Euradi, Macabre Margrave A generic, a black, and a red Legendary Creature - Zombie Noble Creatures you control entering the battlefield from any graveyard gain haste until end of turn and are zombies in addition to their other types. (Creatures spells cast from graveyards and creature tokens created by cards in graveyards count as entering from a graveyard). Other zombies you control get +1/+1 and have first strike.
3/3
Pardon the pun, and excuse me if I double dip this design when for the CotW: legendary signpost. (Narrators note: he didnot enfact double dip. Enfact, he didn't post to CotW at all because he forgot.)

Thanks for the win. Second Job: Imagine not having a side-hussle on the side in this economy. Create a creature card with two class types. It can also have a race, but it's gotta have two classes.

And here the belated detailed judging for everyone who participated in the last challenge. Flo00 – Both abilites fit perfectly to a rat lord as having players discard cards and exiling stuff from graveyards is exactly what most rats do. The only thing that kept your card from winning was the fact that the second ability is – for my tastes – a bit too easy to break with cards like Tormod's Crypt or Relic of Progenitus. Nonagon Infinity – Well, a hydra bard noble must be one of the most impossible card designs to find art for. I like the card because it tells a clear story and plays well into the flavor of bards and hydras (It's supposed to be a hydra that grows heads by listening to music, right?). However, it is a bit bland considering that there are already a whole bunch of creatures that get +1/+1 counters when you gain life. So, it's a solid design but not particularly innovative. hydraheadhunter – I understand why you (planned to) post this card for the cotw challenge. It has great flavor and plays with the zombie trope in a new way without blowing complexity out of proportion. The only minor issue I have with the card is it granting first strike, as I feel that it's not only a bit too good but also wasn't really necessary as the is already represented by the haste granting ability.

It fits two challenges, so why not? Tian, the Rising Consort Creature - Spider Noble Advisor Nobility (Whenever this creature is targeted by a spell or ability, you may put a princess counter on it if it has less than three princess counters on it. Otherwise, draw a card.)When ~ enters the battlefield, you may tap any number of target creatures. Creatures don’t untap during their controllers’ untap steps. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, that player may untap target tapped creature. 2/2 "I have only one dream - to see the world move in order through my regnant claws."Noble - All the princess-related card advantage 'wealth'. Advisor - Manipulation of tapping and untapping.

{Judging} foureyesisafish | {Bulwark Baker}Bulwark Baker Five generic and a white Creature - Giant Soldier Citizen
Whenever Bulwark Baker enters the battlefield or attacks, create a food token. "Some of my old Legion mates said that Gideon himself complimented my battle skills. I don't buy it."
3/6
| {Spoiler}A relatively simple card, although a bit weak. The two class types are well represented on the card, but it feels like a giant chef would cook more than one food per turn.
| Nonagon Infinity | {Tempest Priest} | Tempest Priest Three generic, a red, and a white Artifact Creature - Construct Cleric Wizard
A red, a white, and discard a card: Tempest Priest deals three damage to any target and you gain three life. You may pay an additional two generic as you activate this ability. If you do, Tempest priest deals 4 damage and you gain 4 life instead.
3/5
|
| {Spoiler}This is a nice card in theory, but it's ability is a bit over encumbered. Something like: "Temple preist deals 3 damage to any target and you gain that much life. You may pay 2 generic as an additional cost to have Temple priest deal 4 damage instead."
This wouldn't do exactly the same thing, as the above wording whil more compact would make you gain additional life from outside damage boosts, but it does fit in fewer lines.
| Flo00 | {Insecure Marauder}Insecure Marauder A red Creature - Goblin Ally Coward
Whenever another Ally enters the battlefield, return Insecure Marauder to its owner’s hand. “What’s up with that guy? All over camp he says he’s looking for an adventureing party. And every time we approach him, he runs off screaming.” —Gunwy, weapons expert
2/1
| {Spoiler}Insecure Marauder is the perfect blend of cowards, who like to leave the battlefield, and allies who like to enter the battlefield. It's not as powerful as Norin in a vaccuum because you have to recast it, but you can actually attack with it.
The one hiccup I see design-wise you've made it trigger for all allies and not just allies you control. I'd also want to see it have haste.
| viriss | {Kardie, Night Saber} | Kardie, Night Saber Three generic, a blue, and a black Legendary creature- Ninja Pilot
Menace Whenever a creature enters the battlefield tapped and attacking under your control, draw a card. vehicle creatures you control get +1/+1 and have menace
FT: Wanna Race?
4/3
|
| {Spoiler}A pretty strong ninja commander, but doesn't really provide the kind of synergy I'd want from a vehicles commander. Sure, a blanket buff is nice, but I'm not sure how many I'd actually put in the deck.
I think for this card to really shine, it'd need some custom ninja vehicles or artifact shenanagainery.
| ameu | {Matriarch of Rustleaf} | Matriarch of Rustleaf Three generic, a green, and a white Legendary Creature -Dryad Sage
You and Matriarch of Rustleaf have hexproof. Other green and white creatures you control get +1/+1 and have Hexproof.
Tap: Add a green or a white.
FT: Rustleaf is nothing more than a dangerous illusion for outsiders and a true kingdom full of life for its folks.
1/4 |
| {Spoiler}I assume you meant Druid Sage because Dryad is a race type and otherwise your entry'd only have one class.
Alas I must consider what you submitted for consideration, and it doesn't meet the brief.
| Topaz542 | {Tholoud Metaljaw} | Tholoud Metaljaw Four generic, two red, and a white Legendary Creature - Dwarf Artificer Berserker
Haste, first strike Non-creature artifacts you control are 1/1 creatures in addition to their other types. Other artifact creatures you control get +3/+3 and have haste and first strike. Whenever one or more artifact creatures you control deals combat damage to a player, Tholoud Metaljaw deals 2 damage to any target.
FT: "Anythin's scrap metal if you hit it hard enough"
3/3 |
| {Spoiler}{Spoiler}This is the kind of an absolute game-ender I'd expect for ten mana (that is, I find it a bit under-costed).
The balance of the card's design is a little lopsided because abilities three and four are so strong, and ability five is lack luster by comparison; it's two extra damage a turn, and if your dropping this boy, I'm expecting there to only be one turn left in the game.
Your class types are playing nice though. An artificer who makes artifacts go berserk; maybe it could make the artifacts berserkers too, and then you'd have tribal shenanagains to play with in addition to artifact shenanagains.
| ameisenmeister | {Hired Cuttthroat} | Hired Cutthroat A black Creature - Human Assassin Mercenary When Hired Cutthroat enters the battlefield, tap it and choose target creature.
Tap and put hired cutthroat on the bottom of its owner's library: destroy the choosen creature.
1/2 |
| {Spoiler}All around good card, meshes the two mechanical identities of the classes nicely, killing and tutoring to kill again.
| ZephyrPhantom | {Tian, the Rising Consort}Tian, the Rising Consort Three Generic, A white, and a blue Creature - Spider Noble Advisor
Nobility (Whenever this creature is targeted by a spell or ability, you may put a princess counter on it if it has less than three princess counters on it. Otherwise, draw a card.) When ~ enters the battlefield, you may tap any number of target creatures. Creatures don’t untap during their controllers’ untap steps. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, that player may untap target tapped creature.
FT: "I have only one dream - to see the world move in order through my regnant claws."
2/2
| {Spoiler} It works as a card in isolation, although I don't quite remember how Nobility as an ability works together, but, I really hate prison, and when I say I really hate prison, what I mean is I despise the type of deck this card would be used in, because no fair deck is gonna pick up this card.
It fits the breif, but I just hate the idea of it existing.
|
{And the winner is....}I'm not sure if I can decide a winner between Flo00 and ameisenmeister : both your cards are perfect meshes of their classes. If y'all are up to try something unconventional, you could both name a creature type as each half of the next brief. If not, ameisenmeister can squeak out the win with a slightly more polished card. Y'all's call. I've gotta go deal with IRL.

hydraheadhunter If it is the only ally in your deck, it's actually a 2/1 for , so I thought I give it a slight disadvantage by also triggering off your opponent's allies. Congrats to ameisenmeister!

Woah, damn, I completely forgot about this challenge! Thanks for reminding me. Your next creature types are one from greek mythology (centaur, hydra, …) and one from norse mytholgy (giant, dwarf, boar, …). Have fun!

Oops, it got buried again...
Dreamvex Pheonix a generic, A black, and a a red. Creature - Nightmare Phoenix
Flying, Haste. Whenever an opponent discards a card, you may return Dreamvex Pheonix from the graveyard to your hand. Whenever Dreamvex Pheonix deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card and you may discard a card to draw a card.
2/3
Pheonixes are obviously greek, and the nightmare originates from the norse myth of the Mare.

Your next creature types are one from greek mythology (centaur, hydra, …) and one from norse mytholgy (giant, dwarf, boar, …). Have fun! Hoo boy, what a challenge! I was very tempted to make a God God or Giant Giant or Pegasus Pegasus just to goof off with the overlap between the two mythos... but then I got the phrase "draugr dryad" stuck in my head, so that's what I ended up making. In my head I pictured a draugr with a wooden shield carved from a dryad, with the enraged nymph's face in the middle, but I made do the best I could with the art I found.

Thunderhoof Valkyrie Creature - Centaur Angel Flying, trample When CARDNAME enters the battlefield, creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. 4/4
Magic angels aren't really a thing in greek myth as far as I'm aware. And a pegacentaur valkyrie is an entertaining concept to me

My first actual card, but this challenge thread seems interesting. Ruin Reveler Creature - Wolf Satyr Haste Whenever Ruin Reveler attacks, deal 2 damage to target creature. "There's no time to lose, the party's already started!" - Cintia2/2 Edit: added power/toughness

Finally, judgment has arrived!
I like the card's trigger that allows it to return from the graveyard. It tells a nice story and all in all is a cohesive package. However, although certainly not a modern day powerhouse, Blazing Specter is still a somewhat respectable card, and your card is just so much better in almost every way that I think it's too powerful.
The flavor (plus flavor text) is just great on this one and the effect is fitting for a mixture of a zombie and a dryad. The only minor issue I have is that the mana gained on being blocked is kind of a nonbo with the menace. But on the other hand, you get four mana when blocked, which is quite nice.
Powerful card for limited that makes a lot of flavor sense. Simple and solid.
Pretty powerful and probably too powerful in that. Dealing 1 damage on attacks would already be good but 2 is a bit much. This card would certainly dominate its limited environment. I like the idea of a wolf-satyr, though.
{And the winner is...} monkeychewtoy!
In the end, I had to decide between your entry and the one of gamma3. And although I think that gamma's is the more solid card overall, I want to reward the creativity you put into your dryad draugr. And the flavor is just too good.
Thanks everyone for participating!

Sure thing! I honestly forgot this thread existed, lol. Anyway, for your next challenge, give me a non-dragon iconic creature type (that's Angels, Sphinxes, Demons, and Hydras) that has an unusual class type for that creature. I understand this challenge is a bit vague/subjective, but avoid the obvious ones like Angel Soldier and Sphinx Wizard please. Creativity should be your main objective here - I'm going to try not to focus too much on power/balance considerations.

Briomash, Head Judge Legendary Creature - Hydra Advisor When Briomash, Head Judge enters the battlefield, discard any number of cards. Whenever you draw a card, put a +1/+1 counter on Briomash. Whenever you discard one or more cards, draw twice as many cards. This ability triggers only once each turn. 2/2
