Damn it. I did actually see it, not sure how I didn't put it in my judgment.

Heroic Sacrifice Instant As an additional cost to casting ~, sacrifice a creature. Creatures you control gain indestructible until end of turn. Dink's goblin language did not distinguish between "my life" and "our life", and he wouldn't want it any other way.

Kikoriz, Goblin Hero-King Legendary Creature - Goblin Warrior Haste, first strike Whenever Kikoriz attacks, another attacking Goblin gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of attacking Goblins. Unique among goblins, Kikoriz treated his underlings with respect .2/2

I try to abstain from contests given by the winner I chose, but there's definitely a wealth of Card names for this one. Step it up, people!

Hero's Absence Enchantment At the beginning of combat on your turn, target creature you control gains first strike and lifelink until the end of turn. "I've not been touched by a god and I'm certainly no hero. But someone has to do something."

Ill-Fated Heroine Legendary Creature - Human Knight First strike At the beginning of your upkeep, put a fate counter on Ill-Fated Heroine, then if there are three or more fate counters on this creature, sacrifice it. Her quest may not end in failure, yet it will always end in tragedy.4/3

Judging has cometh!
{viriss} Solid card. The difference between hitting a legendary and a non-legendary creature is quite big but that's probably okay. Get ready to see this card in each and every black commander deck that you'll play against, though.
{melono} A powerful answer to an opponent's board wipe or a nice addition to your own. Also a cool combat trick when you simply sacrifice a creature that's going to die anyways. Good card, and the flavor text is cute, too.
{thaneofglamis} The card's flavor is but mechanically, it could just be mono . That's not much of a problem, though, as the card is pretty solid. I'm not so sure about how it would play because you are likely only getting one attack step with it.
{Trisky} It's Blood Mist in white! But it has the potential to draw the game longer instead of shortening it because of the lifelink. I really like the flavor of ordinary people becoming heroes if need be your card has.
{Boogymanjunior} Cool twist on cards like Saving Grasp and the like. The legendary bonus seems fair and makes it extra interesting for commander. Flavor text is also very good.
{Flo00} Evil heroic it is. Would still be fair if you could target it without harm imo, but it's kind of fine as it is. A solid and interestingly designed common.
{wapulatus} So it basically has vanishing 3, okay. I'm not sure whether it is a legendary creature or not because the render says something else than your text but if it is, it's quite a boring legend. Nothing inherently wrong with that though because a 4/3 first striker for is pretty strong.
{And the winner is...} melono! A whole lot of good desings here making my decision a hard one, but eventually the flavor and versatility of Heroic Sacrifice made it for me.
Thank you all for participating!

Glad that you liked it! I don't know if it's my place to say it, and melono's card is also a fitting winner, but Flo00's card let's target opponent lose life whenever something targets him, even by your own spells. ;-)

Next entry: Conqueror's Challenge Sorcery Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn. Then, you may have that creature fight another target creature. "Your fighting spirit is commendable. Let's put it to good use."

Challenge the Elements Enchantment Whenever you cast a spell, if its mana cost contains three or more similar mana symbols, put a quest counter on Challenge the Elements. Remove three quest counters from Challenge the Elements and sacrifice it: Create two tokens that are copies of target noncreature permanent. Sometimes I just like to fulfil two challenges with one card. In this case, I also did the Set Theme Game.

I'll have to take care of my own contest first (Land Designs) - but afterwards I'll gladly step in here
EDIT: OK then - with the other challenge taken care of, this one is now closed as well. Please no further changes of entries!

Daij_Djan Thanks for stepping in! Don't want to annoy anymore, but my sense of duty urges me to at least make sure that it is not forgotten. Actually, big thanks for the reminder as it made me realize I never copied over the judging after I tested the codings in the admin area xD So finally, here are my comments you've all should have receive on Sunday already { wapulatus} Threaten meets Prey Upon is a pretty cool and absolutely flavorful design. However, as it can kind of be used as a Blood Feud ripoff, that card shows how undercosted your version really is. So yeah, the costs definitely needs to be increased – but then you get an awesome card. { Flo00} Using this card in another game, which has already been judged, allowed me to make sure I wouldn't miss something obvious when ready your card – because I really didn't get what „similar mana costs“ was supposed to say. Did you really want to go for the “Adamant not restricted to a specific color“ approach? If so, I like the idea of having a Quest focussed around that theme, even if your „payout“ doesn't really feel like it connects well with said theme or the card's name in a flavorful way. { Boogymanjunior} I love Mana Leak. I seriously do – even if WotC nowadays is afraid of it and has therefore powered it own to Quench. Being able to hit abilities as well is a really nice addition I wish we would see more of. Nothing else to say really – I love this card even though I don't think WotC would print it at this rate currently (as they seem to be rather wary of taxation effects recently). { ameisenmeister} Big Gruul fatty with a very unique downside – interesting. We have had a few creatures with a fight on ETB ability, but never has this been used as a downside granted to your opponents' creatures. I do think the card probably reads cooler than it will often actually play out in the end – as the random aspect of the fighting (while reading hilariously) will most likely disencourage your opponents from trying to take down your creature unless they can be pretty sure they'll end up being victorious in the end. { Tesagk} I feel like there's something wron with the wording here. Did you want to say “If that spell is countered this way“ or did I miss something? Assuming that's what you wanted, this really is an interesting design. I like the idea of getting two mana back this way as a kind of „fixed“ Rewind (I know that card technically isn't broken, yet it's take on free spells in general actually was) – even though with this and the lifegain on top your card seems to be rather undercosted compared to other lifegaining conterspells like Absorb or Fall of the Gavel. Personally, I'd prefer to either focus on the dependent lifegain or getting some mana back (preferred the latter as it's the more interesting concept imho) to end up with a cleaner design.

Name your Price! Scheme When you set this Scheme in motion, target opponent chooses a number, then you choose one — • That player loses that much life. • You lose that much life and control that player during their next turn.
