There's a lot to unpack in this update, so to keep things as straightforward as possible:
Getting Started Thread - It was highlighted that Battle Boards lost a lot of its explanations in ongoing efforts to make things more convenient for already entrenched players. To remedy this, we now have a Getting Started thread that can be found HERE or at the link under the "Joining" section. Questions about the rules and feedback can still be directed here.
Combat Section - has been completely reworked into a new five-action system - Attack, Defend, Gift, Assist, and Conjure. Most of these are similar to their pre v1.2 equivalents but "Conjure" in particular is "Call for Aid" now treated as a combat action. Furthermore, Mana Pool has been removed as a resource. If you invested any valor in skill points to upgrade that, you get a 100% refund on that now.
Chieftan is now just unlocking tribal as a type.
Numerous terms updated to match recent magic syntax - the two big ones are CMC -> Mana Value and the change of "owning colors"/"multicolor level" to color identity to bring the game more in line with Magic rules. Designed cards now must respect your color identity (as opposed to just the cost box.). Owning colors can now be thought of as adding colors to your color identity, and the multicolor level is now the color identity level (which is essentially "the number of color symbols you can actually put on the card.")
Multiple sections were condensed because they covered the same base concepts (Broadly speaking, everything now falls under: Buying Skills, Combat, Valor and Score, Achievements).
