Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our five-hundred and thirtieth challenge!
The winner of the "Keep it down" poll was Daij_Djan with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... Everybody knows horizontal cycles in Magic. Basically each set includes some five or ten card cycles – like the new common lands in the upcoming Duskmourn set, for example. Your challenge however will be about the lesser known vertical cycles, which means a cycle spanning across rarities. The challenge is simple: Design a vertical cycle. Your cycle may contain four cards (so one per rarity) or three (skipping a rarity of your choice). You may design all cards for your entry, or you may use one existing card as part of your cycle. So you'll end up designing at least two, and at maximum four own cards total. And just to absolutely clarify: Yes, the entire vertical cycle will be your entry. Have fun, everyone

According to my notes, this is supposed to be part of a 20-card megacycle of charms: Warm Charm  Instant  Choose one— • This spell deals 1 damage to any target. • Add . • Target player draws two cards, then discards two cards. • Destroy target artifact with mana value of 2 or less. Heat Charm Instant  Choose one— • This spell deals 2 damage divided as you choose among one or two targets. • Add . • Target player draws three cards, then discards three cards. • Destroy target artifact with mana value of 3 or less. Burn Charm Instant  Choose one— • This spell deals 3 damage divided as you choose among one, two, or three targets. • Add . • Target player draws three cards, then discards three cards at random. • Destroy target artifact with mana value of 4 or less. Char Charm Instant  Choose two— • This spell deals 4 damage however you choose among any number of targets. • Add five . • Target player draws four cards, then discards three cards at random. • Destroy target artifact with mana value of 5 or greater. |

Don't try to errata all the surgeons. They are Carriers. Chrome Host Assistant   Creature — Phyrexian Surgeon 1/3  , Sacrifice ~: Proliferate. Chrome Host Anatomist  Creature — Phyrexian Surgeon 2/4 When ~ enters, you may tap it. If you do, tap target creature and put a stun counter on it. , Sacrifice ~: Proliferate, then proliferate. Chrome Host Operator  Creature — Phyrexian Surgeon 3/5 When ~ enters, you may tap it. If you do, tap up to two creatures and put a stun counter on them. , Sacrifice ~: Proliferate, proliferate, then proliferate. , Tap another creature you control: Proliferate. |

Small Slime  Creature - Ooze When Small Slime dies, create two 1/1 green Ooze creature tokens. 2/2
When Big Slime dies, you may search your graveyard, hand and/or library for up to two cards named Mitotic Slime or for up to four cards named Small Slime and put them onto the battlefield. If you search your library this way, shuffle. 8/8
