Murder Devil Creature - Devil Flash When you cast ~, pay an additional unless you've cycled a card this turn. When ~ enters the battlefield, it deals damage to any nonplayer target you don't control equal to the amount of cards you've drawn this turn. Cycling 2/1

Daij_Djan and Mesmerizing Wall: This Wall would be right at home in a slow Limited deck (which is probably the point). The implications of defender counters worry me a little, but on its own it’s a solid design. viriss and Magic Marker: This is definitely an odd one, but it seems quite strong in a cycling deck. It reminds me of Oblivion Stone. I think the flavor doesn’t really fit with the effect though- why are my art supplies destroying things? Idea and M’s Mark: This is an interesting Thoughtsieze variant, and I like how your opponent gets a clue to replace what they lost. However, Thoughtsieze can’t hit lands, and in formats with fetch lands you can lock your opponent out of the game with this. melono and Murder Devil: Even though this has flash, it might be best on your own turn since you drew a card in your draw step. This is definitely an interesting payoff for a cycling deck, but is usable even if you don’t have other cycling cards. ameisenmeister and Morbid Goliath: The cycling on this seems like the stronger half, but I like how the Zombie is in the graveyard waiting to come back and eat those Soldiers. It would be nice if you had the tokens at the same time as the Goliath, so you could sacrifice them (like Devouring Sugarmaw does) The winner is melono for the card that seems the most interesting both in and out of a dedicated cycling deck. Congratulations!

Tyftw! Crazy how a card inspired by the modern devil Orcish Bowmasters could win a challenge. Next 3: LIMIT #150: Type Hype! Your card cares about a certain card type. (i.e. land, creature, sorcery, etc.) ( Thanks, jrey15!) LIMIT #84: You'll go down in history! You card is historic. (Historic permanents are artifacts, legendary permanents and sagas) ( Thanks, digiman619!) And the new one: LIMIT #202: Your personal little number. Generate a random number equal to the number of slots/challenges/limits in this game. Use that slot in your submission (also mention the rolled number+slot in your post). For example, if I would participate, I'd roll for a number between 1 and 201; for me I roll a 26: thus I'd do this one: "LIMIT #26: Your card is monocolored." ( Thanks, melono!) EDIT: viriss - does this make it clearer?

LIMIT #35: Even Steven: Your card's CMC is even. The Æon Contract Legendary Artifact You may activate loyalty abilities of planeswalkers you don’t control if the activation doesn’t remove loyalty. When The Æon Contract is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may search your library for a planeswalker card. If you do, reveal it and put it into you hand, then shuffle.

I got challenge #45: I hope you remember how to use call numbers, because... your card lets you search your library! (Thanks, Sewn-Eye!)

My limit was LIMIT #153: Here to stay! Your card is a permanent. (Thanks, Viriss!) Pretty straightforward. Here's my card: EDIT: Added "nonland" for obvious reasons.

Judgejudge! {Spoiler} viriss - Lich’s Phylactery: Quite standard lichery. Creating blood on instant and sorcery casting sounds like a fun mechanic. I’m not entirely convinced by immediately turning life into zero, and having the thing keeping you alive having a sacrifice ability… Flo00 - The Æon Contract: Even just that search ability is strong, also being able to frick up opponents with their own planeswalkers, that’s just rough. It’s a new mechanic, and it’s cool, but I cannot see this being 2 mana only. Idea - The Omenpath Rescue: I am a little confused, but I feel like I’m missing the 4th lore symbol on the left of the card. It’s got 4 abilities after all, and the top one ain’t static. Also, ability 3 (I think) would work well with ability 1, but for that, you need to also play a planeswalker from hand besides the one you might have kept from the first ability. That’s kinda neat, that you need to work around possibly going back more and more with the lore counters. One thing that I don’t like, but wizards has been more lenient with: mixing of counters in the second ability. ameisenmeister : Lands can’t be cast though, so it would be fine to have nonland left out. Anyhoo, this card suggests deckbuilding with a great variety of types (and few tokens). A pretty good good-stuff card in that sense. All cards designed here have their own things going for them, but I’ll be giving it to ameisenmeister , for having a fun cost-reducer.

Well, lands can't be cast but without the nonland clause, having three lands on the table would reduce all your spells by , which is quite busted. Anyway, thanks for the win! You next limits are: LIMIT #17: The Challenge Slots has sentenced you to this challenge: you may only use up to three sentences in your card's textbox! LIMIT #7: Subliminal messaging: Your card has a (noncreature) subtype. (e.g., Aura, Equipment, Trap) LIMIT #203: Storytime! Your card is set on the plane of Eldraine. (Thanks, Ameisenmeister!) Have fun!

Jester Token Enchantment - Aura Role Enchant creature When enchanted creature becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, that player rolls a six-sided die. If they roll 3 or lower, counter that spell.

It's judging time! {Jartis} Very flavorful, especially as a background. Could be a very salt inducing card, though, seeing that you can basically steal any creature permanently as soon as you have your commander out (and then create some tokens). But it might just as well be fine. {viriss} So I guess you throw it on an Ornithopter or Clue token and start beating face? It's okay but not very special - Ensoul Artifact is probably just better most of the time. {Idea} A new role token. That's interesting. I wonder whether it's too similar to the royal role token, though. But it's cool and I like randomizing stuff – in reasonable doses, that is. {melono} The flavor is dripping with this one. The hybrid equip cost seems a bit too busy considering all the other stuff that the card already does but that might just be me. {And the winner is...} melono! ... for their Eldraine flavor bomb. Good job of all the contestants here, especially Jartis who's second place. Thanks for participating!

Tyftw! And I agree, the hybrid equip is indeed dubiously much clutter. But I wanted the whole going through the forest part of the fairy-tale in it in one way or the other... Next up, next three: LIMIT #51: ACK! A SHADOW! Oh wait, its mine. Your card involves light. (Thanks, EyeofTruth!) LIMIT #132: That reminds me of a song! Your card has a musical flavor or features singing of any sort. (Thanks, eshix!)And then new one: LIMIT #204: Me and you and you and me. Your card affects multiple players directly (Meaning that if the card mentions, for example, something akin to "each player", "each opponent" or "two target players", you've fulfilled this slot.) ( Thanks melono!)

emberfire17 - Fun universes beyond card, I'm not into Zelda, so the relevance to its source material I can't say, but the mechanics are neat. I would think that all drawing would be more white however, and feels very tacked on for the challenge because of it. Idea - That's an interesting political piece. You'll probably win if all choose themselves (or it's just you and one opponent). The cost is a bit too small though, especially in two-player formats. It's a one mana conditional counter (sometimes maybe more) plus the monarch. Flavor is great, cost is not. ameisenmeister - Interesting piece. Opponents might blow you out if you're not careful, but otherwise, you at least get one cheaper bomb on the field. Works well in multiplayer, especially seeing how well Tempt with Discovery usually plays out due to prisoner dilemma-esque feelings. Chaos is also a very possible result because of this. And might actually work well with white's "all draw cards" mechanics, which is a rarity. Imma give it to ameisenmeister as the winner, with Idea as the runner-up.

Thanks for the win! Let's go with this next:
LIMIT #61: Charge to 200 volts... Clear! Your card incorporates charge counters! (Thanks, CoreyImperia!)
LIMIT #172: To infinity and beyond! Your card references a work of fiction that is not part of Magic. (Thanks, Flo00!)
LIMIT #205: The spice of life. Your card's text box contains the word "random".
Have fun!

I might have forgotten a challenge giving this a second look... Actual card comes another time. Assaulting Battery Artifact : Put a charge counter on ~. Remove X charge counters from ~: ~ deals X damage to a creature an opponent controls chosen at random. Channel - , Discard ~ from your hand: Put a charge counter on target permanent, then gain life equal to the amount of charge counters on it.

Flubber Legendary Creature - Ooze Trample ~ enters with a +1/+1 counter on it for each you have. If ~ would deal combat damage to a player, if that player controls a creature, it deals that much damage to a random creature that player controls instead. , Return ~ to its owner's hand: You get . 1/1
