“Dear Hyle. The time has come to answer your questions, yes?” “Lei Koen. Thank you! I am glad to see you. Are the oth-” “All four of us!”, Steirun said as he peeked out from behind a mountain and flexed. A sea monster emerged from the lake behind Hyle with a boisterous shriek, then gave a beastly growl that shook the earth. Hyle squeaked “Leivya!” and sprinted to hug her. The High Builder let her and began to purr. “And we can be here because you wished us to be here!”
“It is true. Your created doorways for us. You did not realise it, yes? We knew they were your doing, and we entered them. We have always been impervious to the Blind Eternities, but could never travel through them. This time, we had you as our beacon, yes? Thank you, dear Hyle. For your friendship. For your faith.”
And then came the fourth, Zagr, the one of many limbs. She wasted no time, as usual. She began with a concerned frown on her face, her rough voice croaking like a hag in the night. “The Arm of Cruelty has been defeated for the time being.” She opened a palm, and a familiar elf rolled out. He bowed to Hyle and smile. “This mercenary’s service,” Zagr continued, “proved to be adequate.” “They have been beaten back?”, Hyle asked, a joyful radiance spreading through all of her body. “Wonderful!”
“I expect them not to be back soon for two reasons,” Zagr continued, showing no reaction to the mermaid’s commentary. “Firstly, they cannot travel through planes, but without us on Eilei to witness the destruction of what we created, they would find little entertainment in breaking what we built. Secondly, their leader, Ak Zur, is forever dead.”
“You killed one of them? But how? I didn’t even know they could die…” “Renouncing to be High Builders, they lost our perfect defence,” said Zagr. “It was the doing of this sellsword.”
Hyle turned to Rekal, amazed. He shrugged and smiled almost sheepishly. “You know, miss, I had a lot of help by those other mermaids from Lagan Tantid. Rather nice people, they were. Rather powerful. Kept him distracted, they did, you see? With ropes and nets and polearms, as I’d suggested. And then, well, you know, the old trick of the sharpened burning tree trunk through the eye and the brain never fails, innit? It’s a classic against cyclops. I read it in some book. Although, come to think of it, maybe I didn’t read about it. Maybe it’s not a classic. Maybe I heard it from a drunk. Maybe I was that drunk. Anyway, that’s how it went, miss.”
“We could come here thanks to you, Hyle,” continued Zagr ice-faced, seemingly ignoring Rekal. “That much is accurate. And we did come because we love you. But there is another reason.” Leivya grumbled sadly. “Others showed up to hire dear Rekal, yes? They told us of a danger encroaching the Arena. We agreed to work with them once we got here.” *** One. Two. Three. Four. That was how it had begun in the morning. By now Lindri had counted to an unreasonably high number, and kept counting. Sword swing after sword swing, each taking a chunk off the body of the mountain, with a steady pounding rhythm. Then all of a sudden she sheathed her weapon with a swift motion, turned around, and spread her wings in flight. She landed and stomped her boots deep in the graveyard dirt. She raised her arms up in the air. “Arise!”, she shouted. Arms and legs began to crawl out of the ground: teeth, to gnaw out of it. Lindri’s words weren’t necessary, of course. She was just pumping herself up. She was just getting started. Now again. Louder. “Arise!”
A horde was already at her command. This was a start. With a gesture, she directed them to start marching. It was time to conquer this plane. It was time for this plane to know war.
*** “So, like:” Prince Alastor opened casually, but his voice immediately became serious, “keep this in mind, Heldra: the Kingdom of Alvosi wants you to succeeds, so that she can’t get to us. We are putting a lot of assets and technology at your disposal, but you mustn’t disappoint us, or we will take them away from you, no matter how far you’ve got by then.”
The blond man averted his gaze from Lindri’s walking dead and turned to the Prince. Heldra’s face was weary. “I’m glad Alvosi is helping. But I will be working to take her down with or without your support. Now let’s reach the High Builders at the castle they made us. We need to start on damage control and recruitment.”

Held only in the mind of a very tired, and very thirsty aven, flying as fast as they could to warn their people of the danger. {Response Card - Outland Protector} Outland Protector: The cycling trigger is neat, but the default mode is a bit weak so I'd fiddle with the costs or the starting p/t a bit more. 7/10
The thirsty aven has a fortunate encounter; they are given food and water, and their body is reinvigorated by Hyle's magic. She gives them more information, mentioning that the horde's leader is a winged warrior called Lindri, and, more importantly, telling them the location of some of the castles the High Builders have built for shelter. Unfortunately, when they take flight again, before they can reach their next destination, they encounter thrown stones, thrown bones, fired arrows, and fired crossbow bolts on their way. Lindri has good eyesight. She doesn't need glasses.
Instant Target creature an opponent controls gets -3/-3 until end of turn. Each other creature that player controls gets -2/-2 until end of turn.

They had to get back to the city, they had too... They heard the sound a moment before it hit. A streaking arrow that was going to find its mark. They had the eternity of a second to think what was going to happen. Oh Godhead, they weren't going to make it... The arrow struck. Its target did not fall. A flash of purple light erupted around the aven, the arrow, and other projectiles, harmlessly deflected from the courier. The aven opened their eyes, thanked the goddess, and flew like hell was on their tail feathers. The Godhead saw all within her realm. Death Volley: Yeah, Biting Rain is symmetrical, this is biting rain+. This card is not happening at this cost, especially when Languish exists. 6/10

Lindri thinks about unleashing her- No. As useful it is at range, this one doesn't deserve to be shot down with it. She takes flight after the aven, enhancing her speed with magic. With one hand, she hurls death magic at the messenger. With the other, she draws her sword and goes to impale her target. It wasn't hell at the aven's tail feathers, but not something that guaranteed more chances of survival than it, either.
Deflect those Primitive Tools: Yeah this feels appropriate for Archenemy. 10/10
Instant Creatures your opponents control lose and can't gain hexproof and indestructible until end of turn. Target creature you control deals damage equal to its power to another target creature.

Relentless, fast, and nearly upon as they lunged... A loud crack was heard as the blade made contact, not reflected, but gliding over an invisible barrier the aven had. The confusion gave the bird person just enough time to maneuver away from Lindri, and out of sight. It seemed this one answered to someone powerful, and well aware of their danger. A challenge by any other name. Inescapable Pursuit: Issue. This still targets on cast, even if the first ability removes hexproof, so it doesn't work. Presuming there was a way for this to work however, I think it would be a decent card. Side note, the remove relevant keywords text also needs to read as "lose hexproof and indestructible and can't have or gain hexproof or indestructible". 5/10

I think a "Choose a creature" wording instead of something that targeted might work?
Shielded by Hope: Seems comparatively stronger to most variants of this effect that have been printed but c'mon it's just damage prevention for a single creature this'll probably be fine. 9/10
Out of sight? Yeah, right. She could still smell the aven's blood from here. Now to get to work properly. If this is time 1 2 3 4 5 6 Then this is stretched time. During stretched time, neither combatant gets as tired as they normally would, but when the stretching ends, the fatigue hits them all at once. Of course, for such a short effort, there would be barely any fatigue at all in the first place, but Lindri liked stretching. 1 . . . . 2 . . . . 3 . . . . 4 . . . . 5 . . . . 6 This is an example of what could happen when time gets stopped inside stretched time. It takes very specific training to move during stopped time. But this is just an example, and she would not need to go overboard with this aven anyway. With time standing still, Lindri could catch up to the aven and kill them in what the others would perceive as literally no time at all. In case the force protecting the messenger could somehow act in stopped time as well, she readied further precautions to ensure a successful murder.
Legendary Planeswalker - Lindri : Scry 1, then tap or untap target permanent. : Return target permanent to its owner's hand. : Take two extra turns after this one. You may end this turn and those turns at any time (without needing to pass your turn).

Lindri could easily catch up with the aven in the space between seconds, but only if she utilized them. ...And somehow, despite her best reasoning, her intent, even her straining against the thought, there was a will, something urging her to use her own might, not the tricks and magic she had at her disposal. There was a weight upon on urge to stretch time, to call on her varying abilities. If she wanted that bird dead, she'd have to do it without any trickery. {Response Card - Dictate of Force}
Lindri, Tyrant of Time: Not sure how I feel about the ultimate and just ending the turn whenever. While flavorful, this effect is really strong, and should probably have a rider that you can only end the turn when you could cast a sorcery, as many end turn effects do. 7/10

One of Lindri's army members finds a book randomly materializing in their hand. Something within the book attempts to compel that person (or being) to open the book. Around it, one can smell the pungent scent of blood. Compulsion to Follow Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and attacks each combat if able. Whenever enchanted creature attacks, discard a card, then draw a card.

Lindri recovers quickly. But this makes her slightly angrier. Losing her army all in one moment wasn't a problem. She only needed an army because she couldn't be everywhere at once. Kalev had basically just bottled most of her followers into the aether once at the end of the Racecourse, and she hadn't managed to uncork them completely yet. But that was no big concern. She had come to the Arena with no army at all, and raised the dead to obtain one immediately. If she wanted a new one, she only needed to find a gravesite. Or make one. That would be easy. No, the problem was determining how Rudara did that, and whether she could just do that again, and again. And if so, how c- Ah. The whole landscape is unchanged. And a detail had escaped her. Time keeps standing still. The sun is frozen in the sky. Particles of fine dust and pollen were suspended in the air, waiting for her command to resume their flight. She touches one, and it moved, while the others stay immobile. They are where she had left them. What if everything else was, too? That would mean you're still in my head. Absconded. If that is true... I know exactly where that aven should be. I can't smell their blood. Let's see if I can get it out of them.

An ill wind blows through Lindri's horde. Little by little, seemingly random of the dead slow and come to a halt, frozen in their tracks. To the bystanders on the ground, this is a mere show of force.
At a bird's eye view, an observer may notice the frozen horde takes the shape of a word. A planeswalker may notice the word was simply 'Hello'.
An Ill Wind Blows Scheme When you set this scheme in motion, put a -1/-1 counter on each tapped creature your opponents control.

The being opens the book. Unfortunately, being dead, it can't read and just keeps staring into it with empty orbits (its eyes rotted a long time ago) as it keeps on marching, endlessly forward. Lindri has secretly noticed the book as soon as it appeared because of the smell of the blood on it, but currently she's giving orders for part of her troops to split off in a certain direction, and hasn't addressed it yet.
Compulsion to Follow: Compared to Furor of the Bitten this seems like a cool and balanced variant. Really interesting. It seems pretty flavourful as well. 10/10
Mindless Dead Creature - Zombie Whenever a player discards a card, you may create a token that's a copy of Mindless Dead. 2/2

That bastard Kalev? He hadn't seen him cryomance, but who even knew what he could do now that he was in that metal suit. Heldra and his little band of heroes or whatever their deal was supposed to be? Gram might have taunted her if he was on his own, but this was neither Heldra nor Dahn's style... Were they even still working together? What about Rudara? Possibly, but this felt like someone was telling her they were on the same plane as her, and she already knew Rudara had to be there. Would freeing the frozen dead be worth the effort? She could always find more later. But once more, the issue was: could they do this again? And this time, it wasn't mind magic or an illusion. If they were frozen again right after they were broken free, she'd know.
Lindri cleared her throat and let air flow deep in her lungs and diaphragm. Across the planes, sirens like her were noted for the beauty and powers of their singing voices. A little opera-style performance could be as good a way as any to break the ice. And hers would be perfectly in tune.

It seems the intruder was content to watch, for now. Erratic Return - hrm, RG feels bit off. BR or UB maybe? Also paying four mana to impulse draw is blargh. 7/10(re Aimless's name, was going for 'taking advantage of unrelated/aimless actions', ft was calling back the last Inspector Aevia post where she used a lot of throwaway lines from Arina/Ominous/Hanska to hurt Mei and Karina)

Well, more accurately, without waiting for an answer, Lindri attempts to blow up Nadedja's mech and thus ruin a perfectly good sports car, by her sheer rage only, but still. I mean, technically, it is rage against a machine, but not 100% unambiguously against a system, so the card doesn't deserve that name. Instead, let's go with
Instant Destroy all artifacts.

"Get yourself back together!," she shouts at the limbs, who reassemble into zombies. Sure, some of their parts might be a bit misplaced now, but a zombie with three arms and five legs, one of which has replaced its head, can still do work, right? The horde marches on. It seems the intruder was content to watch, for now. Erratic Return - hrm, RG feels bit off. BR or UB maybe? Also paying four mana to impulse draw is blargh. 7/10(re Aimless's name, was going for 'taking advantage of unrelated/aimless actions', ft was calling back the last Inspector Aevia post where she used a lot of throwaway lines from Arina/Ominous/Hanska to hurt Mei and Karina) Oh, no, the name fits the card's overall flavour, Idk if the flavour text does, though, because it feels a bit weird with the name imo

One of Lindri's army members finds a book randomly materializing in their hand. Something within the book attempts to compel that person (or being) to open the book. Around it, one can smell the pungent scent of blood. Compulsion to Follow Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and attacks each combat if able. Whenever enchanted creature attacks, discard a card, then draw a card.
The being opens the book. Unfortunately, being dead, it can't read and just keeps staring into it with empty orbits (its eyes rotted a long time ago) as it keeps on marching, endlessly forward. Lindri has secretly noticed the book as soon as it appeared because of the smell of the blood on it, but currently she's giving orders for part of her troops to split off in a certain direction, and hasn't addressed it yet.
Compulsion to Follow: Compared to Furor of the Bitten this seems like a cool and balanced variant. Really interesting. It seems pretty flavourful as well. 10/10 Mindless Dead Creature - Zombie Whenever a player discards a card, you may create a token that's a copy of Mindless Dead. 2/2
Mindless Dead: Terrifying with free discard outlets. I think I'd feel a bit better about this if you had to pay some kind of cost to creature token copies, like maybe exile creature card from your graveyard? Neat idea and a good counter though. 7/10The book planeswalks away.

Neottolemo Rudara blinked momentarily, far from the scene where she knew what was unfolding. A hellion of wrath, with powers that made the land groan in agony and the fabric of reality shudder at her approach. It was inevitable she would learn of her, but now she had underestimated them, and it had cost her. She had failed the one life, and her attempts to counteract this had forced her to fail even more. Careless. The aven's blood would be spilled, but his memory would not be forgotten. Rudara's past life may have been in the mist, but she never forgave or forgot a grude. {Response Card - Grim Fate} Incautious Experiment: Common feels too low for this, especially with the exiling the top. Would be fine at uncommon, but I think it's fine otherwise. 7/10

Lindri draws her blade out of the aven's body, her perception of others returning as the aven's blood gushes out. As promised, she cuts their head off, then turns them undead and sends them on a return trip, carrying their own decapitated head under an arm.
Creature - Bird Zombie Flying, menace, lifelink
Headless Aven can't block.

Lindri's eyes are sharp enough to notice. She sheathes her sword and approaches in flight. "What are you writing down in such a hurry? Are you here to join me?," she asks the woman, with a grin.
Instant Destroy up to three target creatures you don't control chosen at random, then you lose 3 life. If all of the targeted creatures shared a controller, destroy them and you lose 6 life instead.

NeottolemoThe aven is eventually put to its final rest, not without returning to its original outpost and several others with its grisly sight and newfound news. No one was safe, not even servants of the Godhead. The scout was buried, a small ceremony held for him in his home village. Rudara, far yet always close, heard the ripples of discontent at the scouts death, but knew there was nothing more she could do. The grudge would be repaid. Twice full, to the butcher of her servant, and likely more of them by the end. Headless Aven: Too good for its cost, even at uncommon. Yes Vampire Nighthawk exists, but even with the downsides, it has a lot of evasion on it. Less power would likely do the trick. 7/10

Neottolemo — Dismantling Fury: Good clean hybrid design that would've fit neatly into Iron Horse. 9/10The mech explodes, shrapnel flying outward in all directions—then stopping and reversing. By the time Nadejda falls, she's landing in the cockpit of a small aircraft assembled from the scraps of her car, which takes off and swoops around to strafe Lindri's horde of zombies. "Excellent explosion! I'm going to have to figure out how armor mechs against people blowing them up from the inside, huh?"Swept-Wing Avenger Artifact — Vehicle As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may sacrifice an artifact. If you do, when it enters the battlefield, it becomes an artifact creature. (This effect lasts indefinitely.)Flash, flying, indestructible Whenever ~ attacks, it deals 4 damage divided as you choose among any number of targets. Crew 5 5/7

So, yeah, this is kind of looking like a usually better Inferno Titan which is itself usually better than Burning Sun's Avatar so I feel like at the very least I'd drop the damage to 3. 8/10
Lindri roars, draws her sword, and flies higher: she manouvres in the sky above the aircraft. When she sees an opening, she just sort of dives towards the cockpit swordpoint first with another roar.
Lethal Charge Instant Whenever a creature becomes blocked this turn, each creature that's blocking it gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the power of the attacking creature.
