This set hasn't really been lighting up my D&D nostalgia very much; partly because I never played in the Forgotten Realms, but mostly because I've always been the Dungeon Master and not a player character. Here's my attempt to replicate those feelings

Resting at the Tavern Sorcery Draw a card. At the beginning of your next upkeep, venture into the dungeon. (Enter the first room or advance to the next room.)
Whenever you complete a dungeon, you may return ~ from your graveyard to your hand. There’s a reason so many adventures start this way.
Come on, how am I the first person to use the old "resting at a tavern between dungeons" thing? Well, crap. I was actually working on the exact same concept, with the exact same image, but couldn't finish last night. Now that it's done, somebody beat me to the punch (mine is very different, and white, but still the same concept). Alright, back to the drawing board I guess. I've played enough DnD, I should be able to come up with something else. I want to see your idea anyway

peasant railgun enchantment at the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay . if you do, create a 1/1 red peasant token. , sacrifice a artifact, tap 15 creatures you control: peasant railgun deals 50 damage to any target.

dangerousdice: Shouldn't yours say untapped?
Orion Rings: Yours goes infinite with itself. Last mode needs to add "another".

What does this have to do with dungeons? "DEEEP BREATH" It D&D jank, how the peasant cannon works is you recruit an entire town. what you then do is line them all in a single file, in the direction of what you need to destroy. have the person in front ready their action to throw something. everyone else behind them readies their actions to pass object (such as a boulder) to the person infront of them. depending on how many peasants you recuited you could have the line 1 mile 10 miles or longer. then you go to the back of the line, have the person in the back pass the boulder to the person in front, this sets off a chain reaction where everyone acts on the same turn. a turn being 6 seconds. this bolder is now moving X miles in 6 seconds which is enough to destroy practically anything.

Yeah but the contest is to make a card that uses the dungeon mechanic, not just a card that references D&D.
Also, and this is truly not important, but I never liked that the commoner railgun acted as if the object had no momentum right up until it suddenly does at the end of the cycle. If it can deal damage after the last commoner lets go then it can also deal damage to the commoners carrying it along the way.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was full on a joke and not a real submission. There wasn't even that much effort put into typing it, it doesn't have a rarity, it doesn't have a render, and it clearly has nothing to do with dungeons. Apologies if it is a real submission, but at that point, yeah it has nothing to do with dungeons unfortunately. I enjoyed the joke, however. dangerousdice

Rope Trick Enchantment When Rope Trick enters the battlefield, venture into the dungeon. If a Room ability of a dungeon you own would trigger, you may instead exile target creature you control until Rope Trick leaves the battlefield. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may sacrifice Rope Trick.
Basically, it converts rooms into "squirrel your dude away for a bit." Lots of shenanigans potential. I'm not 100% sure it technically works as written, but I'm pretty sure and it's pretty grokable either way.

It took me a while to find a good idea, but I finally did, so I'm getting this under the wire. Meet every paladin's worst nightmare: the rust monster. Design Notes: So here, the flavor is simple: either you give the rust monster some delicious metal object to snack on, or it nibbles on you instead. At first I had it only trigger when opponents entered the dungeon, but then I figured having it trigger on you as well would probably inspire a few Johnny/Jenny to build some weird engine that wants you to sacrifice artifacts. Finally, I gave it menace to beef it up a little more to make up for the added downside. As always, not a developer/play designer, so my costing may be way off!
And because some people asked for it, here is the first card I designed for the contest but decided to scrap since quazerflame beat me to the punch with the concept/image. {Spoiler} Feedback is always welcome!

As I've come to learn with challenges I set, I end up holding my own submissions to very high standards. So this is coming in just under the wire and is my 7th design concept for this challenge XD

Jartis Two of these on opposite sides of the table are potentially an endless loop. Not EXACTLY such, though, because there are dungeon rooms that can kill creatures.

yeah, it was a joke. should I delete it? Nah, it's fine. Funny design, I did not know the concept (played other P&P games, but never DnD in particular) - sounds like a glitch in the DnD matrix
This thread is now closed, the poll can be found here. And here's the next challenge!
