Portal Ninja: 9/10. k but why is it flash instead of ninjitsu Atlani heard the first portal. She turned, and prepared to block. She was not expecting the second portal. She took the hit, and stepped back. "An amusing trick. Let us see if I can come up with anything as creative."The air around her began to crackle, as she spun around to deliver another kick, this time following through into a punch, her foot and fist coated in lightning. Frontline Shockfist Creature - Human Wizard Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, ~ gets +2/+0 and gains trample until end of turn. 1/3 “Sure, the gloves are heavy, but put some charge in there and you’ll be punching hard enough to level a building.”
Calling for Aid for Shock, to kill the Faerie, or buff the Shockfist so that it can kill the Faerie (just trying to flesh out my ninjas, I think they need some more versatility) Frontline Shockfist: I like it overall. I feel like wizards don't usually end up trading blows, but I suppose that is explained with the name Frontline, so I like that too. sooo 10/10Arc twisted away from the crackling energy, blinking out of existence dodging the flurry and back instantly only 10 feet away with his rotating momentum preserved. He seemed to land as if on a vertical wall... but there was nothing there. He had created two more portals just beneath his feet the other sides of them were directly above the ground. Breathing out his breath clung in the air as the temperature unnaturally dropped. He scooped at the air, flicking his wrist as a blast of frigid air and shards of ice rained down in Atlani's direction. Within the cloud of stinging shards Arcanis also threw the blade that she had recently given him. He then leaped upwards high over her head. Arc never stood still when fighting. He constantly shifted looking for openings and blind spots. Stinging Frost Instant Tap target creature, it doesn't untap during it's controllers next untap step.

A little past a week into winter, Atlani is approached by the merchant once again, though what she offers this time is not poison, but an offer for work. "Madame, from what I recall, you are a hunter. I have something of an odd request: there are rumours of a machine that is taking care to evade any who approach it. It resembles a miniature metal carriage, about the size of a dictionary, or a small cat. I would like you to hunt it down and bring it to me, operable or not, but mostly intact. If that is agreeable work, we can move on to discussing payment, and I will give you the last region in which it was seen." Consider this a synergy piece, if Atlani is willing to play ball.Contract Hunter Creature — Human Rogue Whenever Contract Hunter or another creature dies, create a Treasure token. 1/4

Contract Hunter: 9/10. Very interesting. It's expensive, which I like in theory, but if you play this turn 5 then I think it will have a lot of trouble paying for itself. Atlani, dressed more heavily for the colder weather, considers the offer, trying to remember whether she had seen anything similar to the machine in question. "I have yet to see such a machine, but would be more than willing to hunt it down. Too many of the fun beasts hibernate."Financial Encouragement Instant Target creature gets +3/+1 until end of turn. Financial Encouragement — This is subpar enough that I wonder if it would be worth it at just R. Otherwise, I'm generally fond of Treasure payment checks. 7/10

Travelling Merchant: 8/10. It's very fun, it seems dangerous. I'm not sure how to rate giving people things, since depending on what you're giving, this seems either too good or meh. "Heh. Bag of Tricks: 10/10. The most interesting tutor I've ever seen. The cost is really good, and it makes me wonder what the most powerful one mana spells are. In his pervious life, allowing ones self to take any kind to damage from an enemies attack meant you would die, plain and simple. It's a really fun idea, but I'm not sure where it would fit well. Maybe with other dice-rolling synergy or madness. Upon hearing the sound, Atlani looks up from crafting new arrows, and follows the sound until she sees the drone. Well, what do you know? A machine that resembles a metal carriage the size of a small cat. Perhaps if I were to sneak up on it, I could simply pick it up.

Battle meant something different to Atlani than it did to Arc. In his pervious life, allowing ones self to take any kind to damage from an enemies attack meant you would die, plain and simple. The way she was fighting Atlani seemed to relish every attack and Arc realized that she was more proud of her wounds, as badges of honor. He wasn't sure how to bridge the gap between the two of their philosophies. Lightning crackled in the air as she started her attack. Fast-forward Instant Untap all permanents. Remove all damage from all creatures. End all continuous effects that would end before the end of the game. (These are effects that include timing statements such as "until end of turn") Fast-Forward: 5/10. I mean... sure... but I feel like this might as well be "Untap all permanents. End the turn." Which this is too cheap for. Atlani sensed Arc's displeasure, and cut off her approach, sliding to a halt, and sheathed her blade. "I believe we've shown off enough. Your portals and... whatever the healing was, are impressive, and you seem to be no stranger to trickery." She took a couple steps back and sat on a stump, examining the ring he had given her in one hand, and using the other to magically heal her wounds. "As for this 'alliance,' is there anyone else involved I should know about? Any other 'local powers' you've tested?"
Unyielding Duelist
Creature - Human Warrior You may choose to not untap ~ during your untap step. , : Tap target creature. It doesn't untap during its controller's untap step for as long as ~ remains tapped.
Guess I kinda did this defense in reverse, in that I made a card that is countered by your card. I stand by it for flavor reasons tho

Erratic Signal: 9/10.
Being unused to the snow, and figuring that walking on the snow would be too noisy, she casts a limited flight spell on herself, using it to quietly jump up a tree, and follows the machine from above, gliding through the air from branch to branch. Aerial Shockhunter
Creature - Human Wizard Whenever you draw your second card each turn, ~ gets +1/+0 and gains flying until end of turn. 2/2
The flavor of what Atlani's doing is white, but the card draw synergy is red The drone makes no effort to stop from being picked up, save for repeating its message as Atlani draws near.
It seems that even in light snow, the device was quite easy to capture. Perhaps this is the wrong one?
Seed of Doubt Artifact As Seed of Doubt enters the battlefield, choose a card type. Spells of the chosen type cost more to cast. Aerial Shockhunter - 9/10

Seed of Doubt: 10/10. I bet the seed itself would have some cool lore. Hm. This can't be it, can it? That might be an insult to Lettie if I were to come back with this, surely she could've caught it.
"Where are your friends, little thing?" Atlani mutters to herself as she looks around for signs of other drones. Determined Smith
Creature - Human Artificer Artifact spells you cast cost less to cast. This effect can't reduce a cost to less than one mana. 2/2

Creature - Human Artificer Artifact spells you cast cost less to cast. This effect can't reduce a cost to less than one mana. 2/2 As Atlani looks around, she will occasionally hear the whirr of another drone just at the edge of hearing, and on investigating may find a similar set of tracks to the original drone, though tracks that abruptly stop after a short distance.
Eventually she comes to a much longer tracks that cuts in front of her path. The track is a little different, as if the drone that made it was heavier with bigger wheels, if she would notice such a thing. It stretches out as far as she can see in either direction. If Atlani is particularly good at tracking, she may be able to tell the direction they are going. Fork in the Road Artifact Whenever you cast a modal spell, scry X, where X is the number of modes chosen for that spell.

Fork in the Road: 9/10. Only a 9 because Modal tribal is not something I'm used to, and so I don't know how useful this would actually be. "Here they are..." she says after finding the larger tracks. While she is used to tracking, her quarry is usually some form of beast, and so she spends an almost embarrassing amount of time comparing the tracks on the ground to the tracks of the drone she's holding before heading off in what she believes to be the correct direction. Tracker's Map Artifact Whenever you scry one or more cards, you may reveal a creature card from among them and put it in your hand.

[4] Tracker's Map is a tricky one because in the right deck this will often just turn scrys into card draws, but if they cost mana 3 might be enough of a downpayment for that. let's say 8/10

U N H A N D M Y S P O I L S Experiment[4]: 9/10. I think that the more expensive cost makes the better ability worth it, plus that trigger is a good summary of what UB is all about. My only worry is that it might work too well lol Atlani dodges away from the large drone, gripping the smaller one tighter, and drawing her sword with her other hand. "You've caught nothing yet. Nytroglycerin Floor: 7/10. I get that it works because you might want the "restriction" in there, but I think if it's Glitch , then using Glitch is a weird choice. Like how having Kicker would be weird. Also the glitch cost here should be negative because if you're not paying it then you can deal way more than 2 damage. I hope the rat wasn't a con artist.
Atlani puts the drone in her hand behind her, recites the protective incantation she purchased from Zweil, and stabs the pellet, putting some distance between her and the center of the explosion. It definitely still hurt, and kicked up a cloud of snow. She took the moment where she assumed the machine couldn't see her and dashed towards it at a diagonal, aiming to cut its arm off.

Atlani's sword severed clean through the machine's shooting arm. The hollowed arm clatters to the ground, and a glistening black oil began to pour out of the bot where the cut had been made. Ichor Strike Instant Put X -1/-1 counters on target creature, where X is its toughness minus 1. Ichor Strike: 10/10. I should've come up with that and made Dieule use it. Atlani makes a note of the oil, but otherwise doesn't do anything about it, as she's too busy blocking the machine's sword arm. She continues to stay defensive, blocking and parrying further attacks, as she looks for a weak point, somewhere she can stab, slash, or shock to make the machine quit attacking. If she finds such a spot, a purple aura will begin to envelop Atlani and her blade, as she moves far faster than before to strike it much harder than anticipated. Power Strike Instant Target creature deals damage to another target creature equal to the number of counters on it.
