A more expansive punishment for spellcasting in Izzet is something I'm surprised hasn't already been done yet. Nice. Scapegoat Creature - Goat Whenever a cost or effect requires you to sacrifice a permanent, you may sacrifice ~ instead. (Even if it wouldn't be a proper sacrifice.)At the Beginning of your end step, if you sacrificed a non-Goat permanent this turn, return ~ to your hand from your graveyard. 0/1
Next: A card that punishes +1/+1 counters without removing them.

Up: That’s a neat design. It’s great flavor to just push the goat in front of whatever’s trying to sacrifice something. Counterstrike Sorcery This spell costs less for each +1/+1 counter on permanents your opponents control. Counterstrike deals X damage to target creature. Next: A card draw spell that costs 8 or more

Up: I really like that one. It's a nice fit for any set that has atheme around +1/+1 counters. I guess this would even be a . Accelerated Evolution Sorcery Put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control, then draw a card for each +1/+1 counter on creatures you control. Next: Show me a multicolored Lhurgoyf!

Up: Interesting take on that challenge. I'm a sucker for token strategies and +1/+1 counter strategies, and this looks great in both as a finisher kind of card. Not quite sure it's worth all that mana though. Solid 8/10 Warp Goyf Creature - Lhurgoyf Ingest (When this creature deals combat damage to a player, that player exiles the top card of their library.)Warp Goyf's power is equal to the number of cards in exile and its toughness is equal to the number of cards in exile plus 1. It flickers through space, feeding on the scraps of forgotten memories.*/*+1 Next: A card using (energy counters)

Up: While the concept is fine, it seems pretty weak on its own. It can't even fuel itself since its starting power is 0, preventing it from ingesting. I'd give it an alternative way to exile cards, unless it's in an exile-heavy set I suppose. Aether-Charged Railrider Artifact - Vehicle Crew 3 Trample Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, you get that many . Pay : ~ gets +1/+0 until end of turn. 3/3 Down: Make a common Angel, Sphinx, Demon, Dragon, or Hydra.

Up: That looks pretty strong. Something to be afraid of in limited at least. I like it. Sphinx Fledgling Creature - Sphinx Flying Whenever Sphinx Fledgling deals combat damage to a player, that player names a card, then reveals the top card of their library. If it isn’t the named card, they mill two cards. 2/2 I tried to make a "riddle" in a simple way and with a result that is bearable at common. Next: Insect tribal

Up: Fun common that works as both draft filler and a casual card to keep people invested in the game. Think this is set-ready. The Thousand Infestations Legendary Creature - Insect Poisonous 1. (Whenever a Sliver deals combat damage to a player, that player gets a poison counter. A player with ten or more poison counters loses the game.)Other Insects you control have poisonous 1. Whenever a player gets any number of counters, create a 1/1 green Insect creature token. 1/7 Next: Something that flips two coins.

Up: A very powerful (perhaps too powerful) reward for playing Insect tribal. I'm not sure if the triggered ability is worded exactly right, but I believe your intent is clear and serves to reign the power level in a bit. 9/10 Krark's Winning Hand Sorcery Shuffle the cards from your hand into your library, then flip two coins. If you win a flip, draw that many cards. If you win both flips, instead draw twice that many cards. Otherwise, draw a card. "If you think this one looks good, wait 'til you see my other hand!" —Krark, the Thumbless Next: Let's see a Magic card based off a card from a different card game—digital-only is fine, just make sure you specify it.

Up: Fun and chaotic. Just how I like it. Based on Bargains of Power and Protection Enchantment When Bargains of Power and Protection enters the battlefield, you may exile a land you control or a land card from your hand. , : Exile a land you control or a land card from your hand. Human creatures you control can block X additional creatures and have absorb X, where X is the number of cards exiled with Bargains of Power and Protection. Yes, it's an enchantment that taps. I'm sorry. Next: Shake it, shake it! (interpret as you wish)

Up: For its cost and rarity, it seems balanced enough to me. Extra blocks and damage prevention in exchange for extra lands (which white can provide with cards like Weathered Wayfarer) is a tempting, if risky, deal. A deck that runs it would surely need disenchant prevention such as Greater Auramancy to avoid sweating bullets whenever it's against , or .
I'm going for an Un-set card.
Creature - Giant Menace
Whenever Twerking Titan enters the battlefield or attacks, you may twerk. If you do, it deals 2 damage to each other creature without flying and each player. For the titan, a funny dance. For the villagers, a calamity.

Next: Design a black card that creates one or more food tokens.

Whelp, wonder how I missed this one. Up: absolutely cursed. This is the type of card that playing it would get you banned if you pop too hard. Maraleaf Poisoner A generic and two Black
Creature — Human Witch
When Maraleaf poisoner enters the battlefield, each player creates a food. If a player would gain life, they lose that much life instead. Two generic mana and tap: destroy target food. It's controller loses 3 life.
2/3

Next up: Mono-red ramp that doesn't create treasure.
Edit for Idea , The static ability on the card's actually been done three times, with slight variatons on the theme: Tainted Remedy, Rain of Gore, and False Cure. If there are more I'm not aware of them, but I could imagine new Elesh Norn or new Sheldred doing something in the 'you gain double life; your opponents lose life instead' category. We'll have to wait and see for that. Also I misremembered the activation cost for food (it's two, not three) so I've updated that; the idea of the third ability is to be able to 'activate' your opponents food for them, so yeah it should be a bit cheaper than it was, that's my bad.
The card overall is meant to fit best into a food heavy format or a format with a lot of incidental life gain, where it doesn't make cards strictly unplayable, but it does make your opponent feel like theyr playing death's shadow without the shadow. It's very much a card that doesn't work as stand alone, but could work given the right context to shine. What's important tho, is that it's a black card that makes one or more food tokens, so it meets the brief.

Next up: Mono-red ramp that doesn't create treasure. To be honest, this thing barely seems worth it for the 3 life. The opponent is not going to use the food token while she's around, and you need to pay 3 and tap her to essentially force crack their food token. It's too many resources spent on something which I feel many black creatures could do much more easily and at much lesser expense. Of course, that commentary is without counting the static, which is definitely powerful and unique enough for her to be at least a rare. That being said, I don't know if it really meets the point of the challenge. Next: A simic card unrelated to creatures (themes that are specifically meant to do something to/with creatures, such as +1/+1 counters, also not allowed).

Up: Nice flavor and the general idea is interesting. However, the wording is unclear, it could use some fixing. It should be "You may play an additional land on each of your turns.", "Whenever you play a land, if it wasn’t the first land you played this turn, sacrifice an untapped land at end of turn.", "Whenever a land is put into a graveyard" (Since it's not a replacement effect; I don't know then if you meant from the battlefield or in any case), "If it's a land card, you may put it into your hand. If you don’t put the card into your hand, put it on the bottom of your library.".
Flourishing Hydroponics Enchantment - Aura Enchant land When Flourishing Hydroponics enters the battlefield, draw a card.
Whenever enchanted land is tapped for mana, its controller adds an additional . "Life is always inspiring, even if it's born in a vat."
Next: Design a legendary creature card of a League of Legends champion of your choice.

pernicious: The card draw makes this look pretty strong compared to Dawn's Reflection/ Market Festival. I like that the added colors are a specific color to compensate. Totally has those Simic vibes. Life is inspiring especially if it's born in a vat. I have never played LoL, bus I like their cinematics and watched Arcane. So here is my take on a totally likeable mental unstable character: Jinx, Sadistic Genius Lengedary Creature - HUman Artificer Menace , , Pay 2 life: Choose target artifact. Its controller may sacrifice it. If they do, Jinx deals 2 damage to them. Otherwise gain control of that artifact. 3/2 I think it's only a matter of time until we see a LoL set from Wotc. Next: Make it rain cats and dogs!

2 mana guaranteed destruction or control of an artifact each turn at turn 4 seems a little busted to me. Other than that, the card seems pretty neat and in flavor!
Now, I don't usually repost cards I made, but this time the prompt was too perfectly fitting not to:

Up: I like the raindance keyword. The two spells' effects combine nicely and they're still useful if cast without fusing. Dogs is a bit too powerful, I'd reduce the dog tokens' P/T down to 2/2. The textboxes are a bit too wordy, I'd remove raindance's reminder text to improve the card's readability.
Mindreave (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, that player mills that many cards.)
Next: A card that wouldn't look out of place in an Ixalan set.

Up: Mindreave is cool and I really like the card's flavor. Cool effect overall- the 30 card trigger is interesting and it's nice finishing help for a mill deck. It looks like this would be the first Curse with an activated ability, which is ok but worth noting. My biggest issue is that it feels like this card would literally do nothing in many games because in my experience that threshold would not be regularly reached. I get it's but maybe if there was some real minor passive ability to represent the building dread or something. Cornered Threehorn Creature - Dinosaur "Triceratops hindquarters are vulnerable- and delicious- but good luck reaching them." - Azrok, gamekeeper5/2 Next: celebrate the Equinox
