Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our five-hundred and fourteenth challenge! The winner of the "Limited Designs: Within the Universes Beyond" poll was vizionarius with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... I moved a week ago and am finally getting time to start unboxing everything. In 'celebration' of such a fun activity, let's make a design that have to do with something getting unboxed, revealed, moved, gifted, surprised, etc. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Catching people by surprise is pretty much the modus operandi of mimics. Also going a little metaphorical with other players gifting you the creature's keywords, power and toughness.

Power and toughness picks aren't required by how you currently have it Indeed they aren’t. If power or toughness aren’t picked it just defaults to 0 since it’s not changed.

viriss : What happens if a Human is revealed? Because mutate specifically says "non-Human". Bargaining Beeble Creature--Beeble Rogue When Bargaining Beeble enters, for each player, create a Hard Bargain token, then that player gains control of that token. (They’re colorless artifact enchantments with “, Pay 15 life, , Sacrifice this permanent: You draw two cards and gain 10 life.”)Bargaining Beeble can’t be blocked as long as defending player controls a permanent they don’t own. 4/3

sdfkjgh I could be wrong, but my understanding of the rules is that you do what the card says, regardless of other factors, as this is a "specific" case that trumps the "general" Mutate rule. Like with Biomancer's Familiar. Edit: Though adding similar phrasing, ie, "that creature mutates as though it weren't human" or something similar, may be required.

I think you can just use merge mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Merge

Suspicious Windfall Enchantment At the beginning of each end step, if no lands were played this turn, you lose 1 life and create a Treasure token. Noncreature Treasures you control have “ : This Treasure becomes a Shapeshifter artifact creature with base power and toughness 3/3 until end of turn.” ----- It turns your Treasures into Mimics! Inspired by opening a garage with a bunch of boxes I wish I had NOT opened...

Late to the party again - but after catching up with everything in real life (and then honestly taking a few days off), I'll finally get into things here again as well. Time to look at the other contests again - and I know one very special group I've left waiting for far too long already.. But that's for tomorrow - today is CotW stuff!
For my own entry, I'll use my old Discover mechanic on a potential commander for once - maybe as a last goodbye even if it's really hard to " kill this darling" xD
This thread is now closed, the poll can be found here. And here's the next challenge!
