Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our five-hundred and thirty-third challenge! The winner of the "Pumpkin Prelude" poll was BunBunGun with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... VS? VS. VS! VS. You all know what it means. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

VS. as in Goblin vs. Elves, Elspeth vs. Tezzeret?
Or something like "Versus" in the context of a fighting game...?

| Kox and Eba, Twin-hatched Cheats A black, a red, and a green
Legendary Creature – Kobold Coward
Whenever Kox and Eba fight a creature you don’t control, you may have another creature you control join the fight. If that creature would survive, Kox and Eba gains indestructible until end of turn. (Each creature deals damage equal to its power distributed as its controller chooses among other creatures in the fight.)
Pay a black, a red, a green, a generic, and tap: Kox and Eba fight target creature you don’t control.
3/2
The card art is Two Kobolds by John Tendrick. It depicts Two Kobolds standing next to each other in fighting positions. |
The idea here is that Kox and Eba get a third critter to join any fight, and if you don't kill that critter first, they'll use it to prevent themselves from losing. You have to kill their cheat before you can kill them.
I could probably get away wit this being a non-legendary creature, if only I could be cured from my incurrable need to name all my cards with real, specific names.

Here's my entry for the weekly challenge. I like to revisit old keyword concepts from old sets that aren't used anymore (There's often a good reason why they're not used anymore.)Design process: When I first started designing what would be my entry I started to search for potential sources of inspiration in media and in things I know, some of you may be familiar with "Final Fantasy XIV", the MMO which recently had an expansion launch, and it was on this expansion that we got a new set of endgame fights as part of our traditional raid rotation titled: "The Arcadion" which is pretty much an anime tournament arc made into Final Fantasy, the fighters often cheat or use "illegal moves" during the match to try to win against our party, so I knew I wanted to design something related to that, something that depicts a "Feature Match" & "Fair/Unfair Fight".However, while chatting with some friends on Discord, someone brought up the scene from "Daredevil" where after choosing not to lose the fight, Matt Murdock's dad is assassinated by one of the involved parties, which also went into part of the design, which made me think about what surrounds an actual boxing match (or any kind of duel) as there's always a 3rd party interested in the outcome of the match, and many are willing to bend or outright break ethical boundaries to achieve the desired results, and often lash out in anger when even after their meddling, this 3rd party doesn't get the desired result. So now we had three concepts that flowed together and should fit into a card: 1.- "Feature Match" (Two creatures fight) 2.- "Fair/Unfair Fight" (Creatures lose all abilites, hence, their advantages) 3.- "Rigging & Consequences" (The match can be rigged with enough treasure, however, even if the match doesn't end in a K.O. both creatures are still vulnerable after the fight, trading blows weakens anyone and lowers their guard outside the ring.)
So here it is, my entry for #533. Hope you enjoyed it!

Race across Sergovinia Battle-Race (Any player may attack and/or protect this battle. When it's defeated, that player exile it and cast it transformed under that's player control) Creatures get +2/+2. Diminution legionaire Creature-Angel Creatures you control get +2/+2 creatures your opponent control get -2/-2, this effect can't reduce a creature toughness below 1. after the invasion, magic was developed to even out the playing field2/2 Attachments:
