Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and twenty-fifth challenge! The winner of the "And in this corner" poll was viriss with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... Choose any (canon) Planeswalker and shift it to a new color. Try to keep the style but change their philosophy. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

kinotherapy: You're not wrong.
We all know how well Kytheon's confrontation of Erebos went. But, what if the fallout of that event happened a different way? What if Lord Erebos offered the young Iora a deal: "Serve me, and serve me well, and I will grant you the boon of forgetting. Fail me, and your failures will be your only thoughts." The moment Kytheon accepted that cruel bargain is what truly broke him, sending him hurtling through The Blind Eternities, to Innistrad. But, the deal had already been struck, and was still binding across the whole of the multiverse, regardless of Erebos' planar shortcomings.
Now, seemingly trapped on a world of little but death, pain, grief, horror, agony, and mistrust, Kytheon, already old before his time with the trauma of his worst failure, must learn to rely only on himself and his skills in order to survive. But the pull of his master is ever-present at the back of his mind, and he has no idea when the call to return home will become too great to ignore. All he knows is that it'll come, and soon...
Kytheon, Servant of Erebos Legendary Planeswalker--Gideon Whenever a creature dies, put a loyalty counter on Kytheon, Servant of Erebos. : Target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn for each loyalty counter on Kytheon, Servant of Erebos. : Until end of turn, Kytheon, Servant of Erebos becomes a Human Soldier creature with power and toughness each equal to the number of loyalty counters on him and gains indestructible. He’s still a planeswalker. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to him this turn. : Destroy all creatures.

Redesigned one of my favorite walkers, I'm sure most people here know the story branch I chose to switch here.
Her main abilities have usually been tapping and card draw so i kept tapping and kind of switched drawing to exiling, but her ultimate is reminiscent of her Eldritch Moon ultimate, mainly because this is supposed to be that same time period of Tamiyo.

You know, Jace and especially the Memory Adept/ Mindsculptor stuff is pretty dang terrifying when you think about it. Jace, Ravager of Memories Legendary Planeswalker - Jace : Each player discards a card. Then you draw a card. : Look at the top card of target player's library. You may put that card into its owner's graveyard. : Target player discards their hand. : Target player gets an emblem with "Your maximum hand size is 0" (Idk if I'm gonna keep this entry, but this was the first thing that came to mind for this challenge.)

Dumb question. Are we supposed to take a specific PW CARD, and color shift it, or just make a different colored version of a PW?

Dumb question. Are we supposed to take a specific PW CARD, and color shift it, or just make a different colored version of a PW? From what I understand, it's the latter. Pick a planeswalker and make a card that would represent them in a different color. For my entry, I'm going with Nissa. After she became the 'worldwaker' in the BFZ block, my thinking is that she became so enamored with Zendikar that she has decided that other planes must give up some of their mana to help rebuild Zendikar. She begins working behind the backs of the Gatewatch, stealing mana on all the planes they visit and bringing it back to Zendikar. Legendary Planeswalker -- Nissa : Sacrifice a land you control. : Destroy target creature or land. : Each opponent loses 5 life for each land card in their graveyard. You gain life equal to the amount lost this way.

Ok, not my best work, but for some reason, the idea of an Elspeth who was Embraced by a Vampire appealed to me. So, I present...
I admit, its more of a Planeshifted version of Elspeth, Sun's Champion, but with a few tweaks to it. Still, I like the idea.

Attachment DeletedMu Yanling, Ruled by Emotion Legendary Planeswalker - Yanling Up to two target creatures can’t block this turn. Exile the top two cards of your library. Until end of turn, you may play cards that have been exiled by ~. Take two extra turns after this one. At the beginning of that second turn’s end step, you lose the game. {Please Read} Mu Yangling's spark ignited after the man who saved her, Lishan, died in her arms. When she awoke, his body was gone and she believed that he must still be alive. So she went out into the world seeking out arcane secrets and magic that may help her find him and right the wrongs of her past.
What if instead of thinking logically, she was overcome by her passion and grief and instead took a more emotional approach? Doing anything she could to find Lishan (both represented by her +2 and ultimate ability) while still digging up her past and trying to find clues (represented by her -3). Each of her abilities also does thing in twos (Panic two creatures, exiles top two, and take two turns), which is no coincident. In Chinese culture, the number two is considered a very lucky number as good things come in pairs.

What if upon his return to the reforged timeline, Sarkhan's madness vanishes entirely and, realizing all of his previous ideologies have brought him naught but despair, begins to follow one of Narset's paths (i.e. colors)? He still retains his reverence of dragons, but does so in a completely different way.

What if instead of trying to publicly execute Chandra after murdering her father, instead Baral held her captive and brainwashed her into believing her father's death was her own doing in order to have her repress her pyromancy? What if Baral had trained her to be his right hand and now uses her as a tool to repress others who show her same potential?

mixedrandomj: For the , you should prolly specify who's drawing the card.
kinotherapy: Why aren't you calling the ultimate manifest when it's so clearly manifest? ": Manifest the top half of your library, rounded down." Done.

Non-evergreen mechanics on planeswalkers are gross. Also I might change the second part yet, I'm not sure just flipping creatures is blue enough

I see I'm not the only one who decided to do a blue Chandra Not so lesser known fact about Pyromancy: If you warm up an area, that heat has to come from somewhere, meaning with the right training you can draw the heat out of a selected area instead by channeling it away. So, with only a change in temperament (but not abilities) Chandra could have been a Cryomancer instead!

sade612 maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound much like a healer based on the abilities. The closest one would be the flicker, I guess.

I decided to colorshift my namesake. The idea is, before he was deified, Thassa convinced him to join her cause. (No idea how that happened, but there's an AU for everything.) Because of this, he strives to bring all of his Satyrs to Thassa's side as well (hence the -2)

sade612: The first ability doesn't work how you think it does. To make it work, you'd have to right it out as: "Exile target permanent you control, then return it to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control." The reason being once an object leaves a zone, even if that object returns to that zone, it's considered a new object, with no "memory" of its previous existence.

What if Liliana's cure for Josu had actually helped him, instead of turning him into an undead abomination? Liliana Vess, Wandering Saint Legendary Planeswalker-- Liliana : Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. It gains indestructible until end of turn. : Create a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying for each creature card in your graveyard. : You get an emblem with "Whenever a creature you control dies, return it to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step." In this timeline, Kiora's sister was the one to be eaten by the serpent, with no planeswalker spark to miraculously rescue her. The white-hot pain flung Kiora to the Eternities; she wandered through them aimlessly, processing her feelings until finally finding something to hate, something to blame. The sea itself. She turned away from it, renouncing the power of her kind and confiding in the magicks and creatures of the dry earth.
Now, Kiora seeks powerful mages and warriors for her offensive against what was once her home, planning to move on to oceans of other planes once she's done destroying Zendikar's. "If the seas are drained, no one will die to their horrors like Turi." is her rationalization, but what truly possesses her is blind grief and petulant anger.
