Judging time!
{gluestick248} So it's basically Craterhoof Behemoth but less overpowered. I like it although the beast flavor isn't particularly strong.
{thaneofglamis} This is pretty weaksauce and I really hate the empty space before the beginning of its rules text. However, Katoblepas is a pretty unique kind creature and I have respect for you not only finding suitable artwork but also designing a card that fits the flavor so well.
{schwa77} Well, the Rancor guy is really weak. While a 7/7 trample for 7 cmc is okay, demanding four colored mana is a bit excessive. The monstrous ability isn't much better, either, because your paying seven mana again just to put four +1/+1 counters on it. Mechanically, the card is fine, albeit rather uninspired. The second card, I'm not really sure what it does in the first place. Bloodthirst is alright but what does were to die mean? Does the creature die and then you get a 4/4 or do you create the 4/4 instead? And the activate this ability only once each turn makes no sense because it's not an activated ability but a triggered one.
{FLAREdirector} Fine card and a straightforward commander. The cost reduction is interesting and might just be a bit too complicated for its own good. Maybe it could reduce costs by so it rewards you for playing multicolored spells just like Edgewalker does? The buff is also a bit confusing to me. Why does it strengthen other beasts but all cats. Being a cat itself Murra will always be a 4/4.
{DoctorStrangelove} I've always felt that beasts should probably not be a stand alone tribe and therefore enjoyed the elf-beast-tribal theme in Onslaught block, similar to the ogre-demon-tribe in Kamigawa. Your card does a fine job showing how beasts and druids work together and her being the sister (or mother?) of Jiang Yanggu is extra cool. The only things I don't like are, first, that using her as you commander makes it impossible for you to play all the red beasts there are, and second, the mana production of her activated ability seems a bit unnecessary when she already grants a cost reduction to all of your beasts. You could rather have given her some activated ability requiring red mana so her color identity was . A fine card nonetheless!
{And the winner is...} DoctorStrangelove! A creative mechanical design, seasoned with great flavor. Congrats!
Thanks everyone for participating!

Whoops. Thanks for catching the missing "other Cats you control" clause.

Sorry for the wait; I split cereal all over my laptop which destroyed it, and I only just bought a new one.
For the next challenge, I'd like to see some non-red dragons.

Stiched Hellkite Creature - Zombie Dragon Flying As an additional cost to cast this spell, exile two or more creature cards from your graveyard. Stiched Hellkite enters rhe battlefield with two +1/+1 counters for each card exiled this way. 2/2

ameisenmeister - I like the presentation of Ephemeral as a mechanic and it fits into the Illusion idea well. Flash nicely works around the idea of no haste and overall this feels like a solid additional to the series of Illusions that sacrifice themselves on being targeted. Very solid design. Flo00 - Bit disappointed Skaab isn't in the name, because this is very much a Skaab effect, but it is a neat take that reminds me of Devour, a mechanic that existed on previous Dragons as well. I feel like there is a bit of a disconnect almost in that regard, I almost feel like it is more like a corpse-eating dragon of sorts, but good design nonetheless. Could cost and still be fine at , especially if you compare Relentless Skaabs and Skaab Ruinator. FLAREdirector - Can't help but imagine he breathes Vindcates for some reason, lol. I think what concerns me about this design though is that "exile target nonland permanent" without being an O-Ring effect is generally not an effect that appears below , and while and technically can hit the full range of existing permanent types I think at you are more likely to get Mortify or some limitation to what they can hit. I think if you limited the types a bit (Creature and Enchantment, or Creature/Artifact/Enchantment seems plausible), this would feel more like an Uncommon. nazsmith - I'm actually surprised this effect hasn't been put on a Sphinx yet. Wording is a bit off - see Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar but this does have a more respectable body (albeit being even more expensive - given how underused Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar is and how underpowered Kamigawa is as a whole, I think this could've been the same cost or even 1 mana cheaper). A cool idea, but maybe a bit underpowered in its current state. Jartis - Here we are, the daring Green dragon entry. I would've actually been kind of sad if there wasn't one. I like almost everything about this card - you didn't just do a green dragon, you made a flavorfully justifiable treefolk-esque dragon that fits the art, promotes an interesting take on toughness-based damage, and justified why he can only block flying creatures. I think where this unfortunately falls short is that given his rooted nature there is very little reason he shouldn't have Reach instead of Flying - yes, I know Arcades and various defenders-matters cards care about the difference, but the way the design is set up it really doesn't make sense that he can well, fly, if he's rooted to the ground. Even a little description on this choice (like what is the plane he lives on, why is this "flying") could've helped here, I feel, but otherwise, it's a noticeable crack in an almost-flawless design. (And for those that might say he does have wings, those wings don't have any webbing or feathers....) 1st - ameisenmeister - Most solid overall design. 2nd - Jartis - I really want to like this design, but I really also need to know why how this is flying instead of reach. 3rd - Flo00 - Neat spin on Devour.

Thanks for the win! Next creature type is troll. And remember that I'm also happy about any troll-esque noncreature cards you come up with.

Interesting challenge now that regenerate is a retired mechanic. While this tends to be a white ability, I think it fits fine into green.

Late judging is better than no judging, so here it is:
Sweet hommage to cards like Form of the Dragon and Form of the Squirrel. Not much to say about it except that the regeneration of trolls is nicely captured with the activated ability rather than giving you back your life total once each turn.
I don't mind this ability in green, could have even been straight out indestructible as it works the same 85 % of the cases and fits the color better. The ability is suitable for common level, as seen on Armored Transport.
Looks kind of weak at the first glance but as soon as you combine it with cards that add +1/+1 counters it gets interesting. This card would be hilarious with Mighty Emergence.
I don't know whether the set symbol for your card is a coincidence but the card very much reminds me of a core set uncommon signpost card for limited. It looks kind of powerful, but in a good way., although the second activated ability might be a tad too strong for just , given that you can use it as often as you have the mana.
Can't say that I'm a particular fan of the tribal type but given that this rtifact is the actual blood of a troll, it makes a lot of sense. The effect is fine and rare is the apprpriate rarity because cards like this can really make the board confusing.
Cool card! Snow mana isn't a favorite of mine but on your card it fits quite well. A giant troll living in the ice and coming to life again as soon as the snowfall covered his seemingly dead body is great flavor too.
No regeneration? No indestructibility or recursion? Unusual for a troll but your card is interesting in its own way. Chump blocking definitely isn't an option anymore and your opponent will likely just let this troll through every time it swings in.
{And the winner is...} qorbin! Normally, I'm a bit reluctant to let people win who don't provide a render but your card had everything a nice troll desing needs without being overly complex, yet very much pushing a certain type of deck that wants to be build in support for the card. Runner up was thaneofglamis for the creative interpretation of (abusable] troll regeneration.
Thanks everyone for participating!

From the MtG Wiki: Thus, their lives are short. But rather than despair, they savor each fleeting moment, squeezing out every last drop of enjoyment. Traditionally, before an Aetherborn dies, they throw a party with mandatory attendance for their friends and associates. Aetherborn that lack such social connections usually hijack the party of another of their kind. Reveling Aetherborn Creature - Aetherborn Reveling Aetherborn has haste if a creature died this turn. Only too aware of his mortality, Hani was determined to go out with a bang.2/2

Herald of the Trni-Ogg Creature - Aetherborn Vanishing 2 (This creature enters the battlefield with two time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from it. When the last is removed, sacrifice it.)When ~ dies, you may destroy target creature. 2/2 "Lord Fidelas sends his regards."Slight reference to the Tír na nÓg (the Celtic otherworld, ruled by the god of the dead) here. I wanted to do a sort of grim-reaper/proud English warrior hybrid take on them that would fit with their short lifespans.
