have gone with a color/theme shifted Puca directly
For the next challenge, how about this one:

Daij_Djan : this one extends extra turns into green in a way similar to card draw, which is also a cool direction. I think the execution's balanced enough given this has no evasion or haste on its own, meaning it's hard to chain these together into infinites. no particular flaws Idea : cool concept, imo ultimately balanced execution. I like that the delve serves as a hidden debuff because it gives you less to work with so it's not just a strict improvement Flo00 : extending extra turn's into black's "gets to do blue stuff if it pays life" deal is a solid direction, not sure about the costing being that steep, but this doesn't self-exile so that's a factor hydraheadhunter : outside very specific formats like EDH, there's no reason to cast the base form unless you can kill with it, and in that scenario it's too much damage for too little. the kicker has potential, and I like that it's not just better Worst Fears. cool idea, half-good execution everywhere except EDH moweda : not entirely sure how in-color the land hampering is for these, but I like the direction this entry took melono : I get that you wanted the neat and cool idea you had to work perfectly without edge cases, but I don't think doing different wording for this one card that all other effects of this kind don't use is the way to go about it. it just throws me off and detracts from the design for me, makes it less clean in execution. in general I think there's such a thing as sacrificing execution for potential, and I think this falls under that. if you're dropping 3WWW on an instant then you absolutely deserve to also have the sundial combo, tbh. the concept of an extended Angel's Grace with a kill switch is cool on its own, though.
Daij_Djan wins, runners up are down the list

It's probably too good as a four-of, but I wouldn't know as the guy who plays nothing but EDH.

For ur next challenge, let's do a Lure effect ( limited Lure is fine as well) somewhere in the spectrum.

Chosen Champion Creature - Human Warrior Exalted (Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, that creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)Whenever ~ attacks, no more than one creature can block each combat this turn. 1/1 "Send your greatest stalwart, and we may yet end this war without more blood."The idea is that your opponent 'must' block it or face a truckload of exalted damage going into their face.

Taunting Duelist Creature - Elf Rogue First Strike ( This creature deals combat damage before creatures without first strike.) As long as ~ is attacking, defending player can't block other creatures unless ~ is blocked if that player is able to. "And I'm yet to talk about your father!"
3/1 If someone has even better wording, I am listening. EDIT: thanks for the suggestion vizionarius - I used it with a slight addition at the end.

Taunting Duelist Creature - Elf Rogue First Strike ( This creature deals combat damage before creatures without first strike.) If ~ is attacking and defending player assigns one or more creatures as blockers, at least one creature must block ~ if able. "And I'm yet to talk about your father!"
3/1 If someone has even better wording, I am listening. Maybe this: " As long as ~ is attacking, other creatures can't be blocked unless ~ is blocked." Addendum: The above prevents creatures from being blocked in multiplayer games if you attack someone with this guy who doesn't/can't block it. A fix for that is: "As long as ~ is attacking, defending player can't block other creatures unless ~ is blocked."

Flo00: extending extra turn's into black's "gets to do blue stuff if it pays life" deal is a solid direction, not sure about the costing being that steep, but this doesn't self-exile so that's a factor Totally forgot that extra turns are supposed to exile themselves nowadays... Also I took a trick from sdfkjgh's toolbox and snuck a link into the mana cost on what the card is referring to Entry: Ruthless Hitman Creature - Human Assassin Deathtouch Whenever Ruthless Hitman attacks, you may sacrifice another creature. If you do, Ruthless Hitman must be blocked this turn if able. 1/3

And here we go: { Idea}Oof, this is a weird one – but I guess given this is Unbendable Pies, I shouldn't be supprised This is an interesting concept, but I have two issues with it: First of all, assuming I'm correct in this being an uncommon (it's a bit hard to identify given the set symbol), I think the concept is way too complex and unusual to show up below rare – unless used keyworded as a theme. Also I think I'd have preferred not showcasing this ability on an unblockable creature. Don't get me wrong, it definitely fits your flavor, so this might be me – but I'd have preferred to see the ability on a creature that can be blocked rather than basically being a wordy Spikeshot Goblin (also the Goblin might show your card needs to be nerved a bit). { ZephyrPhantom}I mean.. One the one hand, this is kind of a clever interpretation of the challenge – but on the other hand wouldn't any big beater fulfill it just as well? Very solid design for sure, but it feels like you bent (see what I did there ) the challenge a bit too much here. { melono}Hilarious flavor text! Nice blend of flavor and ability – even if the proper wording is a bit tricky indeed.. I'd simply add „ if able“ to vizionarius' suggestion? { moweda}Sadly, this ability doesn't work. When the game checks whether your Sneak is blocked or not all blockers are already assigned – so making your other creatures unblockable would do nothing as it wouldn't remove the already assigned blockers. Even removing the blockers would still prevent your attackes from doing combat damage to your opponent – (ironically) unless you get some green involved? { Flo00}This is a flavorful way to do this break / blend for sure. Outside of this given challenge I could totally see this as a green/black hybrid card. Like it! {And the winner is..}This was a really tough one for me – honestly the first two places could easily be swapped imho. Still, I'm ginving the win to melono with Flo00 as very close runner-up!

Thanks for the win! And yes, that would work with just the "if able"! For the next bend, give me a white non-artifact, non-land card that adds mana (indirectly adding it is fine too, like untapping land). This does happen, though rarely, like Giada, Font of Hope or Trade Caravan. It's just absolutely not common, and that's what bending is about.

Remnant of Heliod Enchantment Remnant of Heliod enters the battlefield tapped and exerted. : Add . I'd just like to categorically deny that this is meant to be his penis kept as a relic. Yes, it would be completely appropriate, given the source material, but since it's not that, then it isn't. Also, I wanna win this contest, and getting snipped (pun) for violating the censorship clauses (this site is still PG-13, right?) would almost certainly torpedo ( also pun) my chances.
