Thanks for the win eshix! Next challenge: No existing Archon or Specter has a second creature type. So please make one that has! The second type can be anything you like, as long as it makes sense in some way.

Belief in the Dawn Two generic and two white Creature - Archon Uncommon
Flying, Lifelink. When Belief in the Dawn enters the battlefield, you may fetch a creature card or a card with miracle to the top of your library. (To a fetch, search your library for the specified type of card, reveal it, shuffle, then put that card in place.) (Melds with Despair for the Dusk)
Worse than a sun which does not rise. 3/4
Despair for the Dusk Four generic and two black. Creature - Spector Uncommon
Flying Deathtouch. When Despair for the Dusk is put into your graveyard from your library, you may pay two generic and a black. If you do, return it to the battlefield. At the beginning of combat on your turn, if you both own and control Belief in the Dawn and Despair for the Dusk, exile them, then meld them into Insanity of the Twinning Twilights.
Worse than a sun which does not set. 2/3
Insanity from the Twinning Twilights Creature - Eldrazi Archon Spector Uncommon
Flying, Lifelink, Deathtouch, Haste. Whenever Insanity of the Twinning Twilights enters the battlefield or attacks, target player discards a card. Whenever Insanity of the Twinning Twilights attacks or deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card. Whenever an opponent can't discard a card, return target card from your graveyard to your hand.
A sun broken apart betwixt horizons. 5/7

Dakmor Seducer Creature - Specter Cat Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, that player discards a card at random, then reveals their hand. You choose a creature or planeswalker card from it. If it has the same name as card in that player's graveyard, put it onto the battlefield under your control. Otherwise, that player discards that card. Decades after her demise, the servants of the Swamp Queen Tojira still roam Caliman, looking for victims to subjugate to the whims of a long-gone sorceress.4/3

OK, time to take a rather simple second creature type choice

Day of Judgment. {ameisenmeister}A very straight forward specter with a nice Amonkhet reviving ability. Nothing bad to say about this.
{hydraheadhunter}Very smart way of doing this challenge. Belief in the Dawn: I can see white feching a miracle. (Nice terminology by the way. I like it.) I can't really see it fetching any creature. White's creature searching is usually very restricted. Also I think this should be . And comparing it with creatures with similar stats it should also probably cost more. Despair for the Dusk: Strong card. And I think this is at the right cost. It lacks the classic discard or discard-ish ability every specter has. I would have liked to see a bit more connection between the two parts. For example Despair for the Dusk having miracle or at least having somehting to do with miracle, or Belief in the Dawn milling you cards somehow. (Ok, that would be strange for a white card in most cases, but I think you get the idea.) I see the connection that Belief in the Dawn can fetch Despair for the Dusk and then you mill it somehow. It just seems so indirect. And there is much more going on with the cards that doesn't connect them at all. Insanity from the Twinning Twilights: That's a lot of discards (up to three) per attack. I guess that much power is ok for having to meld two cards of different colors. Yet it also makes me certain that at least one of the parts should be . Aside from the lifelink I don't see much archon in there. {eshix}This seems quite strong. At first I overlooked the "at random" and tought this would be playing a kind of mini-game. It would probably almost never hit a card that you can take that way; yet I think it would still be strong enough.
{Daij_Djan}Ooh, commander cast counting, I like that. I'd really like to hear the story of that guy.

Big thanks for the win, glad you liked my entry Flo00
Almost missed this challenge's ending, so I don't really have a well thoughtout idea for a new one..
Guess I'll simply piggyback on my own card: Design an Elder XXX creature. You may however only use a Class creature type for XXX. Really interested in what you'll come up with considering all Elders so far indeed only feature a race type

| Venerable Pyromancer A Generic and Three Red Legendary Creature - Elder Shaman Mythic
You can't gain life. If a source you control would deal damage to an opponent or permanent your don't control, you lose that much life and it deals triple that damage to that player or permanent instead. FT: The shamans, long-lived in times of peace, burn through their life-light to extinguish the flames of war.

{Previous Entry}Coalition Gonfalon Trainer Three Generic and Two White Creature - Elder Flagbearer
While an opponent is choosing targets as part of casting a spell they control or activating an ability they control, for each flagbearer on the battlefield, they must choose it if able (If choosing fewer targets than there are flagbearers they can target, they choose their targets from among the flagbearers they can target).
2 generic, a white, and tap: target creature is a flagbearer in addition to its other types (This effect lasts indefinitely). 2/5

Angry Old Man Creature - Elder Townsfolk 2/2 "Kids these days and their fancy magic tomes..."//////Back in My Day... Sorcery - Adventure You gain 3 life and draw a card, then each opponent discards a card and ~ deals 2 damage to any target. Create a Treasure token. Tried to capture the idea of some grumpy retired adventurer who feels all the peacetime youths have it easy - back then, this person's life clearly was more colorful. I figured it would also be an opportunity to try doing 5 color at a lower rarity in an unusual way - if done right, it's a possible signpost payoff, but in the worst case it is still an extra bear. Compare the similarly placed Watchers of the Dead and Lesser Masticore. I tried to keep the adventure text as minimal as I could; this is why the Green aspect creates a Treasure token as its ramp since it is now okay for evergreen tokens to forgo reminder text. (Just adding felt more like a ritual and not very useful overall.)

I didn't feel comfortable designing a creature without a race type. Usually, the 1/1 Soldier tokens with no other type already annoy me high time. But then I remembered someone where the absence of a race type is meaningful and actually kind of cool. So here he is in his newest form:
And yes, I know that omniscient sounds more like drawing cards and omnipotent like casting stuff but this is an old mtg joke with Omniscience and I wanted to play into it.

I knew I was responsible for a contest..
Probably won't make it over the weekend and Monday is reserved for CotW stuff as usual - so last call for entries everyone, will take care of this on Tuesday!
EDIT: Obviously I'm one day late again - but it's not even my fault this time
Anyway, this challenge is now closed - please no further changes of entries!

As RL has continued to annoy me and kept me busy in various ways, I'll at least finally announce a winner to keep this contest moving. Will hopefully add a full judging to this post over the next few days!
{And the winner is..} ZephyrPhantom! This was such a clever design, seriously! Runner-up goes to viriss

Thanks for the win!
Your next challenge is to make a creature that is both a Lhurgoyf and another creature type. Since Lhurgoyf creatures tend to only have the type they're named after, I'm looking forward to seeing how this influences your designs!

I kind of couldn't decide for one creature type, so I did this. Kingoyf Creature - Lhurgoyf Shapeshifter As Kingoyf enters the battlefield, choose a creature type. Kingoyf is the chosen type in addition to its other types. Kingoyf’s power and toughness are each equal to 1 plus the number of cards in all graveyards it shares a creature type with. 1+*/1+* Worded in a way that it also works with tribal cards.

Did you really intend to write "enchantment cards" in the black and red modes or is that a copypaste typo? By the way a bit unusual to have before Apocavore Creature - Lhurgoyf Demon Necrotivore's power is equal to the number of cards in all graveyards, and its toughness is equal to that number plus 1. */1+* What's the card's name?
