Idea: While interesting, your design doesn't particularly feel either Trolly or Faerie-like at all. You could swap out the typeline with any two other creature types, and nothing would change. serraphim: While this does feel more like a teamup of a Troll and (one or more) Faeries, you made Bitterblossom even more broken, and that's a no-no. viriss: I can see why you changed your entry. That being said, both the new and the old suffer the same problem as Idea's entry: interesting, but doesn't feel like a Troll or a Faerie. Mirthdale Brute seems like it'd suffer the same fate as Savage Knuckleblade: initial hype quickly petering out due to better &/or more exciting cards in the same set. vizionarius: Now this is more like it! Traditionally, Trolls have had a way to protect themselves from dying, and I was hoping for more of you to pick up on that. As it is, only vizionarius did so, and because of that, and the fact that their entry actually feels like it's both a Faerie and a Troll, they won this one. I can easily picture a Troll wearing a pair of chintzy costume faerie wings, then ripping them off when the going gets tough.

a fair enough criticism sdfkjgh , however there are plenty of trolls that specifically care about +1/+1 counters. Charnel Troll , Harvester Troll, Trollbred Guardian... And fairies are also pretty prone to flicker effects I believe. You're right that it ends up maybe being a little too generic perhaps, but I just wanted to point out the design is rooted in existent commonalities of the design for each of the specified races.

Feedbackviriss: Mud elemental piggies! I like the flavor here, and liking the leonardo.ai art! Effect seems well costed. Reminds me of Coalhauler Swine. Idea: Feels very elemental-y, which is great! But it also feels like there is a lot on here for an uncommon. I think trample and menace with bloodrush would be enough for it. Dash feels alright, but dashing it when you have an attacker will have some issues with timing. You'd have to specifically say it enters attacking, and to only cast it during the declare attackers step. If you play it later, it will not be able to be blocked (or possibly even deal damage if cast during end of combat step). Not sure if you meant it to just be castable as a dude on the board for the turn, but not attacking (for ETB triggers?). Feels like two designs merged into one. serraphim: Interesting three effects; they are a little loosely tied in my opinion, but they are not too disjointed. I like the interaction of evoke with fight to work like a green sorcery "deal 3 damage to target creature." Feels well-costed for the effects.
ResultWinner is viriss, who has what I think the cleanest design that could see print as is.

vizionarius No worries if you're not seeing the intended application because it was my mistake. I intended to make it something for the boar to also attack alongside it, either by being cast or by adding to the creature with a discard. Guess the design didn't quite end up playing as intended....

I'd be very disappointed if you didn't come back with more bunny-themed things than the number of Tribbles it took to bring about the complete downfall of the entire Klingon Empire. And this is prolly the tamest sex joke I've ever made on these fora. I'monna be up North visiting my sister and niece for little Katrina's 1st birthday, so I gotta make up for missing this week's #ShitpostingOnTheSevens somehow. |

sdfkjgh I like the flash rabbit. Not sure what difference "sliver permanents" is to "sliver creatures" for haste. =) But even at mythic "2: counter anything that even looks at me or mine" is a lot. Idea Trigger shutdown is newer design terratory for me, at this level anyway. Reminds me of anime when a powerful character enters the room and no one noticies. Bouncearama I really like the spirit aspect you've captured here. Nothing more to say. =) melono Jackalope! OMG the other one sucks. This one is way better. Ohhh... four of these all attacking as 6/5's! the_unfinity_kid I kinda wonder if it didn't need to lose the copy ability? At rare you can push a little. But maybe exponential is too much. Great weird! vizionarius Warlock! two mana and two life seems balanced to me. But mythic makes me want just a little more power! Winner, Bouncearama , it doesn't fit my current deck but it makes me want to build a new one!

 We've seen the phyrexian infection spread psychically before with Lukka and potentially others I'm not recalling right now. Given the mental link of the kithkin, stacking a bunch of kithkin into one "perfect" influence over them all seems like the kind of strategy that would be up phyrexia's ally. |
