Radical Mindbreaker Creature — Hunan Warrior (3) When Radical Mindbreaker enters the battlefield, it deals 2 damage to target opponent who controls an artifact. ”We need to stop living in the past”2/1 Side note: I don’t think this is a wording they generally use, but it seems to work

The example card is kind of using the exile zone to represent accessing memories, makes me feel like Cipher might be flavorful keyword for returning memories? Troubleshoot Sorcery Draw a card, then discard a card. Cipher (Then you may exile this spell card encoded on a creature you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, its controller may cast a copy of the encoded card without paying its mana cost.)The Evermind is a living archive of our greatest successes... as well as our mistakes.

Age-Old Ritual Sorcery Each player sacrifices a creature. Draw two cards. Our ancestors didn't know what they were doing, and that's what made it awful. We know what we are doing, and that's what makes it wonderful.

Ancestral Arrival Sorcery Legacy (You may exile a creature card from your graveyard as you cast this spell. If you do, reduce its mana cost by that card's converted mana cost.) Cherished Memories Sorcery (10) You gain life equal to the number of cards in your graveyard, then shuffle your graveyard into your library. If you control an artifact, draw a card. ”I visit the Evermind every day now, in case it’s the last.”Eventually this will be entirely people trying to revive this.

Guess I'll just make the last uncommon even though that would be card number four from me: Mind Funnel Artifact Imprint - When ~ enters the battlefield, exile the bottom card of your library. : Add one mana of any color that any card exiled with ~ is or add {C} if they are colorless. , , Sacrifice ~: Put all cards exiled with ~ into your hand. Only the rare/mythic left. And possibly the foil if you have a sudden idea.

what better way to end on than a big flashy legend
The Evermind Legendary Artifact When The Evermind enters the battlefield, exile all cards from all graveyards. Players may play cards exiled with The Evermind and spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast them.

Welp, almost 9 months after this contest started, I guess it's judging time. Wild. {Judging} Foiled Attack Instant " style="max-width:100%;"] Choose one or both - Target artifact is indestructible until end of turn; and/or target blocking creature is indestructible until end of turn. "Stop them! They're here for the Evermind!" Foiled Attack is an interesting card. I like that it works pretty well flavorfully with the idea presented, and using "choose one or both" is a nice idea here. However, according to Adamant Will, the correct wording is "gains indestructible", and speaking of Adamant Will, this card is pretty weak in comparison - Adamant Will is better in most situations as there is no blocking restriction and there's a power boost, while this only gives you flexibility. Overall, a pretty cool card, if not weak. Radical Mindbreaker " style="max-width:100%;"] " style="max-width:100%;"] Creature — Hunan Warrior " style="max-width:100%;"](3) When Radical Mindbreaker enters the battlefield, it deals 2 damage to target opponent who controls an artifact. ”We need to stop living in the past"2/1 Radical Mindbreaker is another cool idea, and I think that it's a pretty interesting and fun effect that again, works well within the flavor of the set. The only problem is that it's a weaker Viashino Pyromancer, a card that's already pretty weak, and the condition is pretty hard to meet in some scenarios. Troubleshoot Sorcery " style="max-width:100%;"] Draw a card, then discard a card. Cipher (Then you may exile this spell card encoded on a creature you control. Whenever that creature deals combat damage to a player, its controller may cast a copy of the encoded card without paying its mana cost.)The Evermind is a living archive of our greatest successes... as well as our mistakes.Cipher was an incredibly cool mechanic to bring back that I didn't even consider, and it plays perfectly with the exile-matters theme I set up with the first card, and the flavor of an artifact set that the other two entries added. The card itself seems about balanced to me, especially for a common, so I like it! Great job. Devoted Genealogist 3U Common Creature - Human Wizard When ~ enters the battlefield, return target creature card that shares a creature type with ~ from your graveyard to your hand. 2/4 This is not a blue effect, but if this card were black or green, I think that it would have been a pretty cool and interesting card and a nice addition to the set. It's a balanced card, minus the color. Age-Old Ritual " style="max-width:100%;"]Sorcery Each player sacrifices a creature. Draw two cards. Our ancestors didn't know what they were doing, and that's what made it awful. We know what we are doing, and that's what makes it wonderful. This is a pretty interesting card, as it's kind of like an Altar's Reap stapled to a Diabolic Edict in a way that works well flavorfully, as two creatures get sacrificed and two cards get drawn. It's an interesting idea, and I think that it's balanced, considering it's two 1B cards being put together. Nice job! [Common #7] Vadae Burial Priest " style="max-width:100%;"] " style="max-width:100%;"] Creature - Human Druid When Vadaleen Soothsayer enters the battlefield, you may exile target creature card in a graveyard. If you do, you may put a land from your hand onto the battlefield tapped. "The Evermind doesn't breed growth, but rather promotes stagnation." 1/2This is a fine common, and I think that it's a cool take on using two of green's effects to create a card that makes flavorful sense, much like the last entry. It's also well-balanced, although it's probably a little weaker than similar cards like Elvish Rejuvenator. COMMON #8 Past Presence Sorcery " style="max-width:100%;"] Put the bottom card of your library on top of your library. Draw a card. "We don't know what the past holds for our future, but we know we can use it for the present." -Gassan, High Oracle. This is a pretty weak card, as it's worse than drawing a card most of the time, and drawing from the bottom of your library is something that's pretty annoying when you're in-game. Overall, I'm not sure that I like this effect, especially because there isn't anything else in the pack that makes it into a theme. Ancestral Arrival " style="max-width:100%;"] Sorcery " style="max-width:100%;"] Legacy (You may exile a creature card from your graveyard as you cast this spell. If you do, reduce its mana cost by that card's converted mana cost.) Create two 1/1 white Spirit creature tokens with flying. "Knowledge they might have, but without the experience to go with it, this generation will fail like ours did."
I really like this mechanic, as it plays well with the exile theme and works flavorfully. I think that the card is pretty balanced, as I think that it's not broken if you're able to get a 4-drop in your graveyard, and it's not totally unplayable if you manage to exile a 1 or 2 drop. Love the flavor text too! Cherished Memories " style="max-width:100%;"] Sorcery (10) You gain life equal to the number of cards in your graveyard, then shuffle your graveyard into your library. If you control an artifact, draw a card. ”I visit the Evermind every day now, in case it’s the last.”These are two effects that don't really make sense together, but I like the first one a lot, especially as a tool in draft. I think that it's playable in limited because of the card draw, if not too powerful if you can stockpile your graveyard. Cool idea! Delver of Regrets " style="max-width:100%;"] Creature - Human Wizard " style="max-width:100%;"] Whenever another nontoken creature you control dies, you may draw a card and lose 1 life. "Looking at what the dead regretted the most is quite useful to avoid making their same mistakes."
1/3
Considering Dark Prophecy exists, this card is undercosted, especially considering it has a 1/3 body as opposed to being an enchantment. That said, it's a cool flavor. Memory Burn " style="max-width:100%;"] " style="max-width:100%;"] " style="max-width:100%;"] Instant " style="max-width:100%;"] Memory Burn deals damage to each player equal to the number of cards in their graveyard. "No joke guys, we really need to stop living in the past." This is a really fun card, and I think that it's a cool method for having graveyard-hate. That said, I think it's too powerful at three mana, as you can likely one-shot an opponent with low life if the game has been going for a long time, and pairing this card with other ones that shuffle your graveyard into your library makes it one-sided and too much. Mind Funnel " style="max-width:100%;"]Artifact " style="max-width:100%;"] Imprint - When ~ enters the battlefield, exile the bottom card of your library. " style="max-width:100%;"]: Add one mana of any color that any card exiled with ~ is or add {C} if they are colorless. " style="max-width:100%;"], " style="max-width:100%;"], Sacrifice ~: Put all cards exiled with ~ into your hand. Imprint is another cool mechanic that works with the theme of the set, and this card seems like a great interpretation of that. I like that you get mana based on the color of the exiled card (although the wording would probably work better as " : Add " style="max-width:100%;"] or one mana of any color that a card exiled with ~ is.") I like that it gives you the opportunity to get access to that exiled card, as you probably wouldn't see it for the rest of the game. Great job! The Evermind Legendary Artifact " style="max-width:100%;"] When The Evermind enters the battlefield, exile all cards from all graveyards. Players may play cards exiled with The Evermind and spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast them. I'm not sure how timing stuff would work with this card (there would probably be stuff where players try and cast the spell at the same time, and it would be confusing to figure how that resolves), but this is super flavorful, and I think that it's very well balanced and would be super fun to play in a casual / limited format. Awesome job! Overall, everyone did a great job, but I'm going to have to give the win to fluffydeathbringer for Ancestral Arrival and The Evermind.

bodacious
so your next prompt is a world named Samang. here are the deets
- oceania aesthetic - a bowl-shaped world divided horizontally into five distinct biomes, which are, from the bottom: - Danawan, sand and lakes
- Punan, rainforest, giants, weird elementals
- Bundan, volcanic region with occasional left forest, more elementals
- Kanlan, non-volcanic wasteland, barren rock - Langan, a separate heavenly paradise realm. angels. no one dies and everything's chill
- the journey across the three middle layers and their dangers to Langan is culturally significant in that everyone's expected to do it
- Kanlan mostly consists of people rejected from Langan for various reasons and so has a lot of bitter people invested in no one getting to Langan - Langan is ruled by an angel named Liguno who's mostly fair except for the bit where he thinks no one in Kanlan deserves to come to Langan - if you die during the journey you reincarnate back on Danawan
first common
Danawan Aspirant Creature - Human Scout Embolden 1-- (Whenever this creature attacks, you may pay . If you do, create a 1/1 green Scout creature token.)Every hopeful who finds the courage to take the Journey is an inspiration to those still looking for theirs.

I thought Ascend would be the perfect fit for the set, given that its flavor is literally ascending a bowl shaped world. If need be, the flavor could be adapted to feature an important city in Langan that gives you that blessing.
