Been browsing though some Peter Mohrbacher pictures... Calius, Shattered Heavens Legendary Creature - Eldrazi Calius, Shattered Heavens has protection from the most common color or colors among face-up cards in exile. If a player would draw a card, instead they exile a card from their hand at random with a hollow counter on it, then they draw two cards. You may cast nonland cards from among the cards in exile with hollow counters on them and you may spend as if it were any color to cast them. 7/7 Estibus, Fate Ascended Legendary Artifact Creature - God You may look at the top three cards of your library and you may rearrange them at any time. If Estibus, Fate Ascended would leave the battlefield, instead exile it and the top two cards of your library face down, shuffle those cards, then put them on top of your library. 2/5

Having read MaRo's "Deciduous"-article, I decided to make a card that uses as many of those mechanics as possible. THis is what I came up with: Duskmine Cart Artifact - Vehicle Prowess, protection from artifacts Crew 2 Cycling When you cycle Duskmine Cart, create two Treasure tokens. 2/2 --------------- Lost Duskmine Expedition Enchantment - Aura Curse Saga Enchant player When Lost Duskmine Expedition enters the battlefield, draw a crad. I - Enchanted player chooses fear or anger. II, III - • Fear — Enchanted player returns a creature they control to its owner’s hand. • Anger — Each creature enchanted player controls deals 1 damage to them. I only did one of the four named tokens. The only other thing this is missing is split cards. Which is - let's be honest - just a different way of making DFCs. Unless you make a split DFC of course...

I was just counting the masses of Exotic Orchards I have lying around and thought I have a very exotic orchard... Wait, what would a card with that name do?Very Exotic Orchard Land : Add one mana of any color no other land on the battlefield can produce. Don't ask me how this would interact with Exotic Orchard. I thought about it very hard and all I ended up with was paradoxes. In the end it probably comes down to timestamps or something weird like that.

So, I just played the Midweek Magic Brawl event, and good god, does Jodah need moar removal! So, I set out to fix that: Lloresz the Fixer ::CW:: Legendary Creature--Cat Advisor Assassin Flash This spell can’t be countered if you cast it during your main phase. Vigilance, deathtouch When Lloresz the Fixer enters the battlefield, for each time you cast a commander spell this game, exile target permanent an opponent controls other than a basic land until Lloresz the Fixer leaves the battlefield. If a permanent exiled this way would enter the battlefield, its owner may pay . If they do, that permanent enters the battlefield. 2/3 Hmm, it appears that while the latest version of MSE can handle a colorless/white hybrid mana symbol, the forum can't. Strange. ZephyrPhantom, do you know how to fix that, or do you know who does? Daij_Djan's already got his hands full, and I know he doesn't really know how to alter the forum's base code to this degree, as he already told me once that he doesn't know how to do that.

Ironically speaking, I do know how to do this as I'm the one who added the existing symbol smileys in the first place (Also one needs admin access to do this.) Basically I'd simply need the image files in the right size - they haven't been added so far since it never came up

So, this morning I was awokened by both a card design, & acid reflux. Getting old sucks. At least now I understand why really old people eat dinner a 5pm; it's a survival choice, as GERD can cause cancer. Kerbos, Mortiphage Legendary Creature--Zombie Hydra Vigilance, haste, trample, reach Ward—Pay 1 life for each counter on Kerbos, Mortiphage. Kerbos, Mortiphage enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. Retrace Kerbos, Mortiphage enters the battlefield from a graveyard with an additional X +1/+1 counters on it. 0/0 How Hydras do Sharknado: Hydragenesis Tribal Enchantment--Elemental Hydra This spell can’t be countered if you control a creature with power and/or toughness of 6 or greater. Whenever you pay an X cost, create an X/X green Hydra creature token with trample. Hydras you control have vigilance and reach. Inspired by Zombify's flavor text: Glorious Rebirth Tribal Sorcery--Phyrexian Return target creature card from a graveyard to the battlefield under its owner’s control. If life was paid to cast this spell, that creature enters the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it for every 2 life spent this way. When that creature enters the battlefield, it deals damage equal to its power to its owner. {Phyrexian watermark} Yes, that is essentially compleated for creatures, so good of you to notice. So I was looking through the Unfinity spoilers, and I noticed the flavor text for Goblin Airbrusher sounded familiar. While checking Gatherer for Goblin Piker, I noticed the almost too similarly-named Goblin Picker. After looking at that card, this design immediately sprung into my head: Lineage Warden Creature--Goblin Shaman , , Discard a card: Draw a card. If you discarded a Goblin card this way, draw two cards instead. ------------------------------------------ “There’s a reason we don’t talk about Flerk anymore.”2/2

Scion of Destruction ::BRG:: Legendary Creature--Avatar Incarnation This spell can’t be countered. As Scion of Destruction enters the battlefield, it deals 10 damage to each opponent and each creature and planeswalker controlled by an opponent. Scion of Destruction enters the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the total amount of damage dealt this way. First strike, trample, haste, hexproof Ward , where X is the number of +1/+1 counters on Scion of Destruction.
As long as Scion of Destruction is on the battlefield or suspended, whenever you cast a spell from exile, remove a time counter from each card you own in exile. Commander suspend 10— (Rather than cast this card from the command zone, you may pay plus its commander tax and exile it with ten time counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, cast it without paying its mana cost. It has haste.)
Cascade At the beginning of the end step, sacrifice Scion of Destruction. 0/0 I decided againts giving spells you cast from exile cascade while this was on the battlefield or suspended, as that would mean that every spell you cascaded into had cascade, which would remove a time counter, bringing you closer to casting another spell from exile, which would also have cascade, etc. Also, I ran out of room on the card. I suppose I could just change ward to hexproof, as the amount of damage dealt means that they're essentially the same. Done.

Based on this: Lost in Time Sorcery Exile up to one target creature. It’s controller searches their lilbrary for a card, puts it into their hand, then shuffles. Take an extra turn after this one. Exile Lost in Time. Of course it's not green.

MaRo tried to simplify Transmute Artifact w/ Tinker, & broke things. I hope to fix that: Take Apart Sorcery As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice an artifact, then add an amount of equal to the sacrificed artifact’s mana value. Spend this mana only to cast artifact spells. Search your library for an artifact card. You may cast that card by spending only mana produced by this spell, then shuffle. {Izzet watermark} Copse Stool Artifact As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a Forest that entered the battlefield since your last turn began. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, create a Twig token. (It’s a colorless artifact with mana value of 1 and has “, Sacrifice this artifact: Search your library for a land card named Wastes or a land card with a basic land type, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle.”)Sacrifice three Twigs: Add one mana of any type.

So, I had this friend at Valley College who, while I was trying to design Hive block (my all-Sliver block set on the Sliver homeplane of Hive), I asked how he thought an extraplanar invasion by Slivers would happen. He proceeded to spin an absolutely chilling yarn of the Slivers, when they fist arrive on the new plane, would set about evolving to become useful to the natives, then essential, then disastrous if any attempts at removing them were made. But, then again, who but the most stubborn, foolhardy, &/or paranoid would want to get rid of such helpful creatures? Once the Slivers were so integrated into society that there was no difference between the Slivers and the native population, it would be too late to do anything about them. Tiller Sliver Creature--Sliver When Tiller Sliver enters the battlefield, each player chooses two lands they control. If a land chosen this way would be tapped for mana, that land adds double that type and amount of mana instead. When Tiller Sliver leaves the battlefield, exile each of the chosen lands. 3/4

Flashback ---------------------------------------- Welcome to the Crab Cycle. There is only one step, AND IT IS CRAB! I guess there's also a bit of Pongify in there too, so the eternal struggle of Return to Monke vs. Become Crab rages on.
