melono Just wanna point out, because it was mentioned in the judging, that the mana leaves your pool when your turn ends. Well, shit. I might be blind. Sorry about that. That makes your card totally playable and you can disregard that part of the judging.

Thanks!
So, this time, your task is to design a common card that uses at least two evergreen keywords.
Good luck!

A quick look through Scryfall says the going rate for a 2/2 with deathtouch is 3, and the going rate for an 0/3 defender is 1, so...compromise?

Creature -- Goblin Soldier Flash, First Strike 3/1
Inspired by Benalish Knight, but a bit more like a lightning bolt. "Armored Lightning" joke here.

Thanks for the win! The next challenge: Make a common or uncommon card that causes loss of life (!not damage!) to either the owner and/or opponent(s)

Master of the Rack Creature - Human Rogue At the beginning of each opponent’s upkeep, that player loses X life, where X is 3 minus the number of cards in their hand. 2/2

(I know that artwork technically is already used elsewhere and not the best fit for this card's flavor, but oh well Wasn't really able to find something better.)

Time for Judging! Thanks for making cards for the challenge last moment peeps, appreciate it. Jartis - A in itself fun card that works well with card discarding black decks (which aren't necessarily the most fun to play against). Fun for multiplayer, though card-discarding is often more single-opponent, so it won't be as effective in those games. gluestick248 - Not a necessarily very strong card, as it also sacrifices your own creature+lose life, so it might be a bit cheaper and perhaps a common imo. I like that it impacts life totals somewhat, for everyone in a multiplayer game. Daij_Djan - Great card for multiplayer. Playable enough in single player. I like how it gives amass according to life lost. It's also a very fun card for multiplayer, as it paints a large target on your head, as your annoy everyone with the lifeloss, and you have a big army in front of you. Sanfonier of the Night - A typically blue card, that now fits more in black due to the lifeloss. I like how it gives black a cheap way to go through their deck. Very strong, and fun enough to play, giving you more control over what you've got in your hand.

Big thanks for te win - glad you liked my entry Your next challenge is.. Choose a mechanic (new or old) and showcase it on a land card. (The mechanic doesn't have to be land exclusive) Can we adjust it at all? Like... instead of Landfall maybe have... Forestfall?

That's totally fine - there basically are no restrictions to the mechanic itself. It can be old, it can be new, it can be a twist or subsection (like the "Hexproof from" stuff) of an existing one.. Feel free to use whatever you like

Originally designed as a rare, then I remembered what the challenge was, so I upped the access cost for the ramp significantly. Still an exceptionally good T1 or T2 drop.

Shifting Terrain Land : Add Transfigure (, Sacrifice this land: Search your library for a land card and put that card onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library. Transfigure only as a sorcery.)I figured if a creature can get land exclusive keyword like hideaway (See the recently spoiled Watcher of Tomorrow), we can go the other way around.

Did someone say specific two color fixing? No? Oh well. {OLD} Bushfull MeadowLand - Plains ~ enters the battlefield tapped. Basic Forestcycling Phoneposting, so I'll add the rulestext and maybe render later.

Oh man, this is one of my favorite things. Burgeoning Woods Land - Forest Burgeoning Woods enters the battlefield tapped. Forecast - , Reveal Burgeoning Woods from your hand: You may play an additional land this turn. (Play this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn.)
EDIT: If I just read the thread title properly... Skeletal WoodsLand - Skeletal Woods enters the battlefield tapped. : Add or . Morbid - When Skeletal Woods enters the battlefield, untap it if a creature died this turn.

Shambling Wood
Land — Swamp (T: Add .)When Shambling Wood enters the battlefield, pay or sacrifice it.
I love land creatures, lands that make creatures, and so on. Way too much. This just seemed like the most logical place to go. Do wish Eternalize didn't force a 4/4, but my other option is Embalm and initial +1/+1s, which feels less clean. (And since it does make a 4/4 I want to make sure it isn't missed that the net cost ends up being 3BB.)

This challenge is now closed - please no further changes of entries!
Sorry for the delay. Sadly, my time to sit down and write stuff this week is much more restricted than expected – so to not stall this any further, I'll have to announce our winner for today. If you want any further feedback, just let me know and I'll come back to you over the next few days. {So our winner is..} melono, congratz to the win!

Thanks for the win! And seeing how terribly my last ymtc challenge went with lifeloss, there is a surefire way to have lots of people play!
Design me a common or uncommon that increases lifepoints! Your own or someone elses.
