So, I was reading this, when I got to the mention of Iconic Masters. I remembered the absolute debacle of that set including Tree of Redemption, and that got me thinking about its evil twin (but not Evil Twin, even though that'd be rather thematic), Tree of Perdition. I then had the idea to make this, with a stop over at Memory Jar to see if I could fix some of that card's mistakes: Tree of Cognition Creature--Plant Defender As Tree of Cognition enters the battlefield, exile all cards from your hand face down and draw that many cards. You may look at cards exiled by Tree of Cognition for as long as Tree of Cognition is on the battlefield. Tree of Cognition’s toughness is equal to twice the number of cards exiled by it.  : Exchange all cards in your hand with all cards exiled by Tree of Cognition. 0/* |

I came up with this one today while riding my bike to my psychiatrist, and wrote it out in the waiting room: Trin-Ket, Oversharer Legendary Artifact Creature--Pest Clue Food Treasure Whenever Trin-Ket, Oversharer enters or leaves the battlefield, you draw a card, gain 3 life, and add one mana of any color. At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, if Trin-Ket, Oversharer is in a graveyard, any player may pay any number of times. For each time a player does so, that player creates a nonlegendary token copy of Trin-Ket, Oversharer. 0/1 |

Jointly inspired what I made for Idea 's Picture into Card post and a character with no direction I've kind of got floating around without a plot on sdfkjgh 's group. It's not exactly the same character as either and more an experimental what-if combination of the two. The Broker  Planeswalker - Broker  : Put a -1/-1 counter on target creature.  : Transform ~. {-100}: Target opponent loses 100 life.  "I've got spice, scams, and nothing nice."///// The Face  Legendary Creature - Vampire Rogue (Fake - Imagine a mythic rarity symbol that's clearly been hastily painted over)Deathtouch, haste When ~ would be dealt lethal damage, instead remove all damage from it, transform it, and put ten loyalty counters on it. 3/1 "Got a moment, sugar?"Armed with an awful sense of humor and a enjoyment of making others perform despicable acts, the abstract eldritch horror known as "The Broker" travels the multiverse in search of things to ruin for their own enjoyment. "The Face" is an identity they take when they need to pass through in society - some might deride it as cliche and predictable, but "Have you seen the speed people fall head over head over heels for a pretty face?"Starting with the PW face as the front face is deliberate - it's meant to evoke the reaction of "How do I even get to that ultimate?" |
