Dieule straightens itself out after missing Troischa, and fires three small containers at the limbs approaching it from a barrel at its front. The quarter-sized cartridges attach themselves to Troischa's glowing limbs before firing off rocket fuel to the sides, finishing their bursts as Troischa's limbs hit the ground around Dieule.
Wiry Chaincutter: Having Phyrexian mana in the activation cost but regular colored mana in the casting cost feels off to me, especially when that's the only ability on the card. I'll grant it's much less ugly than a naturalize would be, but it still doesn't feel like it's making great use of the mechanic. 7/10.
The limbs detach from Troischa's chassis as the cartridges hit them, clawing at the ground in an attempt to slow their momentum and crawl back toward Dieule. She twists in midair, her one remaining limb coiling into a spring beneath her to soften her fall. Her landing is accompanied by a series of rapid clicks, as what might be her chest opens up to reveal a deep cylindrical pit that hums with radiance: a dim red glow that grows to blinding white in a fraction of a second, moving slower than light should but still much too fast to grant even a moment's hesitation to anything in its path.
Scouring Beam Instant ~ deals 2 damage to any target. If an artifact creature is dealt damage this way, exile it.
The wave engulfs the freed faerie, knocking her back. Her wings quickly buzz, throwing off the oil from them, and she flees from the tendrils and the fight completely. Alga flies up, the oil wave barely touching her leg as she goes to join the aggressor faerie. Together, the two try to pull the trapped faerie free, and will quickly follow the fleeing faerie if they do.
Briar sneered at the machine and her own fleeing soldiers. She wouldn't be able to win this battle alone, but she wasn't going out without one final blow...
Faerie dust gathered again, this time a very dark color, forming around her like a storm cloud. She flies higher as she chants.
"I call on judgement from the throne,
To strike down forces yet unknown,
Let living flesh, cold steel, and bone,
Be step by step, turned back to stone!"
// At the final word, the collected dust surges for Dieule, if they're still here. If the curse works, Dieule will be very slowly turned to stone. Or perhaps it will backfire and only make
the machine even tougher...
The Fae Queen's Curse
Legendary Enchantment - Aura Curse
Whenever enchanted player casts a spell, put a curse counter on The Fae Queen's Curse. Then that player loses X life unless they pay , where X is the number of curse counters on The Fae Queen's Curse.
, Discard three cards: Destroy The Fae Queen's Curse. Any player may activate this ability.
that can go as fast or slow or be worked around (or just plain dodged) as you like. is based on an actual disease where your muscles and other tissue slowly turns to bone over time. Overdrive Core - looks good 8/10
I'm so sorry, I thought I replied to this
The Fae Queen's Curse: 9/10. I want the removal cost to be less mana, but other than that I like it.
Dieule looks on as they allow the faeries to escape, and faces Briar as she recites the spell. "My chassis is warm enough." Dieule directs oil from the ground around them and fires it towards the dust, creating a large, oilball-shaped rock that falls to the ground almost dangerously close to Dieule, as remaining specks of dust fall and create tiny patches of rock out of the oil and grass.
"I would recommend joining your allies for now. I am sure we will meet again, Ms. Faerie." Whether or not Briar leaves, Dieule begins to retreat into the forest.
Mindless Drone Creature - Spawn As long as you have one or less cards in your hand, Mindless Drone gets +3/+2. 2/3
*The idea being that I pay 3 and discard 3 cards to be at or under 1 card in hand
