Tom Tomat : First, welcome to the forums! Second, this one you've got here looks rather mono-  to me. Even nice, but the gimmick is hard to achieve. Plus, since it does practically nothing in vacuum, I don't think it's good for Limited. Would make it mythic, but then the exciting feeling of opening a mythic to get this... IDK, looks like a super-Johnny card and not worth the effort IMO. Back to the Homelands   Sorcery  Target player exiles his or her hand, opens a sealed Homelands booster pack and puts all the cards into their hand. (That player removes those cards from their deck before beginning a new game.)ERRATA: If that player doesn't own any Homelands booster pack, you have to provide one.

I'm making a prehistoric themed set ![]() and really came to like this design, but the colors are wrong and I don't think I'll have additional combat phases. Maybe I'll use this in a reworked form in some set at some point. I think you want this to get a static or triggered buff so it's not completely worthless, e.g., "At the beginning of each combat phase after the first, CARDNAME gets +3/+3 until end of turn." @gorgonzola - Keywording the Path of Bravery mechanic is problematic-- Wizards tends to discourage lifegain as a primary strategy because it slows down games, but it's also really easy for your cards with it to not meet the threshold without support. It's also not very exciting -- fateful hour was a whiff for much the same reasons. ~~~ Plowshare Program   Instant  This spell costs  less to cast if it targets a creature you control. Exile target creature. Its controller gains life equal to its power.

I've been playing Arena for the past 2 or 3 days, and I've found the shuffler to be somewhat malicious towards me. No amount of deck tweaking seems to change the frequency with which I get either manascrewed or manaflooded. This experience led me to create a card, but I was wondering if there was any way to simplify the wording so it didn't look like War and Peace:
Biosys, Gaea's Avatar       Legendary Creature--Avatar Incarnate  Eminence—As long as Biosys, Gaea’s Avatar is in the command zone, If a player would draw a card, they may instead choose land or nonland and reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a card of the chosen kind. That player puts that card into their hand and puts all other cards revealed this way on the bottom of their library in any order. Trample Biosys, Gaea’s Avatar’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of permanents you control. Of course, the way that I wrote it was:
Eminence--As long as CN is in the command zone, (Abundance for all players). Trample CN's p&t are each equal to the number of permanents you control. As long as CN is on the battlefield, (Abundance just for you).

You could cut a lot of text off this by having eminence work like it does on the canon cards, having the same effect both on the battlefield and in the command zone. You could also make the ability require  ?

I want there to be an incentive to having it on the battlefield, and that incentive is that the ability only works for you.

I know I'm a little early or late with this, but my experiences with the Arena shuffler have been less than stellar, as it always gives me the wrong card type in every clutch situation.

Warscape Poppies  Legendary Enchantment  Whenever a creature dies, its controller may reveal cards from the top of their library until they reveal a land card. If they do, that player puts that land card onto the battlefield tapped and the rest on the bottom of their library in a random order.

I noticed that Wizards of the Coast has yet to create an Attribute/Property of the Battlefield. As opposed to Characteristics, like Mana-cost, or Power and Toughness, or Name, Attributes and Properties are added on. These include a creature being Monstrous, or that a Player has Ascended. There's a lot more to it than that, but I'm simplifying it.
So, I wanted to create a card that cared about potential Attributes of the Battlefield.

Danger Room    Enchantment  If a player would leave the room, that player loses the game instead. At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player puts a dry counter on ~, then drinks a glass of water for each dry counter on ~. If that player can't, they lose the game.

Also it's kind of a bit of dick move to tag someone in something after they've literally told you that they aren't into that kind of thing, tbh. Lady Mapi : Keyword tribal as a concept is neat, but that GU archetype runs the risk of screwing with the color pie. I love Corona of Dread and Invoker of Panic, though. Taking a shot at some subtle flash support.` Flashpowder  Instant Remove target creature from combat and tap it. Whenever you cast a creature spell on an opponent's turn, you may exile Flashpowder from your graveyard. If you do, remove target creature from combat and tap it. It wasn't terrible actually. My larger problem is with menace tribal-- if you're going to pick a keyword to do tribal for, it's got to be one with backwards compatibility, like first strike or trample or something.

I thought of doing trample tribal, but menace called to me, and I answered. Besides, it'd make a good BR aggro archetype - throw in some red combat tricks, maybe a little removal and "whenever it deals combat damage" effects... FleurThose are some nice cards for flash tribal. Isn't flash supposed to be UG, though?

Fleur: Silvered Lightblade is a bit of a no-go for two reasons. 1)  is only supposed to be able to grant a maximum of +2/+2; 2) Primal Forcemage exists.

Stubborn Refutal   Instant  Counter target spell unless its controller pays  . If that player doesn't and a spell would be counter this way, exile it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard unless that player pays  . If they do, return that spell to its owner's hand instead.
