Legendary Creature — Dinosaur Wizard
Haste Enrage — Whenever this creature is dealt damage, untap it. Whenever a green dinosaur is enraged, untap upto one target land. Whenever a blue dinosaur is enraged, scry 1. I don't think it's a common: I just don't fuck with rarity unless I gotta for in the context of a set or something. If it makes you happy, imagine its the boxart mythic for a Temur dinos commander deck. I specifically want it to work only for dinosaurs with Enrage abilities (and yes it's colors don't play nice with established canon to that effect since enrage dinos were green-red-white and this is is green-red-blue, so it'd need to be part of a temur ange dinos if you wanted to scry regularly). Yeah, it doesn't work within the current rules, but it grocks well enough which is what I opin as important. If I wanted to avoid the keyword, I'd need to do "Whenever a dinosaur's ability is triggered by being dealt damage." and that's just too cumbersome to do three times or I could go with a single ability that says " When a dinosaur's ability is triggered by it being dealt damage, if it's green foo, if it's blue fee, and if it's red fum." But then I have a single trigger on the stack for multicolored dinos instead of three discreet triggers which is what I want for flexability. The compromise here is to just let "become enraged" be unofficious shorthand for "one or more of its abilities are triggered by being dealt damage" on the card and let the oracle text read the rules proper.
And you've missed the possibility of The Fascinarex dealing one damage to itself, being enraged and getting its other triggers, a land untap, untapping itself, and a scry which are green, generic, and blue respectively; so while the ping is of itself a red ability and overcosted, it's presented in a red-green-blue context where you can get about the right amount of value. A dawn's reflection and a rite of passage is already all you need to pop off with infinite value by unlimited scrys and a BIG/BIG dino, it literally can't be made cheaper considering that.

Judging time! viriss Solid card that's fast in all mechanical regards. A Spinosaur isn't really known for its speed though. sdfkjgh Cool card that makes use of a mechanic from Ixalan to come up with a sort of mini-Titan. I like how it – unless countered of course – always nets you some card advantage or is an above-curve threat. gluestick248 A bit complicated but it serves the flavor: A dinosaur dying gives you a fossil (which is probably not what is usually meant by living fossil). In a Dinosaur tribal deck this can kind of double the number of dinosaur spells you cast although in itself its probably too weak to play and is better just kept in hand to be discarded. hydraheadhunter Well... Viridian Longbow does exist. Aside from that, I enjoy the idea not only of a friendly looking dinosaur, but also one that has as one of its colors. I think the activated ability isn't really necessary because it will just boil down to : Do all the stuff. which kind of takes out the fun of brewing around the card. sorsal I appreciate the idea of a dinosaur that's outside of the usual dinosaur colors but the card looks quite weak to me. Compare it to Crosstown Courier which just has one less toughness but is only half the mana value and requires less color investment. Grapple X Seeing the second Spinosaur card here that implies the dinosaur's speed makes me reevaluate my knowledge about dinosaurs. Nevertheless, the card is cool and also pretty strong. Attacking into a 3-power first striker is nothing you'd want to be doing. Nonagon Infinity I dig the reference to Elder Gargaroth which is a notoriously overstatted creature. This card is a sweet knock off of the Gargaroth without being as blatantly powerful. Having dinosaur cyborgs is a nice idee, too. {And the winner is...}sdfkjgh with their simple and flavorful design of a wandering Sauropode! Congrats! Thanks everyone for participating!

Thanks for the win.
I'ma do something weird again. Design 3-5 cards that each share a class type that Magic doesn't have yet, but you think it should. I wanna see a unity of vision/design for this new class type that shows what you think should be a/the defining characteristic(s) of that new type. If you feel that the strength of your designs precludes the need for an explanatory blurb, that's fine, but know that if I feel I have to ask you for one before final judging, that will be held against your final score. Providing a blurb without my asking will not be held against you, and might even contribute some extra points, depending on how much additional clarity it may provide. Be warned, though: if all the clarity is in the blurb, and none in the designs, that will definitely be held against you.
I hope you all understand me.
Let's see what you've all got.

sdfkjgh Just to clarify, I assume you're talking about "class type" as in the race/class division? So "wizard" or "artificer," not "human" or "elf"?

Since it seems like I have a day or two, I'll call dibs on Paladins.
Paladins are basically knights + clerics combined. I wanted paladins to care about protection and lifegain while being more combat focussed than clerics would be. Also depending on the set I could see some minor angel and/or god synergies. They'd obviously mostly exist in white.
One specific note (in case you're wondering): Dutiful Paladin is designed to mirror Scorch Spitter. I neither mind it being rather on the weak side nor it not getting buffed by the Cavalier

Judging!
Jartis: I like the idea of making Jesters combat-oriented tricksters, and look forward to seeing what you'd do with The Joker. I'm a little puzzled by the additional new subtype of Undead, as that seems more fitting for a batching category that includes Zombies, Vampires, Spirits, Werewolves, Graveborn, Shades, and Skeletons.
Jester of Pointed Words: You've fixed for flanking, which is nice.
Trinket Taker: Anti-proliferate is mean, but at , I worry that there won't be enough of a critical mass in Limited to have it matter all that much.
Void Trickster: Again, for a , putting a single -1/-1 counter, or removing a single loyalty counter, feels a little weak. Two counters would be much more appropriate for the rarity, or mebbe you could keep the floor at one counter, but add the utility of exerting in order to increase it to two.
Master Jester: This is just mean. Most of the time, though, nobody's gonna block it, as the rewards for you if it's blocked are too great unless blocking keeps them alive another turn. Would've been better if it had "~ must be blocked if able."
Daij_Djan: Paladin seems like a type that WotC is closest to making official. They certainly use the word often enough.
Enlightened Slayer: Now THIS is a rare! Card like this, if they don't have a Wrath, game's over.
Colorful Cavalier: Simple, effective, screams "Mass lifelink".
Protector of the Realms: Kinda reminds me of Favored Hoplite. However, there's a potential bit of rules confusion during combat with a lifelink creature that doesn't have first strike. Would the Protector be saved from damage or not? Also, it feels a little weird calling it a Protector when it needs a first striking lifelinker in order to protect itself.
Dutiful Paladin: Reverse Scorch Spitter is good.
Holy Blade: Pretty stronk for a . Nice to know you're willing to push your s a little.
Nice work, both of you, but Daij_Djan's entries were a bit stronger on the design front. I still wanna see what else can be done with Jesters (especially since I've designed one or two myself), because there's a kernel of an idea there, it just needs a bit more fleshing out.
Congrats to the winner, Daij_Djan. Mebbe next time, we can get more entries.

Also, it feels a little weird calling it a Protector when it needs a first striking lifelinker in order to protect itself. Or use the Dutiful Paladin You're not wrong though.
Congratz to the win!
For your next challenge, I want you all to pick any existing creature type which does not have a tribal commander yet. And since I know "tribal commander" leaves a lot of room for interpretation, let's say the creature type of your choice must appear in the commander's text box (the commander does however not have to share the type himself - think of a necromancer supporting Zombies, f.e.).
Your challenge then will be: Design a tribal commander for your chosen type (who would have guessed? ) and then design 1-4 cards of that tribe that would go into the deck.
Have fun, everybody!

Creature types which I wanted to do but checked and they already have something resembling a tribal leader: egg, bird, nightmare, thrull, phoenix, rat.
Landed on Rabbit. Cards coming soon™. Xiao Wu, Divine Rabbit A red, a green, and a white
Legendary Creature — Rabbit Shaman
Spirit Ring — Whenever another animal creature dies, if Xiao Wu has exiled fewer than nine creature cards, you may exile that creature. Xiao Wu has the abilities of cards exiled this way for as long as they remain exiled.
2/2
| Gambolling Jackalope 2 generic and a green
Creature — Mutant Rabbit
Whenever you cast a spell, you may create a token copy of Gambolling Jackalope. If you do, return Gambolling Jackalope to your hand.
1/2
| Pyrewisp A generic and a red
Creature — Elemental Rabbit
If a source you control would deal damage you may pay 2 generic to have it deal 1 less damage and create a token copy of Pyrewisp instead.
1/1
| Bevy Spirit A generic and a white
Creature — Rabbit Spirit
If a source you control would cause you to gain life, you may pay 2 generic to gain 1 less life and create a token copy of Bevy Spirit instead.
1/1
| Thicket-Lost Rabbit Two generic, a green, and a white
Creature — Rabbit
If Thicket-Lost Rabbit would leave the battlefield without dying, you may have it phase out instead. As permanents phase in, they trigger the abilities of permanents you control as if they’d just entered the battlefield.

And there we go, a rabbit tribal commander. She's not technically a strictly rabbit tribal commander; but, since there's not enough tech to build a rabbit tribal commander deck proper, I think it's fine to go for a slightly looser theming because of that. In case I'm to deep into the weeb weeds that no one else'll catch it, she is based on a character from a Manhua of medium quality and popularity (it's popular enough to get a donghua and a live action adaptation neither of which I watched, shrugs). I would include renders, but I've only been able to find the name of the author and not the illustrator(s), which might be owed to my peasant status as a monolingual.
And yeah, "animal's" not a technical magic term, but I linked to what I mean.

Golgosh, the Many-Armed Legendary Creature - Kraken Whenever an Octopus or Kraken you control becomes untapped, you may pay . If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on Golgosh, the Many-Armed and create a 1/1 blue Tentacle creature token. Tap two untapped Tentacles you control: Tap target permanent. 4/4 Grabber Creature - Tentacle Inspired — Whenever Grabber becomes untapped, you may tap target creature. 1/1 Breaker Creature - Tentacle Inspired — Whenever Breaker becomes untapped, put a +1/+1 counter on target Tentacle you control. 1/1 Snatcher Creature - Tentacle Inspired — Whenever Snatcher becomes untapped, gain control of up to one target creature with converted mana cost X or less, where X is equal to your devotion to blue. For as long as you control that creature, it gains “Discard a card: This creature’s owner gains control of it. Any player may activate this ability.” 1/1 And to reuse an entry on the previous page: Tentacle Island Land Creature - Tentace Island (As long as this is a land, it has ": Add .")Tentacle Island isn’t a land unless there is another tapped creature on the battlefield. Tentacle Island isn’t a creature unless you control a Kraken or Octopus. I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going.2/2

So, with two out of three contests I've been responsible fro done, this last one remains. With six entries, each consisting of several cards, I definitely need a day or two to look through everything even if I were to just announce a winner (let alone write a full judging) - so please have some last patience everyone, I'll (finally) get this one done over the weekend
EDIT: Well, as usual I'm a day later than planned, but oh well (could have been worse )
For time reasons I won't write a full judging, if you want some feedback feel free to PM me and I'll respond as soon as I find some time. Really liked quite a few of these, but in the end I just had to give it to viriss' monks!
