Idea if something becomes a Forest (land), it automatically loses all abilities. See notes in Song of the Dryads.

Sleepless Watch
Enchantment Creatures you control get +1/+1 and have vigilance. Stun counters can't be put on creatures you control. Another night without sleep is nothing in the face of eternal rest.

Idea - A flavorful variant of Claustrophobia. Its green-hate mechanics are in-color and well designed.
Flo00 - Very nice overall. Its mechanics are really evocative of how the enchanted creature sleepwalks and then, if it wakes up, it does so in the middle of nowhere wondering "where am I?".
viriss - An unusual and very interesting wingless dragon. You might have made him a Snake Dragon like Dread Linnorm, but it's good nonetheless. I'd only raise its rarity up to rare due to its mechanics' complexity.
thaneofglamis - Perfect, I really like the "super-vigilance" effect. Good flavor text and good expression of flavor through mechanics.
The winner is thaneofglamis! With Flo00 and Idea as runnerups.

Thanks for the win!
Your next card's name must contain the word hammer or nail! (or hammering, nailed, etc...)

I have one contest of my own to judge first - but if nothing has happened till then, I'll look into this one
And here we go: { Idea } Nice, clean and simple - like it. Wording doesn't really need the X though, inspired by Fling: As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice an artifact or creature. ~ deals damage equal to the sacrificed permanent’s mana value to any target. { Flo00 } Just to make sure - this is an Un-design, no? If so, hilarious design Minor nitpick: Should maybe list attacking with Vigilance creatures? { viriss } OK, this one is brutal.. Typically its nonbasics that are on the receiving end of hate - and I'm not sure I like the idea of punishing players for not spending tons of money on their land bases. Still, these "philosophical" concern aside, the card would probably be fine at least in Commander. { ameisenmeister } Interesting combination of abilities. Probably best to be combined with some pump spells to smash in hard then return your spells afterwards. {And the winner is..}Honestly, I really like all four entries (even if I'm kinda scared of one of them^^) - really well done After some pondering, decided to give the win to Idea - basically everyone else is pretty much a runner-up

Lost Girl Creature - Human When a creature deals combat damage to Lost Girl, that creature’s controller gains control of Lost Girl, then transforms it. “Excuse me sir, can you show me the way out of this forest?”0/3 ---------------- Flesh-Render Witch Creature - Human Warlock Damage dealt by Flesh-Render Witch causes its owner to gain that much life. At the beginning of your end step, sacrifice another creature, then put a +1/+1 counter on Flesh-Render Witch. 3/3

vizionarius{Spoiler}Looking into AOE red damage spell and looking for the closest comparison cases I could like with The Meathook Massacre, I think this is fine. Given this is a sorcery this card will hardly ever come up as a combat trick, instead being mainly used for removal. The different toughness requirement though is steep. Decks often actively strive to have more copies of the same card, and things like token decks in particular would be too tough for this spell. Flo00{Spoiler}It's hard to dig for examples of something like this. On one hand, I very much like the idea of giving a Trojan Horse to an opponent. On the other, hand, this card cuts too much of the risk by keeping you from taking damage to your life with it. while consuming too many of your opponent's resources with little real way to interfere. elchetibo{Spoiler}In mana value this card makes sense, colors-wise it's all over the place. It's also not vey internally cohesive. I see where the references are, though. Winner

Thanks for the win! You're right, I should probably have written "Up to X target creatures..."

Well, if it wasn't for an "up to," then you wouldn't be able to kill a 5/5 if there were less than 5 creatures with different toughnesses on the board.

Well, if it wasn't for an "up to," then you wouldn't be able to kill a 5/5 if there were less than 5 creatures with different toughnesses on the board. That is also an issue, it's just not the one I was specifically thinking about in my comment, that's all. My comments were more about taking full advantage of the card when most decks tend to gravitate to, for example, using multiple copies of a given creature over a variety of them, which inherently makes it much more likely creatures will share toughness values.

Fair. When I designed the card, I had my friend's Massacre Girl commander deck in mind, where he wants to build a board state with a ton of different toughnesses.
