Autumn Gale: Standard anti-counter (Blue) hate from green. Seems fine 8/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Lettie finishes speaking, Brayden gives a nod and then pulls up his sleeve to show that his right arm fully bandaged. And then Brayden starts to quickly unfurl the bandages. And, as he unfurls the bandages it looks exactly like the picture Michi showed to Lettie; Its covered in rather large bulbous growths and is also covered in whats looks like scars, and when he removes from the bandages from his hand, he has three fingers that are each topped with curved spikes. As he does he looks at it, closes and opens his "hand", "thats something I'll probably not get used to...". "So this happened when I was working on an experiment. I was using a gem called a mox emerald; It can convert nearly all forms of mana into green mana. However, It is very sensitive towards aether, and the mana stream I was passing through suddenly fluctuated, due to an aether contamination in our mana source. And so, It exploded quite violently and I took the brunt of it... And then it caused this and also caused my latent planeswalker spark to ignite and whisked me to this plane."He then gets out a notebook and turns to a page which has a sketch of the arm, "The working theory on whats causing this is when the gem exploded, it embued my body with aether and green mana, mostly my arm because I used that arm to shield my self in the explosion, which created some sort of "bridge" between the blind eternities and basically caused my arm and the arm of somesort of creature and a tiny bit our consciousnesses to essentially 'swap'."
Bridge the Eternities Instant Exile target creature or planeswalker you control, then return that card to the battlefield under its owner’s control. Lettie hardly reacts to the arm's unveiling, but her face begins cracking into a poorly disguised sneer as Brayden suggests the possibility of a swap. "You think there's a creature out there with your original arm? Why haven't you found it yet?" Lettie pauses for a moment, and regardless Brayden's answer, continues. "I presume that experiment is what caused you to spark as well. There are few things that mark us so permanently as that ignition..." Lettie's eyes seem to drift out of focus, and she stares right through Brayden, at some imaginary point over an unseen horizon. A moment passes, and she shakes her head, bringing herself back to reality. "Consider this: a regular human doesn't planeswalk. You're already forever changed. I think that much in the same way, this creature might not be something external, so much as it is something brought out from within you... that is to say, the creature is a part of you, brought to the fore, now. It might be similar for your mind as well. You would be surprised, the extent to which the human mind is subject to change within the body."Barrow Keeper Creature — Faerie Cleric Flying Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, Barrow Keeper deals 1 damage to target player or planeswalker. 1/1 Bridge the Eternities — Not a fan of something so much obviously better than Cloudshift, which is already an amazing card. Consider the number of ways you can save Planeswalkers with this. 7/10

test Barrow Keeper: The card looks perfectly fine to me 9/10 ------------------------------------------------------------------ As Brayden listens to Lettie, she can easily tell what confidence he had slowly turned into indecisiveness, and when Lettie finishes, he could only let out an anguished, "But...!" as if trying retort her claim, but even he was a fish out of water on this subject, and places his head into his hands and lets an exasperated sigh, "Well... I'm not sure what to say now... Your theory could easily be as valid as my theory... Lettie's protector makes short work of the swamp's protector. The mushrooms surrounding her fade slightly after she takes the laudanum, but remain in view, decidedly less real but no less surrounding her. Her alarms see none of this, only an inky smoke collecting in the corners of the shop. Dark purple tendrils of shadow seem to reach out from it, only to be repelled by something.
Smoky Halls Artifact When Smoky Halls enters the battlefield, each player can cast only one more spell until your next turn. , Sacrifice another artifact: Exile Smoky Halls, then return it to the battlefield. Lettie tries to keep her reaction from showing as she realizes that the unreal mushrooms surrounding her conceal something far more disconcerting underneath. Could it be J? A mass of darkness would be consistent with the being that replaced the lost letter, two days ago. In either case, J hadn't made any another attack, yet. This was an opportunity recollect one's self. Lettie continues taking deep breaths, trying to keep her heart steady, which felt as though it were saving on beats by skipping some of them, and she peers through her alarms at the recoiling tendrils. Why were they doing that? Were they recoiling from light? Were they bound by the confines of the hallucination? Maybe some of the ingredients stored here were keeping them at bay? Lettie tries to think of what exactly could be repelling them, and she tries to hurry along the laudanum by channeling some green mana through her body. Maybe if she could get a look at this thing with her own eyes, past the fungal phantasms, she could catch a glimpse of an aether signature; that would be invaluable. All the same, she had to stay on guard. J was surely watching her now, and she could strike at any time.Twilit Papaver Creature — Plant , Sacrifice Twilit Papaver: Destroy target artifact or enchantment. , Sacrifice Twilit Papaver: Destroy target creature. 1/3 Answering with this as a matter of ability-spells that aren't counted, as well as artifact removal. Smoky Halls — An odd way of constraining casting, but interesting. I do take issue with the somewhat misleading wording, since you can easily sequence this on your turn such that it isn't a problem, and it ends before your next turn proper, which makes me leery of its costing. I also think the reactivation method is somewhat clunky. 7/10

Your theory could easily be as valid as my theory... If anything its a less stretch of logic than what I had in mind!" He's accepting the possibility? Lettie's sneer of contempt vanishes entirely. "It's nothing much of a solid theory. It just makes fewer assumptions, and your case reminded me of a common practice on my home plane, where wizards and alchemists would alter themselves to take upon forms better suited to destruction, and in doing so, fundamentally change their true form. That is, the form to which a creature reverts when a temporary transformation ends, and the archetypal form we planeswalkers pull from the aether." Lettie seems to freeze up for a moment, as her eyes fix on that unseen point in the unfathomable distance again. "There was this romantic ideal, that this was a magic that could allow one to take upon their true self. If that is the case, then every human who tried to achieve that true self must have harbored a squirming hideousness within their very soul. In time, all those wizards and alchemists became trapped in their transformed states, and my home was left with no option but to administer the same treatment that we offer mad dogs." Lettie brings a hand up to her face; she seems as though her head is aching. "Where I come from, we do not treat the mad, nor the transformed. The best I know to do is give you potions that will inhibit action in your transformed state, or delay the transformation itself. Your case would be difficult enough were you like those wizards and alchemists of my home, but this was is also wrapped in the nature of your spark, as well. I can not even begin to imagine how you might be cured. Let us hope that there is a creature out there with your arm, and part of your mind. This would be so easy, were that the case." Lettie lets out a ragged sigh. She isn't looking at Brayden. "I'm sorry."Haunting Bell Artifact All creatures have vigilance. , : Each player draws a card. Oracle of the Gods — My first impression of Oracle is that it's rather weak, given that scry 1 and a 1/1 for 2U isn't the most efficient. In other words, you're given an inefficient option on every untap, which on this 1/3, which I think could be costed 1U instead. It would break the symmetry, however, so it may be better to adjust the P/T. That's my only issue, however. 8/10

As Lettie finishes, Brayden lets out slight exhale of air as he fully cements what Lettie told to him to memory, and changes his posture to more comfortable position, "Body Modification..." he says to himself, "To think the levels some people will stoop to gain power... I will never understand why anyone do would such things for such little gains and with such disastrous side-effects. Thats actually why we banned the usage of techniques relating to body modification and making other works of horror back at Tolaria West, where I work; They always tend to lead to something being dead." he says before realising he was going to a slight rant, and stops himself.
"Well, I needn't go into a tangent about extraneous things, I'll have your theory in the back of my head just in case, I can't rule out any theory until they're proven wrong. It was good to have your time Lettie."And, when Lettie has nothing more to say to Brayden, he does a slight bow and makes his way out the front door.

There is a crack of glass somewhere in the shop. The smoke worked its way through the shelves, knocking particular things to the floor. A purple tendril broke past the walls of mushrooms, but dissolved away before it could get too close. More rattling occurred in the shelves.

[7] Lettie pulls her kerchief over her mouth and nose, which muffles her nervous cackling. The broken flasks at least didn't have pale morningstar powder in them- she didn't keep those at the main bakery location, for obvious reasons. They could, however, contain something as horrible as eternity spores, or sulfur-brimstone clouds. Those, however, would be most dangerous to organic humanoids, and whatever this smoke was, it didn't fear them. With all these substances being broken out of their containers, victory was now a foregone conclusion. The best Lettie could hope for now was to force a mutual retreat, and there was plenty in this place to add to whatever the winds of wastelands J had just unleashed. She couldn't be immune to everything. Lettie grabs a bag of her choice books and ledgers from her bookshelf, and runs to a cabinet of atomized vapors, opens it, and suppresses her cackling long enough to hold her breath. I miss this place already. She knocks over the cabinet, and planeswalks away, just as she can hear the first of the vials shattering. Poisons, spores, airborne acids, they all come spilling out, and spread throughout the shop, and on the way into the blind eternities, Lettie has left her own signature cloud, smelling of gall and bile as always.
Miasmatic Swarm Creature — Rat Elemental Deathtouch, haste Whenever Miasmatic Swarm deals combat damage to a planeswalker, destroy that planeswalker. 2/1 Ensnaring Tendrils — Yep, that's the war uncommon template. Seven loyalty on a 3 walker though is a hell of a thing. The static ability is pretty fair, and the I'd say the loyalty ability also has the right cost, but I would expect a walker such as this to have five loyalty at the most. 8/10

A shriek erupted from the shop as Lettie's cocktail did its work. The mysterious witch enjoyed playing with her marks, but less so when they could bite back. The inky smoke and its hallucinations vanished from the shop, unlikely to harass Lettie further, unless she started looking for trouble...

The blind eternities tasted exceptionally bitter on this day. Normally, they were tolerable in the short amount of time Lettie would need to step through the veil onto another plane, but this time she had lost her footing, somehow, and was left staggering blindly through the chaos. Bitter stars. I had hardly even known what was happening the first time. I had just dropped onto another world. I could just drop onto any one of them. Anywhere that isn't between them. Lettie hurls herself against the void, and falls onto a rotted carpet flecked with broken glass and fresh snow. She hears the cracking of shards breaking into yet smaller shards, then pain in her arms. The skin around her eyes felt as though it were burning. Something from the cabinet might have gotten on it. What pained her most of all though, was seeing this damned place again, and the state it was in. It wasn't just the carpet rotting; there was mold on the tables, the counter, the couch in the back. The windows were still shattered, and no one had bothered boarding them up; snow could fall in, and mold could spill out. A place this rotten should have been torn down by now. It was lowering the value of every single property on the street so long as it was standing. Were the neighbors afraid of putting it in the past?
Lettie takes a deep breath, and winces as she sits up. She starts by disinfecting the cuts in her arms, and prays that no one is out walking by the windows in this cold. The best case scenario would be someone fainting out in the cold at the sight. She then moves to applying a balm to her face, and consuming it in a green spell to try and banish herself of any future infections, and as her face stings, she ruminates on what just happened. The bakery hub's not lost. I'd like to see J decontaminate the place. Only I can claim it again. I might have even learned something for all this, or frightened her. I hope I did anyway. This was far too expensive. Pain shoots through her chest as her heart murmurs. The light all around her seems to flicker for a moment. But the state that I'm in now, I'd probably pass out right in the miasma if I tried cleaning it. Likely too much laudanum during the fight. I need to find a place to rest, and it can't be this waste of a plane. As soon as Lettie has put away her materials, she takes a deep breath, and leaves the plane without having even stood up.
Lettie has unlocked CMC Level 6.

A letter is placed on top of a desk in one of Lettie's shops that have a tunnel, written in Seiva's curvy script.Miss Lettie,Kei is now under anti-spell bracelets, so she's no harm, but she's around our outpost to learn what it is that we're doing. When we next meet, don't worry about her. She's now completely safe and under our watch as part of her sentence. However, that means that we've gone to Entela and come back, so when you're available, we need to discuss payment. Come find me at our outpost and we can discuss further.~ Seiva Zeni, Head Advisor of EPIC Pay in Full Sorcery Each of up to two target players may pay . Each player who does creates two Treasure tokens.

If it did something like that, it would be a cool political tool, which I'm certain is the intent. 7/10

Lettie looks somewhat apprehensive as she notices the section for home, but lets out a breath as she sees Seiva cross out that part of the form, and she lets on a slight smile without realizing it. "Normally, I'd be fine with any method, but my usual money changer is... withdrawing, for the time being." The slight smile vanishes, and Lettie's eyes narrow. "I would prefer to be supplied with laboratory equipment similar to what Ani had set up to create this bane, as well as more Volarian books. Encyclopedias on flora and fauna are best." There's a strange monotone in her voice.Information Blackout Instant Each player exiles their hand face down until end of turn. (Those cards return to their owner's hands.) On the Record — Punisher effect, as well as a bit of a political tool depending on how it's used. Small wording quibbles, but no reason to penalize for that. Seems somewhat weak compared to the likes of Meddling Mage though. 9/10 Seiva raises an eyebrow at the shift in Lettie's voice. "Are you alright? Something seems different." Seiva records Lettie's request, then starts talking mostly to herself. "That's, what, stem deconstructor, aether... Hold on, let me message Ani." // There's a brief pause in Seiva's speech as she send a message to Ani. About two minutes later, she receives a list and copies it onto the page. After some confused faces and tapping her clipboard many times, she eventually slots "400R" into her value pages and offers the clipboard to Lettie."The laboratory equipment shouldn't be too hard. I can send it over with a technician once it comes in. Mirora'll have the books you're looking for, so I'll talk to them and should be able to get three. I'll get Ani to help me figure out what'll be the best... If that's all good with you, I'll need you to sign on it."I love how this works in this instance, but I'm struggling to find a use in most situations, since you usually would want to do this to protect your spell from countermagic and unless you do it in upkeep and blind draw, it's not going to do that. Then again, Bob likes this card, as does Castle Locthwain, so maybe. 8/10 Apprentice Bioaetherist Creature - Elf Wizard Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, you may pay . If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature. 2/2

// A middle-aged man is standing outside one of Lettie's tunnel-linked workshops at a time when she is expected to be around. He is wearing a lab coat that shimmers with a silvery glaze and beneath that is wearing completely black, with the exception of a blue stripe around his neck. He has a backpack, affixed to which is a glowing golden light that seems to slowly pulsate. In his hands are three books, one titled "The Medicinal Use of Aetheric Herbs", one titled "Bioaetherics of Non-Sapient Species", and one titled "A Miroran Guide to Plants".

For several days, a strange woman has been seen fumigating, cleaning, and decontaminating her many shops, and on occasion passing a hot iron over her papers and books, a sour expression on her face the whole time. By the end of the process, each shop is aglow with green mana. She then makes quick rounds through her shops, hanging a new temporary sign, "Apologies for Closure // Back in Business", and double checking that her previous signs are still readable. Lettie currently bears faint and faded chemical burns just under her eyes, and she speaks quietly and softly when handling transactions, with no time or attention spared for most small talk.
Pidge knows of my nature, EPIC is keeping Kei alive and with them, and I can't move the aether tunnels. I can no longer retreat. What happened to Pidge must not happen to me, and I will ensure that my place on this Arena will never be ceded. Even if my Bitter fall upon this land poisons all others, this is the only place for me now.
Lettie Wormwood's description has been updated, and she has unlocked CMC level 7.

Lettie appears from behind the counter, and if Zero is watching attentively, she might notice bitter fumes rising with her that don't come from any of her wares. Lettie looks down her nose at the construct, her gaze briefly glancing over the missing arm, and she responds in a similar tone. "Traveler. I don't deal in conventional weaponry. You'll have to settle for poisons, alchemical weapons, and pathogens, and hope that will be suitable for your duty."Festering Sidhe Creature — Faerie Rogue Flash If an opponent would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, that player reveals that card as they draw it. If it's a nonland card, that player puts that card into their graveyard instead of their hand. 3/3 Stock Up — I don't like how useless the life and scry mode is. The card's value is typically dominated by the drawn cards, which isn't good in charm design, and I'm leery of the latter two modes at charm cost. Otherwise, this checks the boxes of what's expected in a charm, with a new twist. 7/10

"You lost to squirrels?" Lettie barely manages to stay within the realm of propriety in tone and expression. "Normally, the best I could give for handling groups would be pale morningstar powder, but you'd probably burn down an entire forest if I gave you that. I think a brimstone cloud with its ignition component removed might do fine for choking out... squirrels." Lettie coughs, and dares for a moment to look into the construct's eyes. If it weren't a human, it couldn't be that great of a risk... right?Nihilistic Treatment Sorcery Choose X. Target player reveals their hand and discards all nonland cards with converted mana cost X. Therian Fire — Right off the bat, it's a Transmute on an X spell, which is an odd choice, even if it works. It also bends the transmute costing convention somewhat by having mismatched pips, which is fun. It's also a potentially black fireball, and I guess black can kind of hate on low toughness, but it's strange to see this without any drain attached, but then that'd bend it away from red. I guess it works. Another mild complaint is that while having gold requirement to include black in the Transmute is understandable, it means that the often earlier game play is gold, rather than the X side, which has hybrid even though it's in the late game. All in all, I have some mixed feelings about this one. 7/10

In a vague collection around where he stands, a number of devices and parts of devices materialize in the way that would be familiar from an aether tunnel. As Lettie looks over her contract, the technician begins setting up a laboratory space very similar to the one she worked in with Ani. Her looks exactly as it did when she left it with Seiva. The sole exception is that now, Seiva's signature is on the contract as well. It's written in ink that seems to lightly shimmer.
The technician calls Lettie after a short time. He motions through as he notes each piece of technology. "And this is your laboratory setup. This will draw aether from your oscillator, so there's no need for aether cells. S.B. deconstructor, that's wired through a condenser to a fluid dispensery.
