I got Fellwar Stone, and how the hell do you improve on such perfection?! Can I reroll? EDIT: After several tries of rerolling (can we all agree that The Dark was just godawful?), I finally hit upon Runesword[/url]:  Runesword  Artifact--Equipment  Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has vigilance, haste, and aggressor.  So... this has major changes when one compares it to the original card. The color shifts fits the feel of the card (and the pre-existing trample) more. The overall power has been increased to fit the current creature power creep. The complicated +X/+X buff based on an opposing land type has been shifted to a +X/+0 buff (to be more consisted with  ) and has been expanded to include both the opposing land types. The flavor text is fourth-wall breaking, as  is one of the most common color combinations for control decks. |

My card is Witch HunterI figured bouncing a creature to hand is more blue's wheelhouse now, and we've seen "non-human" be a way to represent monsters in both innistrad and ikoria.  |

My card was Whippoorwill (Scryfall link). List of changes: - Mandatory: Uncommon to Rare
- Color change: Felt that this kind of "target creature can't protect itself" effect was more red than green
- Addition of Flying: It's a damn bird!
- Addition of haste, reduced activation cost: Seems fine for a 2023 rare
- Anti-damage prevention & regeneration -> Anti-indestructible & protection: Those are more-often printed abilities these days that are analogues to that
- Exiling dying creature clause: Replacement is more common these days

I got Fellwar Stone, and how the hell do you improve on such perfection?! Can I reroll? The modern interpretation doesn't have to be an improvement. As far as I know, WOTC nowadays refuses to print good 2-mana rocks and always print colored mana rocks starting at 3. Or, you know, you can make it 0 mana and grant it abilities to make Karn-structs and tutor for Mana Vault. Because why not? |

So my card was R iptide As per the rules: -upgraded to uncommon -added a little more versatility to the initial effect to make it more fit both for uncommon and modern use -Increased cost because such a wide effect could not cost only 1 mana |

 The original was Nameless RaceI left the color-checking behind, and the counting living creatures, but kept most of the rest. Trample would've pushed this into a higher rarity as well, so that's gone. I checked Drakestown Forgotten, Rhizome Lurcher and Undergrowth Scavenger for what would be a proper cost, and I went with one mana less than Undergrowth Scavenger because of the lifeloss but having pretty much the same ability besides that. |

damyers You may vote even if you didn't join in the contest.
t2stonerain I suggest you to change the wording to "..and can't have or gain those abilities..." in order to follow the Archetypes wording and completely prevent the obtaining of protection and indestructible.

 I remember I had gotten this card when I opened my first starter set. I was surprised by the name Rock Sled and then impressed by the abilities for all of them were synthesizing with the flavor of Rock Sled. scryfall.com/card/drk/67/goblin-rock-sled |
