ZephyrPhantomRead through everything again, and got some notes. Sigil still references mana pools Description of combat is inconsistent: B will also rate C’s card, or C will make one card responding to each attacker, in which case A and B will rate only their respective cards. Change Conflux achievement to CIL 5 Change Epic Proportions achievement to be mana value 10 Holistic wisdom: specify whether or not this achievement now require buying tribal. Change One with Nothing achievement to be mana value Change Blind Seer to be Conjure

Many thanks as always PWW.
V1.21
- Combat description rewritten slightly to make things less ambiguous - specifically, if player C is attacked by multiple players A and B, C will make one card responding to each attacker, in which case A and B will rate only their respective cards. - Addendum to combat - You are allowed to reuse previous custom designs your character made for Attack/Defend/Gift/Assist. Like anything else in this game, recipients should rate based on how appropriate the reuse was for the situation. - Remaining mentions of mana pool in Sigil of the Commander removed. - Conflux now uses proper color identity wording - Epic Proportions now uses mana value wording - Holistic Wisdom now requires Tribal for all characters that get the achievement after this patch. If you got the achievement before that you're exempt. - Blind Seer now uses conjure wording.

There are perks for new card types/supertypes, new keywords, and new colors.
Can we create new zones? I ask because the main bulk of Purple, as I use in my custom sets (and thus would use it on BB), interacts with a new zone called the Archive. Other colors also interact with it, but Purple has the most direct means of putting cards into, and getting cards out of, the Archive zone. Would a new Perk need to be created to allow this?

I'm actually surprised the rules didn't cover this! I'll make a perk that lets you do it once you've brought it. I think the level of change this would impart to a game would be similar to a new card type or supertype being introduced so I'll introduce it as a new advanced perk (i.e. costs 2 skill points to buy) that reads as follows: As always this is open to rebalancing based on feedback.

If we're adding Breach Specialist, should we also add a Lotus Bloom / Librarian of Leng -style achievement for it?

If we're adding Breach Specialist, should we also add a Lotus Bloom / Librarian of Leng -style achievement for it? Yep. Stealth added as: • Through the Breach : Your previous character has created a new zone that has had at least five cards with ratings of 8/10 or above.

Would the Dungeon card type be unlocked with the Venture keyword, or do you buy the card type separate?

Would the Dungeon card type be unlocked with the Venture keyword, or do you buy the card type separate? Seeing as they completely overlap, yes - will be shortly added as a perk named Triumphant Adventurer.

Where do Lessons fit in? My assumption that I'll be rolling with is that it basically requires a point and would be an unlisted "perk" (and Learn would also be it's own point bc it functions very well without Lessons).

I'll post again when I can officially update but:
Lessons - Yeah, I think those should be in the naturally unlocked I/S subtypes.
Also, I notice Initiative is an upcoming mechanic, but due to the large differences in how it functions from normal Venture I may note in Triumphant Adventurer that it has to be unlocked separately, much like Hidden Agenda and Renowned Spy.

In the Getting Started Guide where we define that you're allowed to make tokens, should we specify that while you are free to use canon tokens like Clue, Treasure, Food, etc, you have to buy non-canon tokens like Vials?

Yes, if you plan to make a token 'evergreen' you have to pay for it like you would a keyword. A note for this has been added in both the rules here and Getting Started. The previous rulings mentioned have also been added to Battle Boards V1.213.

The clarification needs clarification: What do we mean by "make it evergreen"? While Treasure tokens are probably deciduous by this point, I don't think Clue or Food tokens are evergreen; could it just say if you want to use non-canon tokens, you need to pay for it like you would a keyword?

Was having trouble finding the right words for it, yeah. Non-canon is a much better wording and I'll edit that shortly.

ZephyrPhantomI don't plan on doing so any time soon probably, but I noticed Class is not under Enchanter. I assume thats where that would belong, right?

The third bullet point of "Attacking and Defending with Multiple Cards" refers to spending mana, which has been removed.
