Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our four-hundred and forty-second challenge! The winner of the "The Power of Fanfiction" poll were Daij_Djan, pernicious and ZephyrPhantom (top to bottom) with...And the challenge issued by one of our winners was... Imagine yourself as a planeswalker and then design a creature card named "[Your username]'s [what the creature is]", in the same vein of cards such as Chandra's Magmutt, Jace's Phantasm and Liliana's Reaver. You may shorten your username or use another name altogether, if you prefer. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

I'm all about Gruul land and counters, so this seemed perfect.

Tweaked the original card name from 'Astral Archmage' to fit the challenge description. (Aperius is the name of my self-insert planeswalker OC)

sdfkjgh's Xenophobe Creature--Beast Split second When you cast this spell, exile all planeswalkers. sdfkjgh’s Xenophobe enters the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 counter on it for each planeswalker exiled this way. First strike, vigilance, trample, haste, hexproof sdfkjgh’s Xenophobe can’t be sacrificed. Planeswalkers can't entr the battlefield. If a planeswalker would enter the battlefield, exile it instead.* Remove a +1/+1 counter from sdfkjgh’s Xenophobe: sdfkjgh’s Xenophobe gains indestructible until end of turn. 4/4 So, I realized something a day or two ago: all that I hate about Magic is embodied in planeswalkers, or at least all the planeswalkers that players actually use. Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter & Arlinn, Voice of the Pack; you're cool, by which I mean you both suck, so get the hell outta here! Ellywick Tumblestrum? You're my tiny waifu, you're amazing, and you're a very specific, non-Control strategy, so you're cool. You're also not really used all that much, except by me, Post Malone (whose Brawl deck I copied and altered to suit my tastes), and a few other weirdos, so . Control has never needed and will never need the additional help of 'walkers in order to maintain is annoyingly omnipresent dominance. So what does R&D in its infinite wisdom do? They consistently and constantly make planeswalkers the go-to card type for Control strategies! Garruk Wildspeaker showed such promise for non-Control decks, but R&D turned their backs on the idea of 'walkers for ALL strategies almost immediately, and I ask you "WHY?!" Why does Control always get the most toys?! The worst part is, if an anti-Control card turns out to be good enough against any other strategy, Control players just start using it in their decks, and I'm fucking SICK OF IT!!! *EDIT thanks to BinaryBolas.

sdfkjgh "Planeswalkers can't enter the battlefield" on literal is actually impossible to achieve in Magic rule, since a permanent entering the battlefield means that the spell is cast and resolved, and is ready to hit the board. The common words on such affects are "If a planeswalker would enters the battlefield, exile it instead", "Whenever a player casts a planeswalker spell, counter that spell", "Players can't cast planeswalker spell", or any other abilities that prevent the spell being cast, prevent entering the battlefield any sort of replacement effect, or triggered counterspell ability. Take your pick.

Lady's Luck Creature Incanation When Lady's Luck enters the battlefield, target player gains control of it. When the controller of Lady's Unluck flips a coin, it is always a loss. When the controller of Lady's Unluck rolls a die, it is always the lowest possible result. 0/4
I am one of those people Lady Luck likes to play with, so at times it is incredible how unlucky I am. So it seemed fitting for my summon to be an incarnation of that.

This dude is essentially a physician under my employ. As for his abilities: - The first ability represents a patient dying under my creature's watch. At the very least I hope he learns from what happened to the patient (following a roasting during the morbidity/mortality conference, of course).
- The second ability represents my creature successfully resuscitating a patient that just coded, and gets appropriately paid for his services.
- The third ability represents my creature healing a patient, and again, getting paid appropriately.
Not the most exciting, and the second and third abilities seem a tad redundant, but it's the closest thing I can make to an underling flavor-wise.

I would've preferred to use "Acolyte of the Masked" as the name but I'll go with this to fit the challenge. That said, when in doubt... The Masked Man's Acolyte Artifact Creature - Human At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 1 life. Then, if you have 10 or less life, sacrifice ~ and create a 3/3 black Angel artifact creature token with flying. 1/1 "He speaks of a not of a future ruined by an endless war, but a present ruined by a slow decay. I intend to prepare for it."Inspiration partially taken from Guul Draz Vampire and Death's Shadow. I like stompy creatures with interesting conditions and Black was one of the colors of mana my old planeswalker OC used, so it seemed like a nice way to tie everything together.

A monster I actually made for a DnD game I'm running, but then it's actually someone else's tower it's defending than "melono's". Also, imgur is being a dum dum for me, so I can't copy a smaller image link. Fun. EDIT vizionarius - Thanks! That should make it less obnoxious

I feel if I was a planeswalker, I'd definitely be the type who's all about experimentation, learning and trying to find new and innovative ways to improve my power, skills and safety. But with a whole multiverse to explore, collecting this knowledge could not be done alone. Introducing the iterant, agents sent into worlds who actively attempt to mimic what they find to incorporate and improve it.

Creature -- Horror Illusion When Marshie’s Phantasm enters the battlefield, you may put a flying counter on it. You may do the same for hexproof, vigilance, menace, and first strike. Marshie’s Phantasm gets -1/-1 for each keyword counter on it. 4/4

I was tempted to make a tribrid but I settled for putting two keywords that don't belong together on a card. {Text}Sade’s Lampad Enchantment Creature - Nymph Bestow (If you cast this spell for its bestow cost, it's an Aura spell with enchant creature. It becomes a creature again if it's not attached to a creature.) When ~ dies, draw a card. Enchanted creature gets -6/-12 and has “When this creature dies, draw a card.” Auracycling ( , Discard this card: Search your library for an Aura card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.) -6/-12

If your intent was to have the controller of the Lampad draw the card, you should've just had "When Sade's Lampad is put into your graveyard from the battlefield, you draw a card." and kept the "Enchanted creature gets -6/-12." ability separate.

Flo00’s Dream Cat Creature - Elemental Cat Whenever you draw a card, until end of turn, Flo00’s Dream Cat gains your choice of hexproof, lifelink or vigilance. Whenever an opponent discard a card, until end of turn, Flo00’s Dream Cat gains your choice of flying, menace or trample. 3/3

Though I'm not fully satisfied with this picture, I post it once just to make sure to be in time. I want to adjust it if I have time. For I am an elder otaku before kawaii girls conquered manga and games, I have a complicated feeling on japanizing beam. I feel like to be robbed my ancestral lands so I can't say I like japanizing beam culture on the other hand I like kawaii. But I am basically ironical and cynic, so I sometimes cast a japanizing beam jokingly. {original image}To avoid to be unclear, adjusted contrast, saturation etc on the card.

It's a space pirate that cares about keyword counters and makes a Powerstone. This is QUITE self-indulgent of me lmao
Just to head it off at the pass, the reason it enters tapped is because I noticed all or almost all Powerstones in BRO enter tapped, so I decided to make the Marauder ETBT so that the stone can enter untapped.
