Lady Mapi Rudara could feel the smugness oozing off of Mattol, even as he was leaving the room. Sighing, she closed her eyes, and directed some of her minor annoyance to somewhere near him. He would get the message. In Mattol's current study, a leftover relic from the previous owner seemed snap, crack, and them crumble in white flame, the metal and scrap crumbling on the table. Written in the mix of ashes, metal shards, and searing into the table, there was a simple message for the man. "Don't waste my time." {Response Card - Ghostly Wrath} Impractical Tome Originally I thought this shut off lands, but reading it does nothing to basic lands, which is fine. It also reads as a replacement, and doesn't change anything that is cast or enters the battlefield after you cast it. Needs rewording, and the effect is basically kinda eh. 4/10 {Also at this point I think we can leave this hanging. I think we kinda wrapped up this bit.}

Parasign The dart whipped forward, easily sinking into the beasts flesh. The beast's eyes widened, before it quickly shut, and its heavy form fell to the ground with a thud. VIA was quick to change her approach, that much was certain. Another path was open to her, seemingly left in the wake of her previous foe. She would face little difficult making her way through the underbrush, no plant daring to strike her, before reaching the next clearing. Where the last one had been surrounded by walls of flora and vine, this one was surrounded by thick, tall trees, with bark that dared anything to try and scrape it off. And sitting, watching, almost a dozen large insects buzzed menacingly, their bodies glowing and giving off the scent of burnt metals and ozone. {Response Card - Sputtersprites} Tranquilizer Dart: Reminds me of the spellbomb cycle, but it's neat it focuses more on what you control than the mana you can use. More splashable, but it gives access to these effects more easily outside their colors. 7/10 mrlozano As both peddlers about to speak at once, another butts in, and a fourth, a fifth. It's beginning to get crowded here, and he can't even see the faces of the people attempting to pawn their amulets on him. A sixth, a seventh, an eight, and...he's definitely sinking. The tokens are flashed in his face. His mouth feels heavy, he can barely speak. 12th. 13th, 14th. He blinks for a moment, and before he can figure out what's happening... He's alone, but the market is gone. The ground beneath his feet is replaced with an iridescent sheen, and every surface is covered in a mirror showing an array of colors. His reflection is shown, several times over. {Response Card - Myriad Realm} Out of the corner of his eye, he spots something. The brazier, burning purple, almost blending into the alien landscape. Reveal Truths: This power has been messed with before, like Forsake the Worthy, so the speed is fine. The other ability is just addendum, which is points off for mimicing the effect without having it. 6/10

Looking to a myriad of yous can give vertigo to anyone. Still, he feels like he isn't getting something. "Innovation..." Forget Plan B. "Let's innovate. The other trials had the brazier as the goal..." Rixos turns over, and walks away from the purple fire.Uncertain Wanderer Creature - Vampire Lifelink When ~ enters the battlefield, you lose 4 life. 3/2 Myriad Realm: A card for Chaos? Sign me up. The second ability should say controllers, instead of owners and I think that the canon wording would be a little bit different but I'm not sure about that last bit. 8/10, seems fun, but could probably cost less.

"If her Emminence has decided you are worthy, then there's nothing I can say against her." She gave a weak smile, before gesturing to the building. "Inside, you'll be testing your mind and wits...but perhaps not how you'll be expecting to. I really can't say more. Good luck." // Karina tilts her head at the woman's continued shocked expressions
"Are you feeling okay? Maybe you need some help?"

Parasign VIA's new surroundings were similar to the one she had entered in. A simple, seemingly innocuous park. There were no beasts seeking to attack her, no plants blocking her way, she was simply in the middle of an ordinary clearing. ...With a large brazier with burning purple fire in the center. Gazing at the metallic figure from within the flame, two orange eyes pierced the blazing fire, seemingly staring straight through VIA. They were silent, as they seemed to judge them, before suddenly speaking. "Well done VIA. It seems you have more than just adapted. You have evolved." VIA's sensors would notice a sudden increase in mass, reading in one of her hands. "You first trial is over, but the next two shall require more of you than reflex and quick thinking. Seek the Trial of Ferocity and the Trial of Glory. Then, you will know the path to me." The flames quickly extinguished themselves, and the path from the park was visible once more. She had won, this time. {Response Card - Token of Adaptation } Flow of Passage: A better version of a lot of bounce spells, but it seems mostly fair. It's difficult to see a situation where you would never choose both, and thus it's a really good common no matter what. 6/10 mrlozano As Rixos begins to walk away from where he sees the brazier, the environment begins to shift. While the mirrored effect begins to fade, the ground and 'walls' begin to warp before his eyes. Rixos can see a strand of the wall that stretches out almost infinitely past the horizon of his sight, and the ground at his feet is beginning to tug his foot along with the stretching effect. The brazier, in this direction, is nowhere to be found, and walking away from it seems inadvisable. {Response Card - Hostile Reality} Uncertain Wanderer: Decent common, I like that it takes more than 1 turn to recoup, but god it sucks if this gets bolted. 6/10 cajun The woman, for the first time in the conversation, seems to respond somewhat...normally to her question. "It means...it means to work together to achieve a common goal between everyone in a group. You don't just work alone." The look she was giving seemed to be hopeful, that Karina would get what she was talking about. {Response Card - Impulsive Wilder} Gift of Ignorance: Interesting, seems fine. There's not much here I can comment on. 5/10

Several kilometres away from the city Rudara has taken over, the earth begins to tremble. It rises severely in height, creating a grass-covered mountain, then splits apart, letting water flow in. A being emerges from the breach, glistening as the seawater on its body is hit by the sunlight. Flexing. "OH YEAH! I JUST LOVE FJORDS!" The being climbs out and happily begins to walk towards the city. He glistens from the seawater, his steps are jolly and thunderous, and needles of permafrost are visible within his beard. "RUDARA? RUDARA? WHERE ARE YOU?", he guffaws.

Popcornia Token of Adaptation: Is the second ability meant to sacrifice? Even if it is, this seems really strong for uncommon, given a permanent instant-speed +3/+3 that cantrips is worth close to 5 mana in Limited all by itself, and this is a halfway-decent mana rock even without that ability. 8/10. VIA hesitantly places the token in her cloak. Wait… How did I…Complete the last two trials. Ask her yourself.Have we lost all Sanity? Three circles that must never be allowed to close. VIA looks around, disoriented by a sudden wave of déjà vu. What's next? Oh, right. Ferocity. You better have answers for me this time, 'R'.

Parasign The next trial was likewise situated in a forested area, but the new environment was far from the ordered, and cultured plant life of the park. Nature was not cultivated or manicured here, it was left wild, ironically in the heart of the city proper. Trees and disused buildings marked the landscape here, a surprising amount of land left unchecked to the desires of nature. There were no deceptions here either. Though far from the perimeter, the brazier was situated on the crest of a small hill. Littered around it were ruins, nests, and other signs this place had been controlled once. Once. The air here was tense, even those who did not breathe it would feel themselves on edge. {Response Card - Fury Within} Throne of Lost Wisdom: At this cost, no. Too cheap, even Urza's Tome doesn't let you get away with this for 3 without it being a specific card. Jayemdae Tome is a better baseline. 4/10 mrlozano The mirrors, ironically, gave little of anything new for Rixos to reflect on. They were a reflection of him, and a reflection of the world around him. The brazier, of course, was somewhere in the reflection, as he could see it, but he of course wasn't anywhere... Wait, there was a mirror almost adjacent to the brazier, and he was in it. Of course, it was just a reflection, so it wasn't as if he could walk a few more steps to the right and he'd actually be next to it. Right? Or perhaps it was something else? Here, the mirrors were in a sense, a barrier. If he walked closer, he'd inevitably be stopped by them. But what if it wasn't a mirror, what if it was...a window? If he walked through it, or perhaps destroyed it, he'd be in the same realm as the brazier. Perhaps it wasn't the original, but it would be enough. Innovation did require hard choices at times, and in a realm of mirrors, smashing one was likely one option with the greatest risk. {Response Card - Time to Reflect} Mirror of Secrets: Manalith is better, and common. Needs something else or be cheaper to be actually interesting. 2/10 cajun The workshop, like it's exterior suggested, was busy. From the number of gears and pipes and sounds, this place was definitely filled to the brim with machinery, which likely had some purpose. Observing more, it seemed to have been converted for one purpose. Across from the walkway Karina had entered on, there was the brazier, but it was unlit, and connected to an assortment of machines. And down below, there seemed to be other trial goers, or perhaps they were part of the trial, who were arguing. Two groups had formed, with their apparent leaders at the front of both. "We can't keep up with your instructions at the rate you give them. We'll be tired out trying to adjust to every little thing you need us to do!" the leader on the left spoke, the shorter of the two. "Well it won't work if it's not precise. The instructions specifically state it will only burn with these measurements." The taller one waved a paper in the shorter one's face. Both groups looked like they were nowhere near an agreement. {Response Card - Buzzing Workshop} Karina, Tempter of Fate: This type of effect is more common than I thought it was. Seems interesting, and I like the flavor of Karina daring the spell in question to target her, but this basically means a lot of nontargeting spells are off the books, even more if your opponent wouldn't use them on her. 6/10

Parasign It looked simple. In fact, the results VIA would get from her drones, would indicate that too. It was very simple. There was a monster in front of her, which she would already be able to tell by the earth suddenly splitting open, a massive insect digging it's way out from beneath. It was quite simple. There was a monster in her way to victory. If this was the trial of Ferocity, then she had better get furious. {Response Card - Percipient Strider} Sentry Halo: Nice. I like the simplicity of this, and it reminds me of Intruder Almar but not broken. 10/10mrlozano The mirror didn't budge. Innovation did not come easy. It required hard, direct choices. Such as smashing the mirror. As soon as Rixos's fist met with the mirror, the plane of glass in front of him shattered, bringing with it a rush of heat as he felt much closer to the brazier than he had before. Around him, however, the crack spread, more mirrors shattering, the sound of glass cracking and breaking almost reaching a deafening amount until... It was replaced with the sounds of the city, and the crackling of a brazier. Looking around, he was far from where he'd been standing before, hounded by the peddlers, who were nowhere in sight. In front of him was a completely normal brazier, in the middle of a square. And in his hand, scratched from breaking the glass, was a familiar, yet unexpected weight. {Response Card - Token of Innovation}
{You forgot to give me a rating on Time to Reflect} Glass-Weaver: No rarity, so assuming this is common. Worse Leonin Relic-Warder, but as a common it would be fine. 6/10 cajun The two leaders didn't even notice her, continuing on about their position in the argument, and refusing to budge an inch. One or two of members from either group noticed her, but kept their attention on the two leaders. ...An observant person would note the irony of this. Both sides needed each other, it seemed, to run the machinery, but both refused to acknowledge the needs of the other. Further more, their factionalism had driven them to elect leaders of their groups to represent them, and not act as a cohesive whole. The whole decision was being made by a single person each, and not the group, the opposite of solidarity. An unobservant person would notice that these two did not get along well. {Response Card - Perpetual Treachery} Intern Karina Oblay: Child labor laws aside, Karina has a weird ability tribal. Ability storm is new, but definitely easier or difficult to track based on what's setting it off. That 2nd should probably be a -2. 7/10 for a neat idea though.

He hanged the three medallions in his neck, put a small bandage around his hand, and started his last journey.Path of Ascension Enchantment At the beginning of combat in your turn, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control with the greatest power. Then, if that creature has four or more +1/+1 counters on it, sacrifice ~ and put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. Those creatures gain vigilance until end of turn. Untap all creatures that attacked this turn. After the next main phase, there is an additional an additional combat phase followed by an additional main phase. I know this is a slight bend on white but Waves of Aggression exists so... Time to Reflect was a 5/10. Token of Innovation: I have liked the token cycle to date, and this is no different. 8/10

Neottolemo Rudara made the slightest frown at the hyperactive giant, before raising a hand and speaking. The High Builders, it seemed, were not as exclusive as Rudara first percieved. "Calm yourself, Steirun."
Her voice echoed as she spoke. There would be restraint. There would be reflection. There would be a time to respond to all of his questions. But that required cooperation.{Response Card - Dictate of Restraint}
{Oh, rip, I thought the City card went on upkeep, not on end of turn. Not timing I would use though, but Lighthouse Chronologist exists so...eh. Bump up to 5/10. Witness the Structures: Seems decent, green gets this stuff for creatures and lands, izzet for instants and sorceries. I like it. 8/10 "ALRIGHT! . . . SEE? I'M TOTALLY CALM! . . . WHAT NOW?"
Patient Giant Creature - Giant CARDNAME can't attack unless you gained life this turn.

Parasign The creature, as expected, was unaware of VIA's trickery, and stepped forward into the trap. As unexpected, the plan didn't entirely work. Despite the wire being thinner than thin and sharper than hell, the wire only managed to slice part way into one of the monsters legs, the rest simply breaking the tension the strand had as it stepped forward, approaching VIA all the while. It seemed mere trickery were not put down this beast. {Response Card - Fire of the Soul} Razor Tripwire: The only thing I can find comparable in cost to this is Leonin Bladetrap, which mercs everything for 2 instead of one thing for sure. It's probably fine. 8/10 mrlozano The direction for the journey was quite simple. Up. Rixos watched others go about their business, whether related to the trials or not, as he ascended to the top of the city. Some passed him by without caring, others had varying reactions to the displayed medallions. But he was otherwise able to continue on his way. And continuing...and continuing...and... It seemed the top of the city was very far indeed. {Response Card - Wavering Wanderer} Path of Ascension: This should have it put the counter on the smallest creature you control, ala Bolster or Mentor. White rarely gets extra combat phases, and it's usually in Boros. Finest Hour also exist, so I guess the verdict is it gets it with other colors? 6/10 Neottolemo Rudara raised a brow at the giant, before giving a short sigh. So impatient. She hoped the rest of the High Builders were more like Lei Koen. More reasonably, if likely as cryptic as she was. "Now, you will move your structures somewhere away from my city. You will not build near my city. You will not build in my city. Then, perhaps you might see what I am capable of." It seemed Rudara, rightfully so, was very insistent that Steirnum not interfere with her domain. Given his size and eccentricity, and her aura of order and perfection, it wasn't surprising. {Response Card - Blessings of Patience}
{Forgot a rating for Dictate of Restraint} Patient Giant: Ah yes, a classic white common that can't attack unless you fulfill a clause. I think unable to attack alone is good enough, as lifegain usually is a bit more hard to get consistently, but it's likely fine as is. 7/10

The two leaders didn't even notice her, continuing on about their position in the argument, and refusing to budge an inch. // Karina frowns at the two, the wanders over to one of the few that noticed her
"So... what are we doing? I don't think we're ever gonna finish this if we just watch them yell at each other."Appeal to Cooperation Sorcery Any number of target players may create a 1/1 white Human Soldier creature token. For each player that does, create a 1/1 white Human Soldier creature token.
(yes this is a worst-case Servo Exhibition) Perpetual Treachery - odd that this shoots you in the foot. 7/10

It seemed the top of the city was very far indeed. {Response Card - Wavering Wanderer} After some walking minutes Rixos realizes he isn't much nearer to his destination. He looks around, looking for another brazier, in case this is another trial, but sees another preacher of the dodess. He approaches the woman. "Good afternoon, my lady." Rixos ensures himself that the woman can see his three tokens. "I completed the three trials, and I wanted to know if our godess wants anything more from me." Rixos puts his best face of pious and devout man, which is very convincing, he has practice. "If not, whats the path to the peak of the city? It seems extremely large." Rixos realizes that a religious person would never say that. "But not larger than my faith." Saved. Kind of.Rixos, Lost Merchant Legendary Planeswalker - Rixos Whenever you cast a spell, each opponent loses 1 life and you gain that much life. : Target creature gains flying until end of turn. Wavering Wanderer: This is a break in red and a break in white. It should be in green-blue, or have at least green. It interacts nicely with my card, but I'm giving it a 4/10 (if it has a precedent and is not a break, tell me).

Popcornia Flame of the Soul: Not sure how to gauge this card's power, though I would guess it's useful but not broken in an aggressive go-wide deck. I think "any target you don't control" is more confusing than it's worth, given "any target" is the same 99% of the time. I like the last-ditch option to sacrifice it for a bolt. 9/10.No no no it's still coming what do I do ferocity, VI shut up I'm trying to think you're still holding back I'm out of weapons it's called a spark for a reason why can't I just USE IT{REIGNITE} She braces herself for impact.The fifth circle has closed. Her wings no longer work, and her connection to VI has been severed. For the first time in a thousand years, she has no idea what happens next.Her flesh crumples against the earth. Her mind buckles beneath the contingencies just starting to unfold.VIA has spent 1 Skill Point to unlock red mana!VIA has spent 1 Skill Point to unlock Instants!VIA also spends 1 mana to Call for Aid for a Lightning Bolt (M10), and casts it from exile targeting the insect. VIA's shell crackles with electricity. An ionized stream of air arcs from her outstretched palms, and lightning courses through the beast.

I think unable to attack alone is good enough, as lifegain usually is a bit more hard to get consistently, but it's likely fine as is. 7/10 Dictate of Restraint: This has a feel to it. See Spirit of the Labyrinth and Aven Mindcensor. That said, it's not totally unexplainable in , especially with that last ability. The balance seems about right 7/10 Blessing of Patience: Lifegain may be weak but that's way too much of it imo. Consider making the second ability "you gain 2 life if you control a creature with a +1/+1 counter on it", or a costly activated ability instead of a triggered one. 5/10
"THAT COUNTS AS NEAR!? SORRY, RUDARA! I HADN'T REALISED! I'LL MOVE IT! RIGHT NOW!" The fjord begins to slide away, seemingly on its own, and grows farther and farther until it cannot be seen over the horizon.
"IS THAT TOO FAR AWAY? AH, NEVERMIND! I'M READY TO SEE!"
Steirun's Strength Instant Return target permanent to its owner's hand. If it's a land, its controller draws a card.
EDIT - Raised Dictate of Restraint's rating to 7.

Neottolemo Rudara did not comment on the distance of the newly formed landmass, deciding anywhere but where it had been before was good enough for her. Now, as for her 'building'... " It would be in the best interest of the mortals nearby that I don't exert my abilities for entertainment, Steirun," she answered, already the giant was wearing on her patience once more. "However, the remnants of a former concept are available for viewing." Without waiting for an answer, Rudara snapped one of her fingers, taking her to a nearby cliff overlooking her latest attempts at her own 'building.' She did not teleport the giant with her, but she had left a small vision for him to follow, given he already had the power to appear where he wished at will. At the level of the cliff was a series of massive floating landmasses, each with varying amounts of vegetation and of varying types and shapes. They were unpopulated however, left for animals to navigate to and from the varying ecospheres she had created on a whim. What was she planning here? {Response Card - Floating Microcosm } Steirun's Strength: I like this card, mostly because it reminds me of a dumb mono-blue bounce deck that did exactly what this card encourages you not to do. 10/10

cajun One of the workers turned to her, evidently uninterested in hearing what the quickly devolving argument entailed. "Well, we're standing her till we figure out what to do. Those two have everyone picking sides, and neither is eager to give up to the other's demands." The worker, old, yet still carrying themselves with pride, glanced back at the much younger men who were in charge. "They both understand they can't get anything done without the other, but they don't care, long as they get what they want." {Response Card - Spurn All Attempts} Spurn All Attempts - Enchantment - Rare If a spell or ability an opponent chooses would have you choose to activate an effect, choose not to activate that effect. Whenever you do, draw two cards, then discard a card. Each opponent loses 2 life. Appeal to Cooperation: Like Tempt with Vengeance but smaller and less crazy. Not a fan of effects that rely on your opponent's choice, most of the time. Kinda of alright though I suppose, it does edge out many effects at this cost sometimes. 5/10 Parasign The creature roared as lightning coursed through it's body, the sound of snapping bones and carapace reverberating across the field as it was torn apart, before it actually was torn into two[/card], the bisected beast falling to the ground, the air filled with the stench of burnt meat and hot gas. The beast was...definitely dead."So there is a fire within you it seems." Spoke a familiar voice. The brazier was far from VIA, but the voice sounded as if it was right next to her. "In the moment of danger, you relied not on logic, facts, or knowledge, but instinct, a fire to unleash everything you had in you. More person than machine, it would seem."
"It would seem you have passed."{Response Card - Trial of Ferocity}The brazier burned bright upon the hill ahead, nothing more was in her path. Spark of Insight: Could probably read as life lost, given as read it would sucker you out from decks that focus on life loss effects over damage. I like it though, it definitely feels like a last-ditch card Red is known for, and could probably use a rarity bump. 9/10 mrlozano The woman looked at him oddly at first, and than to his collection of tokens. His odd behavior didn't seem to phase her, once he had finished explaining she smiled, nodding her head. "Ah, you must be one of the first. Her Emminence is likely waiting for the right moment to let you continue on your journey." She opened her mouth to add something else, but her eyes picked up on something behind Rixos, before quickly returning to his. "Perhaps you might try again? I'm sure she is ready for her one such as you to approach her in the flesh." {Response Card - Glimmer of Change} Glimmer of Change - Instant - Target creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn. If it deals combat damage to a player this turn, discard a card, then draw a card. She points to a path that Rixos would be sure wasn't there before leading conveniently in the direction of the highest building in the city. Rixos, Lost Merchant: Yeah these two effects don't sync at all, which is generally the baseline in what I look for in a walker design. The top is a weaker Kambal, Consul of Allocation except you trigger it (Which I like), and the minus should be stronger and be a -2 cost. More synergy required. 3/10

Popcornia Trial of Ferocity: I like how the abilities work together while still pulling in slightly different directions, and how it's a mini-overrun you might want to play before the last turn of the game. Should return to "it's owner's" hand rather than yours in case it gets stolen, but that's a minor concern. 9/10.
The brazier's flame, already bright, seems to grow ever more vivid as VIA approaches. The aroma of the insect's fried corpse greets her chemical sensors, and she feels something almost like hunger. She ascends the hill, savoring the heat of the brazier on her skin, and reaches out to take her promised reward.More person than machine, indeed. And soon, perhaps, more god than either...Sensation Module Artifact At the beginning of each end step, if a source you controlled dealt damage to a player this turn, put a charge counter on ~. Remove a charge counter from ~: Add .
