1/1 // Unusual Sight Instant - Adventure Create three 1/1 white Faerie creature tokens with flying. Exile them at the beginning of the next end step. (Then exile this card. You may cast the creature later from exile.) The faeries follow the trail into a grim dark forest. They feel observed by many eyes. When any of them stops to inspect the surroudings... well, it's a dangerous place. A monstruos animal, covered in that thick black goo, emerges from the shadows. Whithout any delay it attacks the poor faeries, trying to eat any that is in range.

A lone...thing flies through the air, carrying the scent of someone not from this world. It seems to be scouting, but for who? And for what purpose? If The Thing were curious enough, following it back to it's master might prove fruitful.... {Attack? Card - Chalkskin Gargoyle} The thing "sees" the flying gargoyle, through the eyes of its new host, a big, black hound (well, it's black now). The stangest thing, is that nothing feels magical, but she could swear that that clearing wasn't there before. In the middle of the glade a tree stands among its decaying kin. This majestic oak, twenty metres tall, shows no trace of blight or disease. It looks pure, almost out of place. Lying down on the roots, Lettie finds the girl. She has no heartbeat, but in her face can be seen the widest of smiles. Lettie senses a movement behid her. The Thing stands there, a pillar of black goo. But it doesn't attack Lettie. It just stands there, and carefully approaches her. It tries to take humanoid form, but it's clearly lacking a host. mrlozano The gargoyle failed to notice the beast that was following it, flapping across the sky for an unknown purpose. An hour passed before it finally found somewhere to perch, a crumbling monolith at the top of a slightly yellowed grass hill. Appearing from behind the monolith, relative to the thing, appeared what seemed to be the thing's master...or summoner, whose gaze was set to the creature on top of the stone relic. They seemed young, but was definitely growing into adulthood, and red locks made her easy to see from a distance. "Find anything Daanstein?" She asked her creature, the thing shaking it's head no as it crawled down to the ground. It seemed the servant had led back to the master after all. {Response Card - Moonmist Protector} Mouth from Beyond: Neat idea, though weird it cares about stuff you have in exile and its second effect doesn't feed it, but that would likely be too powerful. 8/10

"I won't deprive you of credit for your effort. At the very least, you seem to understand what I say." Lettie glances back at the girl. "There's no such thing as graceful death, but it seems she came close to it." She has a horrible idea, and she slowly takes up a vial from her belt. "I'm not going to attack you. I'm not one to assume that those who can't speak have nothing to say. What I have here is poison. I'm going to take an amount that will cause me great pain, but won't kill me. Then, I'm going to let us be one being, for a short while, before the poison sets in. I can't stay with you, and I assure you, it won't be just the poison that hurts both of us if you overstay your welcome. Nonetheless, we might be able to speak that way." She unstops the vial, dilutes it with some water, pours out a measured amount into another vial, then holds that one to her lips. She braces herself, and drinks it, before hurriedly holding out a hand.
//If The Thing doesn't immediately take her up on the offer, her hand will begin shaking from the pain following a delay.Bloody Skeins Sorcery Each player draws two cards and loses 2 life, then each opponent discards two cards. The Thing, Uncorrupted — No direct transfer of P/T, which is a bit unusual, but it's cool that The Thing keeps growing even while bonded. I think it's definitely powerful, and appropriately so, since equipped creatures aren't immediately caught up. 10/10 //Oh, and one more thing. The Thing probably hasn't bonded with someone like Lettie before, so try to be light on assumptions if it chooses to do so, please.

Strixhaven College, first day of the semesterA small cat with a big hat walks through the gates of the College. He wears a tunic in Quandrix and carries a sketchbook and some brushes. By his side walks a big black cat, without a hat, but with an oversized longsword sheathed in his back. The small cat looks excited, while the big one is way less amused. “I’m really looking forward to this year, brother!” “Yeah, I can tell that, Michi. On the other paw, I’m not. If I have to spend one meonth, lions forbid six, surrounded by these nerds, I’m going to go meowd.” He notices that Michi’s hat is almost falling from his head, and carefully fixes it in place. He also tidies his brother’s uniform. “Looking sharp, little brother!” Michi waves at a group of students across the courtyard. “That owlin in the Prismari suit looks really tasty…” “Brother! What have I told you about trying to eat meow friends!” Doer feels scolded by the smaller cat. ”It was just a joke!” I'm a little big hungry, tho. “So, if you are not going to stay, what are you going to do? Do you want meow to take you to any plane?” Doer looks back to where they came from, the aetheric disruption in the point Michi planeswalked to still bright and easy to traverse. “I think I’m going to go back to the Arena for a while.” Something feels off after fighting those creatures from across the rift… “Meownd checking on meow on a few weeks?” “Sure thing, I’ll pass by before the first exams start.” The cats are now close to the other groups of students, and Doer can help but feel out of place, surrounded by academics. He’s always been the tavern brawler type, not one for rhetoric combats of artful displays of sorcery. Sure, he can spit a sick burn and blow stuff up, but these people are professionals. He puts a paw on Michi’s shoulder. “You know what to do brother. Go kick those equations in the ass!” Michi laughs and waves to Doer as he leaves, turning to greet his friends. Doer can hear the owlin asking Michi why he didn’t choose her same college, but when the answer comes, he is too far to understand it. When he reaches the point where they entered the plane, he unsheathes the Weapon, and cuts again through the space between planes that some people call “The Blind Eternities”. He prefers to call them “the place where I chop the the tentacle stuff”. A breach opens in the air, and he crosses. The monsters on the other side are nothing new but travelling towards a plane where his brother isn’t is always more difficult. For a brief moment, spectators both in Strixhaven and the Arena can hear a faint “MEOW YOU; YOU MEOWING MEOWSTARD” until the shouting is replaced by the sound of mashed limbs and eldritch screams of agony. No Eldrazi can beat him. I’m the greatest hunter of the Meowtiverse after all!
Doer the Cat is back on the Arena!

It had heard of a hunter that prowled upon these parts. Small, yes, but deadly indeed, or so the rumors from the frightened man went. They were always frightened. It was hard to have a conversation. Then again, the ghost spoke far more freely than the living man. Clues to finding that place Soumaw sought were unlikely to be in this place, but a worthy soul was something it would drool for if only it could drool at all. He placed a shadowy hand upon a stone wall, seeing the smoke beginning to emerge from the cracks, followed by the limbs and the faces of the fading ghosts that made up said mist. A preparatory move to drain away potential defenders of Soumaw's prey.

Soumaw attacks! I have not heard any rumeowrs about this creature, but I know how to recognize the clues of a fellow predator. I've seen the drained corpses, near places I have been. This is a dangeorous beast without doubt. It's a relieves meow to know that Michi is not here. Doer moves silently among the ruins, the Weapon drawn, now transformed into an unlit torch. A different mist emanates from one of the cat's pocket, a drawing of a cold foggy winter morning with a green field covered in a layer of frost burning inside. I'm no adept in meowgic, but I can use meow brother's prepared spells. A true hunter meowst always be prepared. The cat sneaks behind a stone wall, which starts to exhude a ghostly mist. He waits a second. Now, before I lose the surprise factor. In the blink of an eye, the Weapon turns into an enormous battlehammer, bringing the wall down on the monster. The cat jumps seconds after, now wielding a halberd. Straight for the head. I have to bet on the meownster not being able to react. "The predator becomes prey meowstard!"
Prepared Hunter Creature - Cat Hunter ~ enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. Remove a counter from ~: Exile the top two cards of your library. You may play one of those cards this turn. 2/2
Gheistfog: The idea is neat, but this should really not be common, specially at two cmc. Getting two of these out in a Limited game is definitely not fun. I really think it should be a rare and probably cost 3 or 4 mana. 6/10

Soumaw's presence was without question given away. Having surrounded itself with mists, a surprise attack was something it expected. Just not through the wall. Rocks burst from behind the shadowy planeswalker, its grunts of surprise sounding like wind blowing and rippling through smoke. It was only as it stumbled forward that it noticed the bits of frost that accumulated on the floor, as Soumaw itself was unable to feel the cold. Was this perhaps why the mists failed to weaken the prey? Well, it was useful to learn as well. As it recovered, it turned only to see it's head sliced partway through with a weapon that seemed to large for the wielder and too small for the standard. It was a pointless endeavor nonetheless though, Soumaw's face closing back what little gap was formed. What else but that would be the result of slicing through mist? Though the sudden rocks earlier did indeed make it loose its balance.

I think the impulse drawing generally does a good job imposing some limiters, especially if you can't just cast without paying, though personally I still feel I would put some kind of further limiter just to keep it from potentially abusing a ton of impulse draw at once with no cost in of itself. 9/10 Edit: I guess this is gifting rather than attacking this time?

I like meow preys' wounds to stay open, an my dead foes to stay dead. This beast looks like it won't fulfill any of the two. I reevaluate my options. If the Weapon doesn't harm it, I need a new plan. The big axe turns into a pair of daggers, and the cat throws one of them towards the beast's head. If the monster tries to remove it, it will just dissapear in a puff of smoke, but the wounds it causes are very real. The cat runs to the ruins. The first step is meowking it lose the trail. It won't be easy. This is no ordinary animal. It seems to have a mind of its own, after all, I'm pretty difficult to track. Doer takes cover, hoping to get enough time to fish for something that can help. He has not many scrolls on him, and burning his brother's drawings is not something the cat enjoys. I don't think cheap tricks are going to help. The cat grins. Then I'll have to restort to meow favourite pasttime... unbridled violence!!
Grisly Stride Sorcery Target creature you control gets +2/+0 until end of turn. Put a lifelink counter on it. When that creature dies this turn, return another target creature that was put into a graveyard this turn from that graveyard to the battlefield under your control.
Element of Surprise: The wording on the first ability should be "discard a creature card". Other than that, a serviceable removal spell. 8/10

A knife flew towards Soumaw, cutting through an eye and the top of the head as it made an attempt to dodge. Truthfully speaking it had no need to, indeed the gap was once again sealed in moments, yet it was still a reflex it now possessed. Perhaps in time, it would eat a soul that could help to reign in such unnecessary things. The small one was pretty fast, however, and already making its escape. Whether it meant to get away entirely or get something more useful, it could be problematic. It occurred then to Soumaw that assessing more about the prey, and how it thought, could be beneficial. It nodded to the spirit that suggested it, though this one was more ephemeral, like a mere voice ringing in its mind. Mind... Yes, that would do. Understanding by how to by instinct, Soumaw had the mists around its arms begin to swirl in glowing azure light, seeming to gather before shooting out in the direction of the feline. Should it succeed, it would quickly shuffle through some of their thoughts and memories, pulling them to Soumaw's 'mouth'.
And we're back to attacking. To be honest I can't say I very much like that last card. It has a bit too much going for it, I feel. Life-gain, either killing something tougher or dealing extra damage, cheating out something strong (that last effect is particularly worrying), and cheap to boot with only two although colored mana. It is true that the card is a sorcery which gives the opponent more room to play around it and keeps the card from being a trick, but I do think I wouldn't put that assortment of effects on so little mana. 5/10

Aaaaaaaaaah, so indeed, the cat sought escape. And those cries it shouted were intended to be insulting. How tiresome. In the end Soumaw's prey always went back to insults. Yet, there was also something... satisfying about it. Fate would not be escaped, not even Soumaw could, nor the djinn who created it. These insults were like the whimper of cattle before the slaugher, a resignation to their fate. Thanks to these thoughts, as the feline came screaming and swinging their weapon, something of a grin formed in Soumaw's 'face'. Its body seemed to bubble and expand, and smoke-like versions of the heads of various animals seemed to emerge from it for a few moments before fading back in, as Soumaw's body contorted into sharper and more animalistic shapes. Ignoring as best it could the weapon it knew to be harmless, Soumaw clawed at its prey with newly formed claws. The souls of predators longed to hunt once more.

As for your card it's simple, professional-looking and makes an interesting response to Mindgrasp. The 3 colorless seems a bit expensive, but then the effect is strong so maybe not. Either way, it's a really appealing card. Take the 10/10. You deserve it.

Blood splattered as it was ripped from the cat's wounds but only holds on the claws for moments before it fell through the smoke and onto the ground around near them. Foolishly, the feline once again attempted to stab through Soumaw's misty body. But then, another plan entirely sprung to mind. Perhaps the foolish one was Soumaw, who presumed the cat would be unable to simply wield raw magic, such as the flame that burst forth from the flame once it was within Soumaw's body. It screeched, a sharp high-pitched sound of wind being squeezed together and echoing spirits, as fire spread inside and burst out like flames within ash. Soumaw stepped back to recompose. Though this pain it could actually feel, it was hardly the first time someone attempted to burn it. Nor would it be the first time it would fail to put it down. With a thought, Soumaw directed spirits into the flames, their hue beginning to change from the prior red into a turquoise with a hint of deep violet. Flames gathered onto Soumaw's hands and then it projected a torrent of them towards the cat. Screams could be faintly heard from the fire, which took on skeletal shapes if one were to squint. Where it burnt the ground, even small rocks seemed to become more brittle, decreptit.

Yeah it's really strong but an expensive (relatively) mythic rare ought to be. Just picturing playing card is a really exciting notion, a turn that swingy and which can shut down a lot of strategies, but also needs a fair bit of build up. I thought I'd have complaints, but no, nothing really comes to mind. So great work once again 10 / 10

When the fire clears, Doer still stands, his fur charred and covered in ash. "A tough meowstard you are..." I'm running out of tricks. The best idea would be to escape. Blood still covers the floor, and if Sowmaw can magically locate Doer, it would know that the cat has reappeared a few miles away, and is making his way to the nearest villaged. His intentions? No way to know. So, the creature evaded, even if just barely. Soumaw began to gather a cloud of smoke for its next spell, but the cat struck into the nearby structure, damaging to the point of falling apart. The broken stone cleaved through Soumaw's boy, dispersing it into a a gust. It was still reforming when the cat snuck away through its portal, which Soumaw only caught a faint glimpse of before it vanishes. It looked around, readying claws for a potential attack from blind spot, but none came. It had previously thought enemies who could teleport short distances and used that to attack and evade, but it appeared as though that wasn't the case. The prey this time was like Soumaw: One able to move between planes. There was a chance it already escaped onto another plane entirely. But then, none who could travel between planes would be in a place like this one unless they had something they sought in it. Would Soumaw's prey abandon their own objective so easily? Gaps opened all over Soumaw's body, from which long spirits poured out. Slamming its hands onto the ground, it commanded them to chase after its prey, to search the nearby area and then share their findings. If they managed to find the prey, Soumaw would come for them. If not, it would not pursue. Were it fated to be hunted by Soumaw, they would cross paths again, one way or another.
Scarred Sneak " style="max-width:100%;"]" style="max-width:100%;"] " style="max-width:100%;"] Creature - Cat Rogue Whenever one or more -1/-1 counter are put on a creature you control for the first time each turn, draw a card. , put a -1/-1 counter on another target creature you control: ~ gains indestructible until end of turn. I'm sorry friend, but that arrow has your name, not mine.3/1 Malflame: I know this is in color for monoblack, and I like the idea of dealing damage to player and putting -1/-1 counters on creatures but the card feels black red. I dunno. 7/10 I like the balancing, and though the trigger feels a little weird and indestructible is a strong ability, Wizards themselves often plays pretty loose with it, so eh. Plus this card would theoretically go into a format where -1 / -1 counters are thrown around, one of indestructible's weaknesses. I can really see this card fitting into a Persist deck, which sounds fun. I'll give it an 8/10 (attacking, just to be clear)
