It's judging time!
{viriss} Cool idea! It's like a very hungry cook that has the potential to serve you a huge pile of food and eventually give you a ton of life. The flavor text is great and subtly hints at the fact that it can ''cook itself'' to give you three food for four mana which might not be the world but give you metalcraft for what that is worth. All in all, a cool idea in a well executed package.
{Tesagk} Pretty powerful. The etb trigger alone is a strong ability and the additional options to turn creatures into golems, make your (flesh-)golems indestructible and beef them up make for a very powerful package with definite commander potential. The only issues I might have are that for a global indestructible effect for all your golems might be a little cheap and giving multiple creatures +3/+3 might not be very black. But these are minor things and I enjoy this card as a whole.
{Daij_Djan} A nice take and a strictly better version of Wring Flesh. I like that your design didn't go into the „sacrifice creatures to turn them into something different“ vibe that the word carnomancy usually evokes and I also very much enjoy the symmetry with your creature granting -3/-1 while being a 3/1 itself. Whether this might actually be too powerful as a common, considering it has considerable power, flash and a strong etb effect I could see it as an uncommon. But that would depend on the format, the environment and all that so I can't really ding you for that.
{Majicallah} I get the flavor, but the power level... Holy Moly! Considering that Ravenous Chupacabra can easily be considered an uncommon powerhouse, your card is completely bananas. It not only has +1/+2, it also has evoke to make it cheaper and it creates zombie tokens. What?! As I said, I get the flavor and like the idea as a concept but this card is way over the top when it comes to its power level.
{Boogymanjunior} Allright, Syphon Flesh is really the epitome of a gruesome card. That artwork alone gives me the creeps. Your card is a nice take on it and I like that you made the ability cost two cards instead of one because it just gives you so much card advantage. It fits the flavor and simply is a nice package, good job!
{And the winner is...} Daij_Djan! A flawless and elegant design that offers a lot of possibilities without making much words that also fits the flavor in an interesting way. Thank you all for participating!

Contradicting Word Instant Choose one: • Counter target spell. • Opponents can’t cast spells until end of turn. Choose this only if you cast Contradicting Word during your turn.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. Sicne last week and till the end of this one I have the latest possible shift at work, which means I don't get home till midnight – and as one might expect this doesn' leave me much time to sit down Still, to not stall this challenge any further, I'll announce viriss as winner for today! Will add a full judging till next week (when my shifts will finally be much more MSE friendly again ).

Artifact Whenever a creature attacks you or a planeswalker you control, Palace of Swords deals 1 damage to that creature. : Create a 1/1 colorless Spirit artifact creature token with flying and haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.

Neottolemo I can totally see a whole palace with swords flying all around! I want this to be a fortification! I think this might be too powerful for uncommon. Making a token creature (with flying) for two mana is really good. @niridulian So green! I think the cost and rarity are spot on, and that is totally a swordbreaker! The repeatable equipment destruction might be too good at uncommon. Boogymanjunior I like the ability. White counting your creatures and banishing based on the total. That's great. But for me 'falling on' a sword is more about a self punishment. If this was "Put to the Sword"! All great entries! Winner @niridulian

Used other than with a figurative or idiomatic meaning: To commit suicide by allowing one’s body to drop onto the point of one's sword. 2. (idiomatic, by extension) To resign from a job or other position of responsibility, especially when pressured to do 3. (idiomatic) To voluntarily take the blame for a situation. I took the second route (hence the flavour text). But glad that you still liked it.^^
