I'll be out of town over the weekend, so I'm going to close this challenge on Monday the 14th (or possibly Tuesday morning, depending on when I get back).

The winner is Flo00! I shall now pass judgment upon you all.
inferno390 Hey, saprolings. Always glad to see more cards that support those lil' fellas. For five mana, I wish this card would just make one or two saprolings by itself, but I get that you're probably playing it with a saproling engine already online. Similarly, I don't love paying four mana for a 1/1 that isn't guaranteed to gain me 1 life. If this card cost 2GG and 2G or even GG to pump out saps I would ADORE it. As it stands, this is merely good-but-not-great.
viriss Oh, so it's like those Ordeals? That took me a minute. Simple, but effective. Combos devastatingly well with Cathar's Crusade, for example, and I never say no to a downright upsetting point of synergy like that. Good generator for sacrifices. Might not be intolerable at common, either. Nice.
Daij_Djan Yeah, I feel you on the art thing. I think this card is actually too good. Play this on curve, maybe with Reaver or Invasion already on the board, then next turn play Widespread Brutality and suddenly you're looking at, like, a 5/5 or a 6/6 and they have an empty board. Which, you know, I don't love. Maybe I'm hyperbolizing this card's effects, but at uncommon, for 2B, it's setting off alarm bells. You want an uncommon Dreadhorde Invasion, I get that, it's fine conceptually, I just think this is too effective.
shiftyhomunculus It didn't occur to me, but yeah, Core Set 2021 is totally an option. Props for pointing that out. The card itself is--initially, I had written this up as being merely okay, a perfectly solid if bland four-drop rare, but then I realized you can double the lifespan of your commander. Play it, it dies, they have to kill the copy, yeah it's much easier to do that then kill the original, but it might give you enough time to generate enough mana to cover the commander tax for the next time. Hey, is a token copy of your commander still your commander? Plus the obvious stuff like Elite Guardmage or Solemn Simulacrum--or evoke. It's still a four-drop do-nothing enchantment, but it's a compelling four-drop do-nothing enchantment, darn it.
Flo00 Trailb-LA-zer, but yes. So it's like a Paladin of Atonement but for tokens--or a monowhite Elenda. 3WW for a 3/3 flyer is tolerable, if you ask me. White's also great at granting double strike, which turns this creature from powerful to outright obscene. I notice that it's not a Knight, so it doesn't get support from ELD cards like Belle of the Brawl, Knights' Charge, or especially Venerable Knight. Hey, maybe that's intentional. Fine by me. Either way, this card is dangerously delightful. Bravo.
Boogymanjunior This card's super neat. It's positively grotesque with Korvold in play, which is nice. Reasonable price for the effect, can get out of hand quickly if it's not dealt with--yep, this is exactly what I'm looking for in a creature. Not much to say about it. It's simple but devilishly effective. And I'm used to singleton formats; just imagine what it's like with a whole playset of these in tow.
majicallah I won't lie, formatting could be a lot better, but I can tell you're just starting out. Here's how this effect ought to be written out--this is what I'll be judging.
Monument of War Artifact At the beginning of your end step, create X Gift tokens, where X is the number of creatures that died this turn. ( Gifts are artifacts with ", Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 1 life.")
This is pretty good! Honestly, I think it's a perfectly reasonable card. It's grim, but I appreciate the flavor of creating Citizens just to sacrifice them or have them chump-block. Getting a free 1/1 every turn--let's face it, that's what that is--is also pretty sweet. I was hesitant on Gifts at first, but what they lack in lifegain they make up for by being completely free, so I think it works out. Nicely done! Keep it up. This shows great potential.
ameisenmeister Blazing Volley wipes opponents' boards now? I am into it! Seems like a reasonable effect for six mana. Art's good. Utterly nasty in Commander, which is never a downside in my book. Overall, I think this card is juuuuuust expensive enough to be balanced. Good job with this.

Thanks for the feedback FLAREdirector. I was afraid it would ba a bit too close to Elenda. And I just plainly forgot about the class. Should be a Soldier I guess. I'd like to pass this contest to a runner-up, since I won't be available until November.

Thank you for the runner-up and enriching description FLAREdirector ! LIMIT #25: Your card's color identity contains green. LIMIT #93: Let's give thanks. Your card benefits all players at the table! (Thanks, gateways7!) LIMIT #125: Product Replacement: Your card has a replacement effect. (Thanks, Boogymanjunior!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As explained on the link, "a replacement effect is a type of continuous effect that watches for one event to happen, and replaces it entirely with another event. The wording of these effects use "instead", "As <something happens>, ...", or "<Some permanent> comes into play..." to indicate they are replacement effects." Have fun!

Flourish of Foilage Enchantment Whenever a player searches their library for any number of cards, they may search their library for that many cards plus one instead. Whenever a land is tapped for mana, that land's controller adds 1 mana of any color that land could produce to their mana pool. This card should benefit all players at the table... but benefits you the most.

If Kruphix, God of Horizons can do it for just you *and* give you a big indestructible creature for five mana... I'm thinking this can be just one mana. =)

Everyone gets extra tokens, you and yours just get MORE extra tokens!
My advice? Brimaz, Hungry Lynx, Leonin Warleader, Pride Sovereign, Regal Caracal. And that's just for Cats! Rhys is nasty.

Probably seems weak but will likely provide so much card selection that it will win you the game in any decent stompy deck. I've made it a creature to make it easier to deal with for the opponent.

{ inferno390} inferno390 Very interesting card. It's Heartbeat of Spring plus a unique ability you can play around with very well and broadly while also having a high possibility that each other player gets use out of it (which is something I like to see, as some global effects can be so special that the other players very rarely can benefit from, which always gives a kind of pseudo-global vibe). I especially like the ability combination because it specifically makes green tutors (lands and creatures) even better: lands are now mana-richer, and more big creatures can be played with the additional mana. I would only say that it could cost 1 mana less, considering that both global effects resolve around very common things. And maybe make the mana cost a bit less green because even though I just stated the nice green-push, these effects are not that green-specific to justify three . But this is so minor that it almost didn't justify the 30 seconds I needed to write this sentence. { viriss } viriss A very impactful card , little text but many posibilities for everyone. I understand your comparison with Kruphix, but I still think it should maybe cost as one mana just feels too low for such an impact. Although it doesn't really matter if on turn 1 or 2... yeah, I definately don't weight this feeling much. And as a little sidenote, if a card doesn't depict a person, a quote has always the quoted person beneath it. All in all, I like the amalgam of simplicity and possibilities it gives. { Daij_Djan } Daij_Djan Wow, a very nice card. It perfectly captures growth, mixing a global effect everyone can easily get benefits from with an effect that thrives on this easy access while also makes sure you can double down on with your own strategy. I especially like that this combination sails around the common, more or less big feel-bad global effects bring by often giving the opponent the first chance to get use of your own card. And also nice detail to not specify +1/+1 counters, further broadening Lagros' use. { FLAREdirector } FLAREdirector Oh yes, this can get out of hand very quickly. A powerful card every token deck wants, and your teammate doesn't even need to also play one. Also, Horse(Zebra?)-Cat! The only thing is that playing with tokens is not that common, which pushes the balance even without the built-in difference between the amount of extra your opponents and your teammates get. Also, small thing, quotes always have the quoted person beneath it if the card doesn't depict this person (although another line would squeeze the text too much). Nice flavour text (even though I would never see such a horse-cat as prey... but there are maniacs out there, for sure^^) { ameisenmeister } ameisenmeister Whou, very last-second (okay, last-three-minutes) entry, and what an entry! A green Tomorrow which always gives everyone something but where you can play around with to easily squeeze the best advantage out of it. Balanced card, cool effect and possibilities, especially as you can fetch better and better bigger creatures to further increase her use. I also like the flavour text by finely capturing Setessa's dualistic essence of a city within nature. {And the winner is....} Daij_Djan ! Followed closely by inferno390 and ameisenmeister . All of yours had very interesting effects, on their own and in combination, but yours has no flaws and is the smoothest. A balanced card which takes advantage of it's globalism while still being fair to everyone, and which is cool and broad to play with. Thanks, great job everyone!

Big thanks for the win - glad you liked my design
Updated the initial post with our recent new changes, btw. (Also there totally was a counting error once again )
And these are the new limits:
LIMIT #8: Did you ken? Your card makes or cares about tokens. LIMIT #56: It worked so well the first time! Your card uses a keyword that's only been used in ONE block before. (Thanks, marioware2!)
LIMIT #127: From Heliod's locker. Your card either uses Devotion or grants at least three devotion to any color. (Thanks, Daij_Djan!)
Well ok, that's not the most complicated combination we've had in the past

This was fun! I think these are reasonable costs. I reckon it's a colorshifted Fomori Nomad or a Stone Golem. There's probably still some deeply degenerate stuff you could pull off, though.
Big brain play: Misthollow Griffin. Play the griffin, it dies, eternalize it, play it from exile, rinse and repeat. And lord knows I'm very fond of Esper zombies.
EDIT: gateways7 Holy shit that's clever. Bravo.

One version with and one without reminder text. To be honest, I don't know if there is a general WotC policy to always print with the reminder text for each non-evergreen keyword or not. If you know it and it is indeed always printed with reminder text (at least all with Soulbond are), please feel free to judge the left card and it's squeezed nine lines of text.

I know they'll skip it on rare and mythics if it makes the card cleaner. But nine lines of text with reminder seems okay. Deadeye Navigator is pretty close and still has the reminder text. Were as Vizier of Many Faces would have too much text. Edit: we've seen 10 lines Angel of Sanctions and I think even up to 11 recently (but I can't remember the card name.)

(interestingly though is that both the Vizier (with added reminder text) and the Angel actually have 9 lines while the former doesn't have a reminder text and the latter has.)

Faunal Pod Artifact Imprint - Exile a creature card from your hand as ~ enters the battlefield. , : Create a token that is a copy of the exiled card. It has vanishing X in addition to its other abilities. Only use this ability if your devotion to the exiled card's colors is equal to or higher than X. X has to be the exiled card's converted mana cost and can't be 0.
