PLANES:This list will be updated with new information as future sets come out, to reflect the story of said sets, if they take place on these planes.
There's a lot of planes I came up with for Planechase, so I'm gonna be adding to this list in bits and pieces... {Planechase Planes} Adiar:
Showcased in: Planechase: MSE {Spoiler} The history of Adiar is millenia old, and most people living there would say that what happened then is less important than its consequences now. Adiar is a world that has all but forgotten about magic, and replaced it with scientific advances, technology, and the magical abilities of money. This is speaking for the general populace, anyway. Adiar's magical history is kept by an order called The Muses, who have representatives in almost all companies that are large enough to matter. The Muses are not secretive, in fact, they're rather the opposite. They look fondly upon the world as it was, when wizards and magic were everywhere. They dislike the idea that "The world has been domesticated." Plane Cards: Atlas Plaza: The plaza outside of Atlas Bank, which provides services for many large, powerful companies. Muses' Library: The library of spellbooks held at the Muses' monastery. Isle of Sanctuary: An island specifically left untouched by the rest of the world's development.
Aeri:Showcased in: Planechase: MSE{Spoiler}Aeri is a plane where the ground has been abandoned. To replace them, giant Skycities were created by every sentient race. These Skycities stand to this day. The largest of these Skycities are Scyphio, Humidum, Highguard, and the Aether Hive.
Scyphio is a city made of tunnels. It was originally populated by a humanoid species whose name has fallen to time, but now it is populated by their creations, and a few artificers here and there. These robotic beings maintain the city, and keep it in the air, and find time for little else.
Humidum was created by the Merfolk. In addition to said Merfolk, the city also houses many species of acquatic animals that were brought with them from the oceans below.
Highguard was created as a joint effort between the Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Veldalken. It manages to support all of them, and they live in an uneasy peace.
The Aether Hive was constructed by the Calliopus, a species of bee-like creatures. It currently serves as the seat of power for the Calliopus Queendom.
Cathmin:Cyth:Demni:Fi:Forin:Gonarra:{Spoiler}The Gods of Gonarra have been dead for eons. Cuthan has replaced them. "Improved" them. But they are not the same.
Gonarra is a plane tormented by a monstrous creature named Cuthan that corrupts what it touches, similar to Emrakul's presence on Innistrad, though nowhere near as powerful.
Isth:Krist:Lithia:Mit:Nisko:Victus:
{Spoiler}Victus is a plane of strife.
For the past 220 years, the nations of Victus have either been in a war, or preparing for one. Currently, the preparations are being made by two large empires: The Fotian Empire, and the Pagosan Empire, both of which started as much smaller nations before acquiring more and more land through wars. Plane Cards: Ignitius: The seat of the Fotian Empire. Mount Titor: The seat of the Pagosan Empire. Scrap Street: The house of legendary weaponsmith Isa Loth, who chooses not to provide for either side of the war.
Xoran:
{Spoiler}Xoran is a plane whose history is plagued by disaster.
One of its largest cities is called Wreckage, for that's what it was. Centuries ago, an empire created a ship to sail between the stars, but this project failed. Now a city has been built inside and above the old ship, trying to restore what the empire was before it fell, though many predict that only another disaster is on the horizon. Plane Cards: Wreckage: Among the largest cities on Xoran. Duvac Canyon: The location of another legendary disaster.
Zeroth: May: The plane of May is a varied but large one. Vast plains, a towering mountain range, unexplored oceans, and an unknowably large forest cover the plane, and peoples of all kinds inhabit each region. The cultures of May are rich, with a long history, and all sorts of issues, most notable surrounding their gods. May is no stranger to interplanar threats, and barely survived a mass extinction somewhere around 2000 AR that left the May gods either weakened, comatose, or dead. Since that time, borders, cultures, and religion has changed. While the gods who are alive are still worshiped heavily, many have sought out other powers to give themselves to, while others have deemed the gods no longer worth worshiping, and have ignored religion altogether.
Native Races: Humans, Elves, Minotaurs, Dwarves, Naga, Merfolk, Harpies, Demons, Spirits, Vitacea(sentient plants), Lithin(pseudo-golems) Native Planeswalkers: Jesit Nazeth Other Planeswalkers: Avus Dumat, Nidus Vane Non-Planeswalker Characters: Phoneta, Domoris, Zacheaus, Setasth*, Tesika*, Forast*, Juno*
*: These are characters that may or may not have a significant appearance in the plot, as I haven't written it out yet. If they don't, they will be removed from this list.
Tenric: A plane whose residents live underground, in a massive network of tunnels. In the darkness of the Underground, people need a light of hope. Five different cults all offer appealing options for the despairing citizen, with varying and overlapping roles in society, though no jobs are strictly assigned to any cult. These groups all exist in an uneasy peace, working together to work and dig their way back out into the True Light.
Native Races: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, (undetermined) Native Planeswalkers: Avus Dumat (currently on May), (not relevant to the story yet) Other Planeswalkers: (not relevant to the story yet) Non-Planeswalker Characters: The Five Lights(The Shine, The Faint Glow, The Burning Flow, The Torchlight, The Bright Sun)

Characters:Avus Dumat (): A spellsword from the all-underground plane of Tenric, Avus was a loyal member of a religion known as the Shine before planeswalking to a place that wasn't underground, and had natural light. Wanting to bathe in this light, Avus spent a long time travelling between planes before deciding that he should learn about what strengths lie in the True Light so that he can liberate his people into it. After finding May, and getting a large culture shock, Avus found a patron for his journey of self-improvement in the Archdemon Domoris. Shortly later, he met the planeswalker Jesit, and the two saw fit to help each other train and become stronger. Eventually, his use of Domoris' magic, and disrespect for the Church of Min earned him an infamy among the Inquisition, even catching the attention of Phoneta, the High Paladin of the Inquisition.
Physicality: Human, age 28, 6'2", Fair-skinned, Brown eyes, White Hair. Dresses practically.
Skills: From Tenric training: Inspirational magic, physical enhancement magic, a little bit of hieromancy, light-based attacks. From Domoris training: Weak Telepathy, Illusions/Shadow Control, The Black Eye(artifact that increases Avus' physical enhancement magic and mana efficiency) Appearances: Aspects of May
Jesit Nazeth (): Growing up in the magocracy of Motus on the plane of May, Jesit's potential was quickly realized by the upper nobles, and was offered a position as the apprentice of High Lord Zachaeus, who taught him as much as he could about magic, strategy, and the political life of Motus. After he almost died in a failed assassination attempt, his spark ignited, though he quickly found his way back to May to continue serving under Zachaeus. However, after meeting Avus and Nidus, and becoming wise to the true power he has, he's eager for an opportunity to be more than an apprentice.
Physicality: Naga, age 23, 11'6" long which roughly translates to 5'9" tall, green eyes, blue scales. Dresses ornately.
Skills: Telepathy, Divination, Counterspells, a little bit of control magic, weak non-elemental attacks.
Appearances: Aspects of May
Nidus Vane : Barely anything is known about this new noble from eastern May, except that he's rich and likes to spend it. After a campaign of welcoming feasts, festivals, and balls, Lord Vane was quickly accepted into the Motus Council, though Zachaeus has his suspicions.
Physicality: Azra/Tiefling, age unknown though looks mid-thirties, 6'0" not counting 7" horns, blue eyes, black hair. Dresses well.
Skills: Pyromancy, others unknown
Appearances: Aspects of May

Timeline:
-540 AR: The people of Tenric are sent underground, away from the True Light.
-500AR through -50AR: The Five Lights cults rise to power.
0 AR: The Antiquities War Begins(actual mtg canon event, for reference)
~1200AR: An unknown interplanar force enters and tries to attack May, without success. They are driven away, but with massive casualties on both sides, including over half of the May pantheon. Min is driven into a far-off land, Hinist is rendered comatose, and Voyna is significantly weakened.
1450AR: The Halidom of Vestia is established, uniting the cultures who worshipped Min heavily. Misdrawn borders result in many people abandoning eastern Vestia to be under Motus law. This barren land becomes home to many who turn to the demons for protection, with the lack of gods.
1780 AR: The Halidom of Vestia forms their Inquisition, who embark on a campaign to the east.
4035 AR: Anti-banishment sentiments arise within the Church of Min. The Vestian Inquisition attempts to purge these ideas, to little effect. Church Separatists begin their slow migration to northwestern Vestia.
4500 AR: Urza performs The Mending on Dominaria (canon event, for reference)
4498-4540 AR: The Church of Min separatists formally separate into the Ancestral Church, and northwest Vestians declare themselves the Republic of Zadar. This triggers a war as Vestia tries to get the Zadarians under control, while they receive support from both the Firan woodlands, who are tired of Vestian expansionism, and the Dovaski war tribes, who are tired of religious pressure from the Church of Min. Motus mobilizes forces to prepare for aid, though it is not used.
4538: Avus is born on Tenric.
4543: Jesit is born on May.
4551: Zachaeus takes Jesit on as his apprentice.
4561: The War of the Spark occurs on Ravnica (canon event, for reference)
4560: Avus arrives on May, and meets Domoris and Jesit.
4562: Nidus Vane arrives on May, and House Vane is noticed by the Motus Council. Nidus begins his rain of wealth and festivities upon the Motus nobility.
4565: House Vane is invited to join the Motus Council, Nidus accepts.
4566: The Events of Aspects of May begin

Story: Aspects of May: Part 1: The Man from Nowhere{Part 1: The Man from Nowhere (Jesit)}{} In any span of time, there is a beginning, and an end. Some beginnings are vaguer than others, but I think that this beginning was about as blatant as any one could be. This story began with a letter. This letter was delivered to me as I sat in my office in the Arcanum Hall, the political theater of Motus, and living quarters for Zachaeus Akharu and myself, Jesit Nazeth. The letter was not unusual at first glace. The parchment was weathered enough to know that it came from outside of the country, and it's seal was white wax, with the letters "NV". I was not expecting a letter from House Vane, let alone an invitation. My talon cut across the seal, and opened the letter. "To Jesit," it read, "I have an upcoming business proposition that I think you would find interesting. I would like to discuss it with you privately at my next masquerade event, which will be during the next full moon. I am aware that you do not usually attend such events, and have prepared plenty of spaces to be set aside for private matters. I do hope you'll be able to make it. Signed, Nidus Vane."
Its vagueness, if nothing else, had captured my interest. Besides, it would be rude not to attend when invited. The next morning, I had a carriage prepared to make the journey to Lord Vane's manor. He struck me as a strange person, especially since no one knew where he was from. Avus and I knew that he was like us, a planeswalker, as they called it. At the time, I was the only one who hadn't gone on a journey through the Multiverse. The others had seen the high spires of Ravnica, or the majesty of Amonkhet's deserts. I had heard about them from Avus, and about his plane. It seemed insane to me that such worlds might exist. And even though I was told of Avus' world, and that these conversations that had happened between the three of us, I knew next to nothing about Nidus' world. It was strange to know so little about someone so important. I was looking forward to the chance to learn more about the lord's experience planeswalking.
It was the night of the party that I had finally arrived.
The carriage stopped at the gatehouse, as a horned, purple-skinned guard stepped up to the front of the carriage. His armor was bright and reflective, for sure, but it seemed to be more for show than for practical use. "Name?" he called. His accent was thick, but I couldn't place it. Perhaps it was northern. "Magus Nazeth," answered the driver. The keeper looked down at the list he was carrying before nodding and checking off a name, "Go ahead." We pulled ahead, past an ornate stone fountain, a proper amount of hedging, and four statues of the same warrior who looked like he might have been Nidus' father. Upon reaching the entrance to the manor, the carriage came to rest, and the driver opened the door. I departed the carriage, walked up to the open doors, and gave a sigh before entering.
Inside was a party well under way. The lobby of the building was full of humans, naga, and azra, all wearing ornate, colorful masks. I recognized a few of them from previous events, though I was glad that they were engrossed in their own conversations (and cups) to notice me. The room was large, lit by an exquisite golden chandelier, and consisted of a wide, polished stone floor with open doorways to other rooms, with a grand staircase in the back of the room, with various wooden landings for more guests to stand and talk. On the left wall was an open section that connected to the bar. A tired looking human woman was tending it, and to a few men who seemed to drunk to know better than to go somewhere else. With a pass of my arm, they began to fall asleep. Disgusting. I ascended the stairs, hoping that the party's host would not be far.
The upstairs was not nearly as loud or busy as the lobby. A hallway at the top of the stairs held a number of doors, and a group of well-dressed guests. Their conversation hushed as I passed, going towards the door at the end of the hall. Though a standard wooden door, it had a faint blue glow that reeked of enchantments. I knocked, knowing that this room was the one that Nidus liked to conduct business in.
The door was opened by a minotaur, whose horns, while large, did not take up much space away from her head. Even with this, she was barely shorter than the door. Dressed in a suit, it seemed that she was part of Nidus' staff. She moved aside, revealing the room. It would've been mistaken for an office, if not for the lack of a desk. Large windows in the back had a view of the gardens below, and four smooth chairs with leather seats surrounded a coffee table. Two seats were empty, while in another sat a woman who seemed familiar, but between the mask and the dim lightning, I wasn't quite sure. Seated in the last chair was Nidus himself, a red-skinned azra wearing a loose green shirt under a black and gold embroidered vest, with matching black pants and shoes. "Ah, Jesit, glad you could join us. Please, come in," he called. The minotaur at the door stepped away, and I sat in an empty chair.
"I... thought this would be a more private event," I said softly. "Not the sort of thing that would be open to the public."
"Yes, well, ironic as it is, the more people here, the easier to hide this meeting. Ah, speaking of which, I assume you and Alicia have met?" He motioned to the woman. Her mask was white, adorned with blue and black feathers, and her dress was loose and modest.
"Lady Nisthan! Forgive me for not recognizing you. Though I did not realize you were the type to attend Lord Vane's parties."
"It's not a problem, Magus. And normally I don't, though I do make exceptions for the exceptionally powerful mages." Lady Nisthan glanced at Nidus, smirking.
"Oh please, all I've shown anyone here is parlor tricks. Either way, to the matter at hand. Magus Nazeth, I've heard rumors that you wish to be the head of House Akharu, replacing your master. Is this true?"
"Erm- I suppose. Though is it not true that anyone that does not rule their House would want to?" I asked, taken aback by the suggestion. I had been noticing more and more flaws in the High Lord lately, and it was starting to get on my nerves that he would make such errors, though it was hardly appropriate to discuss things like that in good company.
"Well I suppose that's true. I have been designing a plan, which our Lady Nisthan seems to approve of, that would see you as ruler of Motus. It would definitely require some effort on your part, and your strategic mind and resources afterwards. Does this sound as interesting as I hope it does?" He asked slyly. If these were things not to be discussed in good company, then I thought that perhaps Nidus was... the correct kind of poor company.
"...you have my attention."
We ended up talking late into the next several nights, plotting, scheming, whatever you'd like to call it. It was only when I returned to the Arcanum Hall three weeks later that I realized I had never asked Nidus about his home plane, but by that time I had bigger things to take care of. Things that would shape the history of May for centuries to come. And I could not wait to get started. Part 2: Running from the Light
