Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our four-hundred and forty-first challenge! The winner of the "Nom de Sticker" poll was vizionarius with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... Since I'm showing my girlfriend around where I grew up this week (Brooklyn, NY in my case... immigrant life), I'm inspired to ask for some cards that have something to do with a fond childhood memory you had. Lets keep it to memories before you turned 13. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Firefly populations have been dropping in my area which is very sad, they're beautiful and I remember seeing hundreds of them on summer nights when I was a kid.

I wanted to make my own game but I didn't have my computer. ( though I don't think I could even if I had it ) So I wrote some play guides for imaginary games including weapon list, monster list, spell list and world map. Most of them are filled with copies from existing games with very minor change like acts three times, changing name, give weapons or boss monsters an ATK value higher than ones in existing games. There was no ( or, barely slight ) creativity though I felt I was very creative.

The first time I encountered a magic card was one time when I was between 5 and 7, and I happened to catch my uncle putting some magic cards into a closet. He's always been a carefree guy and I've always been pretty curious, so when he saw me interested in the cards, he offered some to me (it was random stuff he didn't put away yet, but kid me's mind was blown). That first card I saw was Fangren Hunter. I would go on to start "playing magic" with my siblings as we grew. Of course I was the only one who could read at the time and just barely, certainly nothing in English or italian, and we had barely a faint idea of what the rules were supposed to be. So we kind of just made up what seemed to make sense based on the art. We had fun, though we also often argued. The card I'm bringing today is kind of trying to capture that more kiddy way of playing: PS: But if you insist on seeing this through grown-up eyes, it is an ATM technically.

Do arcades follow all the same rules as Classes? I only ask because Class level abilities are additive, which mean that if Arcades follow those same rules, Level 2 and Level 3 would combine to drain 3. Is this intentional, or does Level 3 replace Level 2? Also, I used to play a lot of Metal Slug, and I'm a bit disappointed that there's no hostage rescue-simulating abilities, nor are there any secrets or even nested secrets.

So, this all ties together very nicely, I promise. I was lucky enough to watch Batman: the Animated Series when it first aired on TV. (I feed on your jealosy.) I was prolly 8 years old, a few days or weeks away from turning 9 at the time. So, I want you all to put yourselves in your nearly-nine-year-old selves, watching one particular episode. Fast forward almost exactly 30 years to the day, and I see the entire boxed set of BTAS at my local Target. Something so monumentally impactful to my childhood, there's no fucking way I'monna let it slip through my fingers. Unfortunately, I had no money at the time. Fortunately, it was very near the end of the month, so all I had to do was wait for the 1st, and my SSI payment, go back to Target, and hope the boxed set was still there. It was, I snapped up a copy, and just a few days ago, I finally got through everything it had to offer. Show still holds up as one of the greatest shows ever. But I'm getting a little sidetracked. I know, I know, "You? Never!" While Teferi's in the hospital recovering from a massive stroke, and Ral's keeping a constant vigil, I'monnahafta provide my own self-snark. Anyway, when I rewatched that one particular episode, especially when it got to that one particular scene (and those of you who've seen it know exactly what I'm talking about...), I was both young Bruce, adult Bruce, young me, AND adult me. It was a fractal of nostalgia 2, and it felt like how a Hitchcock zoom looks. I was even eating popcorn at the time! Just imagine yourselves, 8, almost 9, watching this for the first time, loving it, but not really getting the full impact of the episode's deeper themes. Then, 30 years later, you rewatch it, and suddenly, you know. And now, with the death of Kevin Conroy, my Bat is forever silenced. Anyway, sorry for the mood whiplash, have a card: Arkham AsylumLegendary Land As Arkham Asylum enters the battlefield, you may discard a card. If you don’t, it enters the battlefield tapped. , Discard a card: Add two mana in any combination of colors. Madness enabler, let's gooooo!!!

sdfkjgh a) Arcade follows the rule of Saga, where you advance to the next level upon activation, as is explained in the first reminder text. Since it simulates the different levels of the game, it's not cumulative. By the way, the coin counter is supposed to be represented by a unique symbol like or the new tickets if it will be officially printed, so the Coin part can be easier to comprehend. b) I tried to make it more like "for each level, complete a quest for a reward" which included the famous rescue mission featured in MS series, but I encountered a problem that happens in Magic card which is text space. In my original draft, I designed an ability where each opponent creates a 0/2 hostage with a tagged-on ability that gives you some bonus, but it's too wordy. Of course, if there are suggestions of simpler realization of such abilities, I welcome any useful recommendations for improvements.

Lego Model Artifact : Put two brick counters on Lego Model. : Remove X brick counters from Lego Model. Search your library for an artifact card with mana value less than, or equal to X, reveal it and put it into your hand. Then shuffle.
Looks like Daij_Djan came up with a very similar idea 5 hours before I did. Though that's not gonna make me change mine. The choice of image for the card is not just some random model. It's a model I won in a contest held in celebration of Lego's 50 year anniversary.

Henshin Belt Artifact - Equipment (Silver Border) Equipped creature has " , Strike a pose and yell "Henshin!": Transform equipped creature." Whenever equipped creature would be dealt lethal damage or destroyed, you may destroy ~ instead. Equip This specifically references the original Kamen Rider, but inspiration was deliberately taken from games like Viewtiful Joe that deliberately reference the series. The second effect is meant to reference how the original titular Kamen Rider (Takeshi Hongo, played by Hiroshi Fujioka) had to stop being Kamen Rider for a while after getting into a motorcycle accident while filming for the show.

Based the costing on Wish. Is it intended that you can put Emrakul, the Aeons Torn onto the battlefield for 3 mana from your sideboard? Wish doesn't let you ignore paying mana cost so it seems like it'd make more sense if Invader from Space put the card into your hand.

sdfkjgh's reply made me think I should add a bit of context for the card. I went with my parents for an afternoon picnic nearby a lake. I spent 4 euros in bread from a vending machine to feed the ducks. It was a nice day.
sdfkjgh What a pretty song, it made me teary eyed.
sdfkjgh I didn't know that condition, thank you for telling me.

To be honest, never heard of this as well - and to quote from your own link:
This thread is now closed, the poll can be found here. And here's the next challenge!
