Up: Not a fan of how the landfall proc only checks for one type of line as that doesn't feel very organic. Other than that, interesting but mediocre take. Hand of Dromoka Creature - Hound Knight You may remove four +1/+1 counters from creatures you control rather than pay CARDNAME's mana cost if you control a Plains. Flash When CARDNAME enters the battlefield, target player sacrifices a tapped creature. 3/3 Next: Jerrard of the Closed Fist and Dungrove Elder

Up: Elegant muddle of the given cards - with some added stuff that makes it balanced yet playable. I like the Hound Knight subtype Elder of Jerrard Creature - Elemental ~'s power is equal to the number of Mountains you control and ~'s toughness is equal to the number of Forests you control. */* Next: Staff of the Ages and Spirit Shackle

Up: Seems simple enough. I like the design. More annoying than the square stat scaling, but if you have this in your deck, you can set up your lands appropriately. Nice job! Shackles of the Ages Artifact Creatures with landwalk abilities can be blocked as though they didn’t have those abilities. Whenever a creature with a landwalk ability attacks, you may pay . If you do, put a -1/-1 counter on that creature. Next: Hammerhand & Tenza, Godo's Maul

Up: I'd keep the TAP part instead of targeting only the attacking creatures, so you may snip creatures activating abilities. Overall, good card.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Legendary Enchantment Artifact - Aura Equipment Enchant creature When Tenza, Godo’s Hammerhand enters the battlefield, tap up to two target creatures. Enchanted/Equiped creature has haste and trample. As long as the Enchanted/Equiped creature is legendary, it gets +4/+4.

Up: It seems a like combining both made it way more expensive than necessary. The enchant-equip creature is a little confusing as they are different ways of attaching a card to a permanent. It is also unclear how this will behave when it becomes unattached to the creature it is attached to. Does it go to the graveyard like an Aura or does it stay on the field like and artifact? Although I understand the idea behind the card it is way too confusing for me to get behind it, no matter how interesting the idea was. I am sorry, I really want to like this wackiness. 5/10 Well, artifact ramp and discard effects. Vault of Spite Artifact ~ doesn't untap during your untap step. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay . If you do, untap ~. At the beginning of your draw step, if ~ is tapped, it deals 2 damage to you. : Target opponent reveals his or her hand. You choose a creature or planeswalker card from it. That player discards that card. Next: Pay No Heed and Scepter of Empires

Up: Ran some numbers in my head. For reference, I think the fact that you need to pay not to get kerfuffled every turn balances this out nicely. for a condition-free discard 1, for a condition-free discard 2, etc. Seems okay. Shield of Empires Artifact , : The next time a source of your choice would deal damage to you this turn, prevent that damage. Then, it deals damage equal to the damage prevented this way to target creature or planeswalker if you control artifacts named Staff of Empires and Throne of Empires. Next: Burning-Fist Minotaur and Ruthless Instincts

Up: A very nice defesnive card. My main issue with it though, is what is "Staff of Empires"? Did you mean sceptre/crown of empires, or is this referring to another custom card? Overall, I give it a 7/10. Venomhorn Minotaur Creature - Minotaur Spellshaper Deathtouch , Discard a card: If ~ is attacking, it gets +2/+2 until end of turn. Otherwise, untap ~ and it gains reach until end of turn. Activate this ability only once each turn. 2/1 Next: Fable of Wolf and Owl + Peel from Reality

Up: Nice rare to be afraid of. I think the ability would be ok at two mana since you can do it only once each turn. Would fit nicely into Amonkhet. A Tale of Reality Enchantment Whenever you cast a green spell, choose target opponent. You may have you and that opponent create a 2/2 green Wold creature token. Whenever you cast a blue spell, choose target creature you control and target creature you don’t control. You may return both creature to their owner’s hand. Next: Windreaver + Myojin of Infinite Rage. Oh wow. Have fun.

UP: Peel from reality is usable in draft because it basically trades your dork for the opponents blocker/finisher. Other places it is an enabler for things like ninjustsu. Having that attached to every blue spell you cast seems a little too powerful. Thought Scour that basically bounces your dork, to save them. It is an extremely good stalling engine. Requires build around to work properly but you can basically make their most powerful creature for a 2/2. Even with all that, seems pretty well balanced. Well this one is hard due to space in the card. Myojin of Reaving Winds Legendary Creature - Spirit Elemental Indestructible. Once during your turn you may have ~ lose indestructible until end of turn. If you do, choose one: - Until end of turn, when a creature becomes tapped, untap it.
- Creatures you control get +0/+7 until end of turn. You may switch their power and toughness.
- Return any number of creatures to their owner's hand.

Up: First mode of the ability is basically an infinite combo in of itself. Then again, Omnipotence exists to make infinites happen. Maybe this is fine. Ironroot Elves Creature - Elf Warrior : Add . : Monstrosity 3. (If this isn't monstrous, put three +1/+1 counters on it and it becomes monstrous.)

Up: This is a great design. Really clever way of balancing the necessary size and mana dorkiness. Ravenous Skybreaker Creature - Giant Beast 5/4 Bloodthirst 2 At long as Ravenous Skybreaker has a +1/+1 counter on it, it has menace. , SacrificeRavenous Skybreaker: It deals damage equal to its power to any target. Up: Good Muddle. I even like this one better than the original Skybreaker. Worm Charge Sorcery Target player sacrifices a legendary land, then sacrifices a land. Creatures you control get +1/+0 for each land in that player’s graveyard. Next: Spirit Token... uh, no wait... Cyclops of Eternal Fury + Luminous Bonds

Up: You certainly combined the cards mechanically, but in the process you lost one major part of Bestow: the bestowed creature doesn't grant any abilities or restrictions that it itself doesn't have when unattached. I like the idea, though - and I especially like the addition of a color to just the bestow cost. 8/10 Rabid Sliver Creature - Sliver Slivers you control have " : Choose target creature you don't control. That creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn, then this creature fights that creature." 2/2 Next: Unfulfilled Desires and Treasonous Ogre.

Rabid Sliver: Great card. Really like how flavorful for Gruul this would be. 10/10 Treasonous Desires Enchantment At the beginning of each players end step, if that player lost 3 or more life each of that player's opponents may draw a card. If they do, they discard a card. (Damage causes loss of life.)

Up: Interesting and fun, but it's missing a bit of the feel of the Ogre - more like Stygg or Pain Magnification. 6/10 Pretty clunky but: Oppressive Mantle Enchantment - Aura Enchant equipment. Convoke Activated abilities of enchanted equipment cost more to activate. Enchanted equipment has "Equipped creature cannot attack or block unless its controller pays "Hard to draw a blade in these ceremonial robes. Still, we have to stand - err, kneel - on ceremony." - Vimes, Guardsman

Up: Doesn't need convoke imo but a solid design otherwise! Love the flavor text as well
Gaea's Whirlwind Sorcery Destroy all creatures with flying. The next creature spell you cast this turn can’t be countered.
Not my most creative design I know but there wasn't a lot to go off of...

Up: A very interesting boardwipe. The two effects make a weird combination, but it's a fun bonus. Looks very anti-blue without directly referring the color. I'ts definitely something green could do. Lightbug Hive Creature - INsect Whenever Lightbug Hive is dealt damage, you gain that much life. Pay 50 life: Create fifty 1/1 green Insect creature tokens. Morph 6/6 Next: Blessed Reversal + Island. Hm. You can take Ichorid as second card if you want.

Up: I like the use of Morph to encourage you to gain life if you're not able to do it any other way. The flavor and mechanics mesh together perfectly and you've kept enough of both cards in the muddle while putting your own fresh twist on it. 10/10, a real home run and set-worthy. I think I can make the OG combination work, tbh. Blessed Waters Instant :uncommon: You gain 4 life, then gain an additional 2 life for each Island you control. Next: Invigorate and Eternal Dragon

Up: foco, you are supposed to give feedback to the post above! Your card is a nice and funny muddle of the two cards. It probably makes you crunch some numbers in your head before deciding what to pay for X. Sacrificing Goblins to pump your other Goblins feels like a very Goblin-y thing to do. There is just one problem: Tecnically the card doesn't remember what you paid for X when it enters the battlefield, so either you can ssacrifice any number of Goblins or X will allways be 0. (I'm not sure which one. For that reason, Quarantine Field uses counters.) One way to make it work would be "When ~ enters the battlefield, pay and sacrifice X Goblins, if you do, ..." That way you also dodge weird removal interactions where someone removes a Goblin or two after you paid for . Galea, Wind’s Whisper Legendary Creature - Angel Flying, hexproof Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to Galea, Wind’s Whisper. At the beginning of each end step, if seven or more damage has been prevented to Galea this turn, draw seven cards. 7/7 Next: Stampeding Wildebeests + Giant Strength

Goblin Cannibals Creature - Goblin ::rare: Whenever a creature dealt damage by CARDNAME dies, you gain life equal to that creature's toughness. , Sacrifice a Goblin: Put a +1/+1 counter on each Goblin creature you control. Auntie taught him that he couldn't leave the table until all the food was gone. He follows that to this day.3/2 UP: Strong, but then again, it's 8-mana. Probably not going to break anything, although it's resilient as fuck. Definitely feels like a s'well Timmy mythic. Apex Wildebeast Creature - Beast Trample When CARDNAME enters the battlefield, you may return another creature you control to its owner's hand. If you do, CARDNAME gets +2/+2 and gains haste until end of turn. Everything runs. 5/5 Next: Circular Logic and Frenetic Efreet

UP: A 5/5 trampler for 5 is good, and a 7/7 hasty trampler for 5 is great, specially in limited. Still, I think bounce effectes are more of a UG thing rather than a RG's, but still, pretty good card after all. Also, thanks for the feedback! <3 Here's my card, and the next two are Darkmor Sorceress and Fling. ¡Good luck! Attachment Deleted

UP: I don't really get it... why include the coin flipping at all? Just sitting around and flipping coins for no reason, and just an absurd number of them? What if you choose something like 10,000,000? Does your opponent really have to sit there while you dick around flipping pointless coins? Needs more focus and a second look for weird interactions. kazerima : Pretty good, simple design. We've seen this design before on Cragganwick Cremator and Heart-Piercer Manticore. That said, this is an uncommon at best. Lillia Orith, Mechanist Legendary Creature-- Human Artificer Whenever a nontoken artifact you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may pay . If you do, scry X, where X is that artifact's converted mana cost. You may reveal an artifact card from among them and put it onto the battlefield. "I will find you, little brother. No matter how long it takes. No matter how far I must go."2/3 Next: Aura Gnarlid + Voice of All
|
|
|
Post by foco on Jul 8, 2018 14:35:44 GMT
UP: I like the card, but I think it may be too powerful for something like commander. Paying 4 mana for your commander then 2 and getting something like a Brighsteel collossus is pretty broken... I'm good with the scry ability, but maybe putting an artifact on the battlefield is too good. Also, the wording seems kind of strange... anyways, I think the artifact going to your hand instead of being put directly to the battefield is better. Attachment DeletedNEXT: Cunning Wish + Kor Skyfisher

Up: Nice design - I can see aspects of both cards and they come together fairly coherently. I know the name's a combo of the cards, but it still seems weird to give Gnarlids an angel-y voice when they're beasts but I can't complain.
Creature - Kor Wizard Flying When Cunning Skyfisher enters the battlefield, you may choose an instant card you own from outside the game, reveal that card, and put it into your hand. If you do, exile Cunning Skyfisher. 2/3
