korakhos Sorry, Back. I have been really busy with stuff but I should be good. Black destroying artifacts and enchantments is pretty scary. It's otherwise kinda balanced I think, but the one sided nature of it is throwing me off. I'll give it a 9/10 but I feel like it needs to be creatures only possibly. The golem collapses. Whatever is happening, it seems to be a force of its own. The crystals glow changes from blue to red, causing the earth to tremble once more.Roil The Earth Sorcery As an additional cost to cast this, sacrifice a land. Destroy target nonbasic land. Call aid for a good sacrifice target with Radiant Fountain

Lady Mapi : wow, you're feeling ultra sadistic aren't you? Card seems fine although I would rather have it be than . 8/10. Aylin suddenly seems unusually calm, her rage seems to have vanished, although upon closer inspection, all her rage is focused in her voice."I just took you for a simple rioter, I would've never guessed you were also a mind-mage" she replies coldly "I never imagined your abilities could go beyond punching stuff and physical violence... but if you dare do anything like that to me, I will murder you, and I will do it as painfully as possible."Tutor of Oblivion Instant Search your library for a card with converted mana cost X or less, where X is the number of cards you own in exile, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library. "Civilizations forget the past. I do not." Tutor of Oblivion is a neat little combo piece - I don't have any problems with it. A good ol' 9/10. Also... sadism? My dear, I'm so very sorry, but I need a little more valor, so... "Do you think I'm intimidated , sweetie? Don't flatter yourself - I've heard worse from bigger thugs than you'll ever be. And believe me, Aylin, I would know."
Kirino stops laughing. The sparks fade from her eyes, and something that vaguely approaching sadness flickers across her face.
"You aren't a monster , not the way that I am or your mentor was. If things had gone properly , you would've been a cute little kitty, purring happily in a cute little home, curled up with your cute little lover, bringing up your cute little kittens. Wouldn't that have been lovely ? Such wasted potential , just because someone decided that your sweet young face would be fun to break."
She casually turns to leave, dress flicking against the wind.
"But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a broken wreck that fantasizes about being strong is the best you could ever hope to be. Maybe that cute little lover would've just hurt you all the same. I wouldn't know - I'm just a simple rioter."Parting Words - Instant Choose one or both: • Return target permanent to its owner's hand. • Target player draws three cards, then discards three cards at random. "Buh-bye, pretty little kitty."

Instigated Assault Instant This spell costs less to cast if an opponent cast a white spell this turn. This spell costs less to cast if an opponent cast a blue spell this turn. ~ deals 3 damage to any target. "He made me do it! He was using big words, how else could I respond than by punching him straight in the face?" Instigated Assault is a neat way to do colour hate, and at the right rarity. I imagine in the right format it could be pushed to "This spell costs less to cast if an opponent cast a white or blue spell this turn". 10/10

korakhos I am back! So, Brawling Pinnacle deserves 10/10, pretty good balance, okay? "My task is quite simple. Show my undeads what are you made of. I haven't had much time using them for combat and wanna know how they would do"Wave of Undead Sorcery Create two tokens that are the copies of target Zombie with CMC 2 or less. I spend 2 mana to get Screeching Skaab thus milling myself for 6.

mixedrandomj: boy does that card scare me, I've seen some legacy games where it's "nonbasic, wasteland your nonbasic, wasteland, wasteland your wasteland" and so on until by turn five nobody had a land. I think this should be a since, although it is quite specific in what it can target, it is still a sort of wasteland (even if it restricts the color you can use it in). I'm giving this a 7/10. The stranger sees Aylin lying on the floor and looks protectively at the ring in her hand and its alluring green glow. He's seen her fight this creature and expending all of her energy in trying to bring her down. He doesn't know if he can stop the golem, so he decides on an alternative tactic he knows the geomancer would've never taken: escaping. "I don't know who or what you are, creature" he says in a deep voice "But I can't let you harm her any further. If you have any personal business with Aylin then you can solve it later, but right now it is dire that she gets to safety, for it is a matter of life and death..."He raises his hand as he crouches next to Aylin. A sandy hurricane forms around them, making it impossible to see what is going on. Once the sand disperses, neither of them are there...(I need to take this moment for a story update, which is why I'll interrupt this interaction. Once I'm done we can keep this going for as long as you want.) Unexpected Diversion Instant Choose target instant or sorcery with a single target. Choose a target at random for it. "There is no shame in retreating, some day you'll understand."-Amrhotep, to Aylinsanscipher: I thought this card was quite weak until I read it gives you two tokens. I think with the restrictions it could cost , but it is an interesting idea. 8/10. "I've fought much more powerful creatures when I was much weaker than I am now, you really need to grow stronger if you want to be a feared necromancer..." she says, kicking the earth to generate stalactites that impale the undead coming her way.Treacherous Area Sorcery Choose a creature type. ~ deals 2 damage to each creature of the chosen type. Birds of a feather flock together... and that makes it easier to kill multiples with one stone.Lady Mapi: I like your card, it's an interesting way of giving a way of getting rid of a permanent with indestructible without breaking the pie. 9/10. Aylin ponders Kirino's words carefully, the woman clearly speaks with lacking knowledge, the only reason Aylin hasn't shredded her to bits is because she's restraining herself. Yes, she is intimidating, she could destroy Kirino if she wished to do it, maybe she should let her penetrate her mind and see the terrors inside, maybe then she'll realize how meaningless she is... But a part of her mind knows she's been defeated. Kirino's words have cut deep into her repressed memories, bringing the voices of self-loathing back to the front of her mind. "You are weak, and you always have been. You were week that day, and that's why it happened. You're broken, he broke you , and nobody loves or fears a broken person... You are nothing, meaningless, worthless. How could anybody feel anything other than pity for you?"Aylin starts burning inside as she patiently waits for Kirino to be out of sight. Then once she is sure she's completely alone and nobody can see or hear her, she falls to her knees and starts crying.(If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to ask you not to have Kirino actually see or hear Aylin in this moment of vulnerability since I honestly wouldn't know how to keep that going should that be the case.) Delve into Sorrow Instant Until end of turn, you may cast target card from an opponent's graveyard that was discarded this turn. You may cast that card as though it had flash, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast it.

Aylin wakes up startled in a bed. She looks around the room and sees the man that rescued her from the golem sitting watchfully by her side. "Amrhotep!" she exclaims in utter bewilderment "What the hell are you doing here?" Before the man can respond, the geomancer realizes something and speaks again. "How did you get me here, did you lift me? Did you grab me? Did you-?" "Worry not, Aylin, I did not touch you in any way, I simply levitated you here. I came bearing a message and I saw you battle that creature. I knew you would complain if I interrupted your duel, but when you fell, I intervened." "You had no right to do that!" she replies angrily "If I had to die back then why did you interrupt it?! You made me look like a coward, you made me look weak!" The man patiently awaits for her to finish venting before continuing. "Aylin, there's someone coming for you..." "What?" she asks dumbfounded. "A planeswalker approached me a few weeks ago and assaulted me. I tried to fight back but I was no match for him" he says, removing some bandages from his chest and revealing a missing chunk of flesh in his left pectoral "I'm sure if he would've wanted to he would've ripped my heart off... "He wanted to know where Allure was. I didn't mention you, but he knows the gem is out there, and it appears he will stop at nothing to get it..." Aylin looks at the green ring in her right hand: the Gem of Allure. "Is he after the three gems? Did he already get the other two?! Is-" "Your friend is safe, I do not think this walker had the intention of collecting the three gems... he seems intent on getting Allure." "What's this walker's name?" "Malextros" replies Amrhotep grimly "He is a creature of darkness, and he is extremely powerful. I will stay here by your side if you wish to..." "No, I will fight him alone, and I will bring him down, unlike you..." "As you wish. But please, Aylin, do not underestimate him... If you ever need me, summon me. I've taken the liberty of healing your wounds, and I've left some healing salves in here for future use. Take care." Aylin nods politely at Amrhotep, and he knows that's the warmest goodbye he'll receive. Knowing he has no more business in the Arena, he planeswalks away. "So... Malextros, huh?" whispers Aylin to herself, a slight sense of fear growing inside her heart "I'll make sure to bring you down. I know I have the strength for it, and I will keep growing in power!"
Aylin has spent 3 skill points and increased her CMC level to 7

korakhosNice card, and not much else I cas say about it in terms of design. I think for playability reasons, this only fits into very narrow situations though, so 10/10, but I wouldn't espect this to see play in its standard, without a combo that is easily countered by this. As for continuing this battle/story, I am interested, so let me know when you're good to continue by challenging me on my board.

Some voices start to echo in Aylin's head. She feels a peculiar tugging sensation and suddenly the world changes.
She... recognizes this place. It was her home, once, before her life was torn to pieces. And I'm standing right there. I put my finger to my lips, and gently whisper:
"I would be careful. You wouldn't want to hurt yourself, would you?"
Just then, an eerily familiar figure rounds the corner, and Aylin finds herself staring at, well, herself, age 4.

Lady Mapi : Second Chances: I'm usually wary of 2+2 = 4 cards but this one seems balanced as-is, and I like you get the reimbursement in red mana rather than in any color. 9/10. I'm gonna base my story response on young Aylin not being able to see me. If that was not what you intended let me know and I'll change it. Aylin stands completely dumbfounded while staring at the little girl in front of her. The child's movements reveal exactly what she's trying to do: she's trying to practice geomancy for the first time. Aylin's father is a geomancer, but her mother is a pyromancer, so Aylin has the chance of developing either talent, but not both. In a few minutes, Aylin is going to lift a small chunk of earth and proudly go to her parents with her achievements, sealing her geomancy and discarding her pyromantic genes forever. This is probably the happiest moment of her life, and it took place back when the world made sense... Aylin suddenly realizes something: if this is the past, this is the right moment to change history. If she manages to discourage herself from learning geomancy, she'll probably focus on her pyromancy, which means her life will take an entirely new turn in life. No traumatic past, no despicable geomancy teacher, no ascension...There is the catch. As the Gem on her ring begins glowing with green, she is reminded that she wouldn't be in possession of it had she not become a planeswalker. Someone by the name of Malextros is after it, and if she changes the course of time, she won't be the one who's there to protect it when he finally arrives. But not only that, the story behind the Gem, how she obtained it... It is one of the few happy memories she has from after her ascent. Ever since her first planeswalk, she's been doing things for the sake of doing things, but everything she did in Korrinayru ended up having a purpose and actually establishing a friendship, even if she'll never see Darios again... She can't afford to change the past, not after all she's managed to do through the years.Aylin is probably going to regret this decision in the future, but currently she's bizarrely managed to achieve peace of mind. She approaches her younger self, who doesn't seem to notice her at all. With a gentle demeanor, Aylin grabs her younger self and starts ethereally guiding her through the right moves until the kid finally raises a small chunk of rock from the ground and, with a beaming smile on her face, runs proudly to her parents with the rock following her behind, slowly and sloppily, but still doing it.From the Ashes of Defeat Instant Until end of turn, target creature gains "When this creature leaves the battlefield, create a token that's a copy of this creature except it's a red Elemental with haste. Exile that token at the beginning of your next turn's end step."

Exile that token at the beginning of your next turn's end step." I feel the ache once more. I force a smile to my (oh so fake feeling) face, and say"When you're ready, the door behind you will take you back."I turn to leave. Involuntarily, a memory flairs to my mind and I stumble. I stutter. Did Aylin feel it? No matter."Kirino !Na Oblay, we find you guilty of the crime of high treason and heresy of the third degree", my husband-to-be said, safe on his podium. I snuck a glance at his eyes - they were hard as flint.
"Despite these heinous crimes, the mercy of the courts is infinite. Rather than being put to death, you will merely be rendered Calm."
If my collar would have let me, I would have screamed and plead. If my shackles had let me, I would have called the law around me like silks and I would have argued my innocence. If it weren't for the wards, I would have cried. As it was, all I could do was stare at the quiet, stern faces of my family and the low caste who had come to watch one of the Highest brought low. Yesterday, they had been cheering my name - how fickle they all are.
I was lead to the altar, and my hands were forced down on it. Holy fire that only I could feel swept up my arms and into my head, burning out my hieromancy in an instant. Then it started for my heart. I felt my last surge of terror - there would be no more of that, soon, only obedience and ord-
Then it all stopped, and I saw the future. I saw my gently smiling, soulless face being lead from the altar. I saw my wedding, my daughter's birth, and her whole life - first as a darling little girl (if the fire would have left me love I would have loved her) and then as a bright young woman. Her life was simple but happy - and one day she got married and had her own children, who had their own children, ad infinitum. This was the order of things, and I couldn't do anything to change it.
...
I refused it anyway. My mind was filled with lightning, and my chains burned. That night, Agahia followed suit. Call The Hoards - Instant - Put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield that shares a name with a creature you control. It gains haste and "At the beginning of your next end step, return this creature to its owner's hand". From the Ashes of Defeat is really neat design - it feels appropriately costed, as well. I say it's a 9/10, and I'd be happy to run it in Zada EDH.

Lady Mapi : seriously, what the hell is Kirino? XD Call the Hoards has been a headache to rate. True, you need to actually invest resources to get the first creature on the battlefield in order to use it and you have to actually have the other card in your hand if you want to. It is a powerful effect, but the amount of hoops you need to go through in order to get it to its maximum power seem enough to make it balance ( maybe make it cost though, that would leave me more at ease). 8/10. Aylin follows the voice's instructions mindlessly. As she steps through the door, something seem to cross her mind. Images appear like memories, but not hers. It all happens so fast that she can't discern anything she just watched, as if she was witnessing something that went beyond the understanding of her mortal mind. All this does is leave her with a splitting headache and an aching sensation in her heart.Lineage Interruption Instant Destroy target creature if its controller controls a creature that shares a name with it. "You are unworthy of carrying my name, and for that you shall no longer be."

Lineage Interruption is a solid piece of conditional removal. On top of the more obvious uses, it really works well against stuff like degenerate Splinter Twin combos. I'm even willing to let you get away with it for , because your opponent will still have a creature afterwards. A 9/10.

As dark clouds begin turning the sky grey, an ill wind blows. Pitch-black smoke begins converging in a single point, slowly but certainly shaping itself first into a vaporous vestige of a creature, but becoming more and more tangible with every passing second. A dark aberration clad in armor appears in the Arena. His skin is a sickly pale grey, his head is almost entirely covered in an ornamental helmet branching into disgusting shapes, leaving only the mouth uncovered so he can show the disgusting set of fangs accentuated by his lipless smile. The same smoke that summoned him seems to float all around him, creating an eerie aura of darkness that never dissipates and revealing the truth: this creature is pure evil. Not that he'd ever try to hide it. He knows he is evil, he enjoys being evil, evil is what brought him to life and what drives him. He's been born of darkness itself, and it follows him around wherever he goes. He takes a deep breath in order to take in the entirety of the world he is in, then smiles maliciously. "I know you're here, Aylin, and you have something that belongs to me..." he says to the emptiness that surrounds him. He begins walking, guided by the drive of the Gem of Allure, knowing that it will guide him to his prey.
Malextros has arrived at the Arena, but, since he's not planning on staying, he shall be using the guest system (don't come to interact with him, let him come to you...) Art: Dark Matter Evolved by JamesRyman

A gentle hand touches Aylin's shoulder as she sits at her freshly carved grave. "Hey, I... I know this isn't the best time." Reyhsia stood behind her, her blood still neatly behaving despite the healing hole through her chest. "And, we haven't exactly started on the best of terms. I just have to let you know before Lance does... whatever it is he's doing. What you said out there... you were wrong.""Wrong choice, idiot... My mother is dead!"

cajun Reyhsia: a card that cares about legendaries? Most unorthodox! I really like the first ability as a variant on Bob and I'm really digging the ultimate! Gonna give it a 5/10 so it takes longer for you to get Library of Leng and I can keep Okarina here longer 9/10. Aylin feels Reyhsia's hand on her shoulder and immediately turns around ready to punish her for touching her, she gets into combat position, then recognizes the woman. "What do you want?" she asks with obvious spite."Hey, I... My mother is dead!""Aylin, your mother is alive."Aylin scoffs."How would you know? You don't know me at all! And you pretend to tell me something that's so obviously a lie?! Get out of my sight before I hurt you!" she spits, putting special emphasis on the word hurt.Mild Annoyance Instant ~ deals 1 damage to each of up to one target creature, up to one target player and up to one target planeswalker.
