Amidst all the chaos, a few bubbles float by Kirino and gently pop. Hyle's voice comes out from them, loud enough for Kirino to hear her, but quiet enough that the mountain's tumbling advance makes her words lost to the others' ears.
"Kirino. This is Hyle. I am sorry, Kirino. I harbour no grudge against you, and I am no assassin, but I am honour bound by an oath to attempt to kill you, once. If you survive my next attack, should you choose to spare me, my obligation towards Aylin shall count as fulfilled and I shall take no further part in this fight against you. Until then, as you humans say, it's sink or swim."
A rumble is heard below the ground, and a whirlpool breaks through the surface of the earth, becoming a powerful watery vortex that's threatening to draw Kirino, and anything nearby, inside it. Though not as impressive as Aylin's display of power, it might put a planeswalker who doesn't expect it in a pickle nonetheless.
Sorcery Return all nonland, non-Leviathan permanents to their owners' hands, then any number of target players each put the top X cards of their library into their graveyard, where X is the number of cards in that player's hand.

Monsters are people who think it's OK to be a monster. Lady Mapi : Being stealthy is one of the things Aylin despises the most. Usually she'd just jump into battle with a loud cry and throwing a devastating punch, but for this spell she actually needs to focus and spend some time. She's standing a few yards away from Kirino, enough to still see her but also enough for the empath to recognize her or what she's doing. As she finalizes channeling the spell, she clenches her fist in pure spite. It's showtime she thinks as she channels all her rage and throws a punch at the air.The earth begins to rumble as a gigantic wall of stone rises. It is as tall as a mountain and as thick as three trees. The wall shoots towards Kirino with unbelievable speed, shattering the earth as it moves and generating earthquakes all around. As it advances, it also shoots around loose stones haphazardly, creating a mini meteor shower to add to its destructive potential. Kirino will obviously see it coming, but she won't be able to do anything about it...
Trigger the Apocalypse Sorcery As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice X lands. ~ deals X damage to each creature and planeswalker target player controls. Exile the top X cards of your library, you may cast any number of cards from among them with converted mana cost X or less without paying their mana cost. notdaedalus Neottolemo WindyDelcarlo it begins! The surge of stone hits Kirino dead-center. She's dragged along with it, her doll-like frame dashed to pieces. Kirino is dead.
I am dead. I was killed by a child who is too trauma-struck to do anything but kill. This shall not be.Kirino has lost the ability to use Evoke! She has gained [Credo of the Ruler]! She doesn't seem too interested in dying anymore. The surge, the violence, my death... they've been discarded. They never happened. As for me... I bleed into this plane's mana. I have some children to free.
"Hello, kitten! It's nice to see that you've made some friends. Have you come to play?"Trigger the Apocalypse is a beefy, beefy monster of a spell. That's the mythic burn finisher that we've all be waiting for! Unfortunately, it has a little bit of a flaw - Someone Else's Problem - Instant - Exile target spell. "I'm sure they'd love your spell on Agahia, dearie. If it still existed, that is."- but other than that? Lovely! A 10/10! Fantastic show! Unfortunately, it left you without any lands to your name, so your response must be a land. Arina has placed herself a distance away, watching Kirino intently while Aylin's spell goes off.  If her sources were correct, Kirino should continue to be perfectly functional after this attack, and she wants a better understanding before making an attack about just how strong Kirino's defenses are.(Attacking against Kirino) Extended Surveillance  Sorcery  Draw two cards, then target player loses life equal to the number of cards you've drawn this turn. I turn and address Arina casually - her attention has given her away as if she were on fire. "As for you, Ms..." I check through my now-expanded memories (the beautiful tapestry of sentience is laid bare before me - I feast upon the threads), and smile. "Ah, Arina. You have history here, I see." I sniff at the air, and my smile breaks into a full-on grin. "Your daughter loves you very much, you know. You should be proud. It'd be a shame if something happened to her while you were away."Invitation to Ignorance - Instant - Whenever target player would draw one or more cards this turn, instead exile that many cards from the top of their library. That player may play cards exiled by Invitation to Ignorance this turn. "Permanence of memory is an illusion."Extended Surveillance is good stuff. It's a really good finisher for a draw-centered deck - heck, it can be a win condition on its own if you're playing it right. I'm giving it a 10/10 because it makes the Johnny side of me giggle. Oh, yeah, and your response has to involve Hannah in some way. It felt like the entire Arena shook as a fountain of rock erupted into the sky and came crashing back down. She had heard Aylin talking about it yesterday, even seen her meet with miss Nisita just after her, but it seemed everything was going to happen now. Okus cast her trusty distraction charm so no one would notice the little girl skipping off to join the mayhem. All in Due TimeOngoing Scheme
When you set this scheme in motion and at the beginning of your upkeep, draw a card for each player. When you cast a spell, abandon this scheme. (for clarity, joining the attack, not the defense) En route, the entire world seems to have gone insane. There's rioting in the streets, and the sky is heavy with thunderclouds. One of those clouds tosses out a sheathe of lightning, grounding itself on the distraction charm shielding Karina.Splinterthought - Instant - Splinterthought deals damage to any target equal to the number of cards your opponents have drawn this turn. "Careful, you might attract a brainstorm."Dang it! I was going to be the archenemy . More seriously, All in Due Time seems like a perfectly fair card for Archenemy... it's just that that name feels more like a counterspell than a card draw engine. A 8/10, still, but names are important for Schemes - you have to be able to loudly proclaim them with a smug look on your face! I don't have any particular demands for your response. Maybe when you actually get involved...
Until then, as you humans say, it's sink or swim." A rumble is heard below the ground, and a whirlpool breaks through the surface of the earth, becoming a powerful watery vortex that's threatening to draw Kirino, and anything nearby, inside it. Though not as impressive as Aylin's display of power, it might put a planeswalker who doesn't expect it in a pickle nonetheless.

"It's OK Hyle. I'm sorry, too. It would have been nice to be friends, I think - but I'm a bit beyond that now."
As the water crashes over me, joining the stone that was never there, I shrug and let it take me where it will. True freedom lets go, after all.Embrace The Void - Instant - Exile your hand. Whenever a card would be put into your hand from anywhere this turn, exile it instead (drawing cards puts them into your hand). At the beginning of the next upkeep, shuffle each card exiled with Embrace The Void into your library, then draw 7 cards. ... I open my eyes, and gaze out on the wreckage Hyle's spell has left. "It seems my assassins need to practice a little."I have multiple EDH decks with Ire of the Leviathans' name on them (Wrexial Merfolk-plus-Leviathans and Nin Choke-on-your-cards-and-die, to be specific). It's a profoundly blue board wipe with some nicely tricky combos you can pull with it. A 10/10.

A vedalken appears a little ways behind the other combatants, a map of the area appearing in front of him. A slightly nervous tenor voice crackles in the ears of the crew attacking Kirino. "Hello. My name is Lance Ryba, Chief of Operations for the Seventh Circle Initiative. Reinforcements should be arriving shortly; in the meantime, I'll be managing communications and helping coordinate your attacks. I hope you'll work with me; we can be more effective as a team than as individual attackers. As she sees her destructive opus, Aylin catches a glimpse of As'Han, who seems to be casting a spell...Is he trying to save Kirino?! she thinks as she is filled with maniacal rage I knew I should've dealt with the pest when the chance presented itself! Why the hell did I underestimate his capacity to antagonize me...? @flufydeathbringer: Tricorn Barrier: 3 points for name, 3 points for effect, 3 points for FT plus a bonus point because my OCD side has a soft spot for such beautiful trifecta and I can't bring myself to give this anything under 10/10. But all of Aylin's rage dissipates as she sees the fox's intervention did nothing to prevent the massacre, and she rejoices in deranged glee when she sees Kirino finally dead. "You got your wish" she spits out with a sigh. But why did she do it? Despite her tough appearance, she never directly killed anyone except for... him. But that death had also been an accident, even if she would've done it regardless... Why was she motivated to kill Kirino? And most importantly... Why was Kirino not dead?!"Hello, kitten! It's nice to see that you've made some friends. Have you come to play?"This is no longer a matter of revenge and whether or not she has a reason to kill her. This is a matter of pride."Why won't you die?!" screams Aylin desperately. Fortunately, her encounters with Ryn have taught her not to spend all her energy in one spell, and she has more than enough for what she plans to do next. She extends both her arms and the earth surrounding her vibrates. Chunks of stones of all shapes and sizes start violently flying towards her and coating her body. In a few seconds, Aylin is hiding on the inside of a monstrous behemoth. A few seconds later a vedalken attempts to rally the assaulters, but whatever he says gets muffled by and never reaches Aylin's ears. The giant growls gruesomely, then takes a shot at Kirino.Barbaric BluffsLand , Pay 1 life: Add . : Until end of turn, ~ becomes a red Giant creature with base power and toughness X/X, where X is the highest power among other creatures you control. (I'm using a land because I want to, not because you told me to ) Someone Else's Problem: this card feels too good. One of blue's weaknesses is not being able to deal with things in the long term and, even though examples of blue cards that exile stuff exist, they either compensate for it or need to counter the spell first before doing so. At this color saturation, I would add a "that spell's controller draws a card" clause or something like that. 5/10.

You gain half that rating in Valor/Score, rounded down. If the main defender doesn't respond with a card, either by choice or inaction, you may take full valor instead. " is kinda ambiguous since it doesn't mention special protocol for your potential rating when the attacker's has one but implies you need to rate it too anyway?

As Aiden has sort of come to grips with the fact his family are spirits (kind of and I'll get around to writing it later), he runs to see what in the seven Hells is going on. As he runs there, he finds Karina and walks up to her, not paying attention to the lightning clouds or aftershocks or anything really, besides now Karina and before himself. "What the Hel--" he's cut off by a crack of lightning, and another crack as his spear glows a white light and in a flash seemingly knocks into the lightning bolt, directing it into a nearby tree. "What the?!" he exclaims, looking at the smoldering plant, then back to Karina. "For heaven's sake, what are you doing here?!"

She died with only that spell? Arina thought. That was it. All it took was a single spell. There was no power script, no interaction at all from Arina, and yet it ended. Did the Seventh Circle have incorrect information? That did not seem correct. Not at all. And yet, somehow, Kirino Oblay was dead. Arina chuckled lightly. Maybe there was nothing to fear after all."As for you, Ms... Ah, Arina. You have history here, I see." The voice stepped out of the silence, addressing Arina specifically. Arina's gaze jumped around to locate its source, but there was no source to be found. What in the Spirits' names was that? Arina slide her hand along the side of her head to activate her scale visor, hoping to find anything on its scanners. That voice was not a voice Arina recognized. But it was a voice Arina realized she could place. It must be the voice of an empath.
That voice was the voice of Kirino Oblay. The Kirino Oblay that stood before her, as though she had not been struck moments before. Arina finally understood the Seventh Circle's warning.
"Your daughter loves you very much, you know. You should be proud. It'd be a shame if something happened to her while you were away."
Arina's eyes widened and she gasped. Hannah was in danger. Hannah, who was as far away from this battle as she possibly could be, who was completely unaware that this battle was even happening, was at the mercy of this person. This... being. Whatever it claimed it was. Could Arina return to Hannah's side to ensure her protection? No. Aylin would be there, ready to force Arina's hand one way or another. If she survived this encounter at all. Arina clenched her eyes. There was nothing she could do for Hannah now.
Nothing but kill this monster that threatened her child.
"Spirits," Arina spoke in the tongue of the ancient Volarians. A tear found its way out of her eye. Arina had not known fear since she was a child. Yet, now, that was the only thing she knew. "If you still watch me, watch us, after all these years. Please, place your protection on my daughter. Please, Spirits, guide Hannah's path."
Our priority at the moment should be containing the fight while searching for weaknesses in her new form."
"Commander Ryba!" Arina returned to the communications. "You have my full attention. My daughter is being threatened and I have no knowledge of what this is." Arina cursed in Ancient Volarian. "I have never heard of anything like this. Even the Spirits on Volaria had real forms."
(If I still had to follow the restriction, Arina was unlocking the ability to call aid for Gods Willing, but the things she says still work.)
Invitation to Ignorance is terrifying as a player that likes drawing cards. It's basically a one-turn Uba Mask and this bricking something like Blue Sun's is amazing. Also the flavor behind it given the context for Arina is excellent. 10/10
Arina votes alongside Lance for "time" on his Plea for Power.
Persist in Fear Instant Destroy target creature or planeswalker. Its controller loses life equal to that permanent's converted mana cost.
(Arina does not have the mental focus or even a real target to begin to try to Sever so she's gonna try and kill this thing the old fashioned way.)

Karina doesn't miss a beat as Aiden jumps ahead of her to intercept the bolt. "Hello!" she says cheerfully as she passes him."What the?! For heaven's sake, what are you doing here?!" At that she stopped and turned to face him. "Well, isn't it obvious? We're gonna save the world, of course."
She turned back around without waiting for an answer, and skipped back on her way, her positive attitude seeming to spread into the rioting masses around them.Call for Aid: Dream Lash Infinite Dreams Enchantment At the beginning of your upkeep, for each Aura you control, you may create a token that's a copy of it. The light of the thing's spark was intense, likely enough to blind me if I had truly been seeing it. "Lance, I've got a visual. This thing doesn't so much have a spark as it is a spark." This seems balanced and the weirdness of the 2nd effect is probably enough to justify rarity though it's not the most powerful mythic ever. 9/10
Hyle winces as Kirino's body breaks against the mountain, and watches incredulous as the scene just sort of... un-happens before her eyes, as though as the mountain had never been there. She keeps watching on as Kirino lets herself get carried away by the waters without a care in the world, and ends up being perfectly safe, if a bit soggy.
"She's lived", Hyle says quietly to herself. Calmly, she curtsies in Kirino direction, then turns to the geomancer. "Aylin!", she shouts. "That was the seventh attempt. I am no longer in your debt. I shall not interfere any further. Farewell. I believe this might be the last time I see you." The mermaid begins to walk away from the chaos, softly humming an old song about the height of Gods, the majority of whose lyrics she had long forgotten.

(Arina does not have the mental focus or even a real target to begin to try to Sever so she's gonna try and kill this thing the old fashioned way.) "Ah, Arina, no need to call for your spirits. I'm not the one who made veiled threats about the safety of your precious Hannah if you couldn't focus on the 'job' of killing me.
Do you want to know the real reason Aylin has been so hellbent on leading this murder attempt? I gave her a precious little kitten as a gift.
She strangled it."I subtly twist some emotional threads, pointing that (sweet, awful) fear and anger towards Aylin. I also pick up Hannah's scent - that might be... useful.Turn Aggression - Instant - Change the target of target spell or ability with a single target. The first rule of fighting empaths is that you don't bring emotional baggage with you.Persist in Fear feels appropriately costed. It's also now pointing towards Aylin unless you do something about that. In any case, 9/10.
Illusion and reality become one and the same.Splinterthought - this is quite finicky outside of team games, even at three cards it's an extra blue on Searing Spear. will round your fraction with 7.5/10 unless i missed you get a .5 from someone else and then blargh A hundred meters further along, the rain starts. Within seconds, there's a downpour of mildly salty rain. With it comes a peculiar sadness. Why even try? Why go on? The only things that are real are bare-fanged predation and soul-crushing misery, so why fight it?Isolationist DecreeConspiracy - (Start the game with this conspiracy face up in the command zone.) Your deck cannot have more than one copy of any nonbasic land card. All permanents are legendary. Infinite Dreams is... wow, that kind of overwhelming effect should not be that cheap. Running it in a deck with Curses or other auras that are difficult to deal with is a death sentence. I'm thinking of what it would look like with Song of the Dryads or Pacifism, and I'm shuddering. I can't give this more than a 6/10 because of how grossly undercosted it is.

Lady Mapi — Chronarch's Pact: I think the fact that this bricks fetchlands in addition to all the other things it hits makes it marginally too oppressive for CMC 4. I'd either up the cost to or make it only hit nonland permanents. Still, a beautiful hate-piece and I'm always a sucker for chronomancy. 8/10. In any case, I'll call for Council's Judgement, voting to remove it so I can continue to use planeswalker-based shenanigans. "Careful, everyone—Kirino's listening in on our comms. On the bright side, we've identified a weakness—her physical body may not exist anymore, but there's still a planeswalker spark in the middle of this and we know where it is. In quick succession, three figures planeswalk in, moving out of the way seconds before the next arrives at the same location. "Cover Reyhsia, Agent Halloran!" Lance's voice rings crackles as the first lands. The second lightning bolt caused him to jump back, and as he did he lost his balance. Landing on his behind, he didn't notice the lightning's flowery pattern. When he stood up and got his balance back, he followed after Karina. He did a quick jog to catch up to with her, as his spear-tip adopted a red glow at it's tip. As they made their way to the salt rain, he felt it hit what skin was exposed of his, and dink against his helmet, sometimes audibly. He walked beside her. This rain was obnoxious, to say the least. "What's with the rain?" he asked Karina. "Hey, I don't know what's going on, but whatever happens from now on, I'll protect you." he said. For a ten-year old she had to be scared - he knew he'd be, because he was alone and orphaned at her age too, but she hid it well. (k normally i won't have such a big piece on the character not attacking but i kinda need both of these rn) A rain came pouring down, a nasty salty substance that turned our happy aura to sadness. But sadness was better than rage. Why even try? Why go on? The only things that are real are bare-fanged predation and soul-crushing misery, so why fight it? We had thought these things before. Don't mind if I do :^) Isolationist Decree - Oof, this is hitting basics and making it way more oppressive than a conspiracy really should be. If it's not supposed to be hitting basics, then its really low impact for a conspiracy in its home format. 6/10--- "What's with the rain?" Aiden asked."Kirino is crying." we answered. Quiet the Stones: Beautiful name, beautiful effect, I really enjoy that effect that's been given to red and am willing to see more of that in the future. 9.5/10. Aylin feels a cold embrace and her instincts trigger. It feels so soothing, as if it belonged to someone who loved her deeply, but, knowing the implications of that, she wants none of it. She begins trembling and squirming as she hears Kirino's voice whisper in her ear, then she sees her face...Aylin's shock is evident, she was not expecting to see her own mother there, and yet here she is. Her eyes begin to fill with tears at the memory of her mother, and for a few seconds she seems to relax. Then, as tears begin to fall down her face, she begins to laugh. But it's not a laugh of joy or one of relief, no, it is the mischievous laughter of someone who's figured something out."Wrong choice, idiot..." says Aylin "My mother is dead!""Careful, everyone—Kirino's listening in on our comms. For the first time in a long time, I actually feel mildly threatened. Still, the fact that my opponents are bound by cause and effect is comforting. I step back through the seconds and adapt. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to that player or permanent until your next turn. : Finnegan deals 3 damage to each tapped creature. : Target player gets an emblem with "If a permanent you control would be dealt damage, exile it instead." Mild offense ripples through my extremities. They really didn't understand the mess they were getting themselves into, did they? I slice the seconds and deal with little Finnegan.Clock Stutter - Instant - Return target permanent you control and target permanent you don't control to their owner's hands. And then the clock struck 5. Twice.(Guess all those votes are going to have to be for your planeswalkers. Oh well. ) Finnegan, the Grenadier feels pretty weak besides that +1 of his. The -3 is decent, but he comes out too late to deal with aggro (though I guess he can slaughter utility critters?) and that -9 is pretty low-impact (unless you're putting more counters on him somehow, you aren't using it until turn 11.) On the other hand, that +1 is incredibly oppressive, especially if you have some other way to protect him (it's essentially "target planeswalker is untouchable: the ability"). Honestly, I'm leaning towards a 7/10 her, if only for that unfun +1. Lumen stares at the . Kirino thing. "I'm a tad late here - could someone tell me what's going on?" I'm also, from some perspectives, as dead as a doornail. Those perspectives happen to be wrong, of course, but they still exist. Are you planning on arresting me?"Worldbreaker's Storm - Instant - Damage dealt by Worldbreaker's Storm can't be prevented. Worldbreaker's Storm deals 2 damage to each creature and each player. Kassovan Retainer is good stuff, and the kind of effect I wish White would get more often (it'd certainly mean that "prevent X damage" effects would see more play than they do). I like it. 9/10"Ah, Arina, no need to call for your spirits. I'm not the one who made veiled threats about the safety of your precious Hannah if you couldn't focus on the 'job' of killing me. Its controller draws three cards, then discards three cards at random. "Oh, sorry - you just lost a few seconds there. How do you feel?"Calm Thoughts is a nice super-counter... but it's a bit strong. Lady Mapi — Clock Stutter: This is a functional reprint of Aether Tradewinds. At rare. I'm going to assume you didn't know about Aether Tradewinds, and if so, give you a 6/10. (Although Finnegan's out of the fight for now, he'd have priority to activate an ability before getting bounced; so the damage to Reyhsia from Worldbreaker's Hand should still get prevented.) As Finnegan flickers out of the now, what's left of his shield wraps around Reyhsia's chest, managing to at least keep most of the blood where it ought to be as the radiant light mends her wounds. A simple targeting reticule appears in Arina's vision, centered directly on Kirino's spark, and so hopefully her soul. "Lumen—keep her still if you can, but stay clear! Arina, now!"
Meanwhile, the second member of the strike team springs into action, making a desperate attempt to buy the Shaidostan time to strike interrupted—or possibly turn the tide of the fight an entirely different way. A counterfactual whispers its way into existence—what if Kirino-the-woman was still alive? If Kirino-the-divinity's awakening had come without the sundering of that mortal form? And because it is possible, it not only is true, it always has been. Ylansa smiles as the broken, doll-like frame, once shattered by Aylin's blast, flickers back to life, and whispers quietly enough for only the Kirinos to hear, "Bound by cause and effect? You underestimate the extent of our research. We've been unraveling the secrets of time long before we existed, and we will continue to unravel them long after we're gone. And you were never really dead in any way that counts."Ylansa of Undying Hours Legendary Planeswalker — Ylansa : Target player puts a card from their hand into their library third from the top. : Until your next turn, the next time target player casts an instant or sorcery spell, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the copies. : Return target planeswalker card from a graveyard to the battlefield under your control. You may activate one of its loyalty abilities once this turn as though none of its loyalty abilities have been activated this turn. In the instant before Arina strikes, Lance adjusts his communication spell slightly. Kirino's manipulations could prove a crucial distraction at the worst possible moment, so he sends, with all the power he can muster, an absolute lack of message. Calling for aid for Silence on Arina's turn!

"Please, tell me more about this Sever Reality of yours. I mean, if you can remember anything about it - I'm sure it's a very nice spell." Kirino's voice shoves itself further into Arina's mind, toying with her thoughts and memories. Leave my memories alone, Arina thinks. Stay away.
Arina staggers while charging her spell but only returns a chuckle. Kirino's prod returns two main factors regarding Sever that Kirino may not have known before: It strips the soul from a being, and is nigh-impossible to stop once it hits the end of its channel. "My Scripts are a part of my being. I could not forget them sooner than I could forget how to breath.
"Nisita you better not miss at this range," I tried to laugh through the pain. "Gonna need my soul to match these new scars." That voice is not Kirino. That voice is an ally. Whatever her name is, she has the monster pinned right now, locked in a single place. If only for a second, that is all Arina needs.
A simple targeting reticule appears in Arina's vision, centered directly on Kirino's spark, and so hopefully her soul. "Lumen—keep her still if you can, but stay clear! Arina, now!"
"As for Sever Reality?" Arina says, in thoughts and aloud across all forms of communication, "I will allow you to decide for yourself if it is 'nice'. You will not threaten my child or my allies further." Arina hops from her cover, spending only a few moments to cover a portion of the distance between herself and Kirino. It is in those seconds that she shouts her declaration, to herself and to the Spirits of her home world.
"Severi aritae." Arina's voice is punctuated by the precision of her blade's arc through the placement of the monster's soul. In the split second afterwards, Arina has channeled and cast another spell, collapsing to the ground as the result of her own actions in a writhing lump. She grasps around her body, looking for a vial of energy she knows she has but is struggling to find through her pain.
Sever Reality Sorcery Spells that target Sever Reality cost an additional to cast for each spell cast before it this turn. Exile target creature or planeswalker. Arina calls for aid for Perplex to protect her spell, sending it the moment Kirino tries to channel something (i.e. casting it once a spell hits the stack if it lacks split second) and promptly overchanneling herself. (So, Sever as a spell in-world isn't impossible to dodge but is basically impossible to counter. The spell was developed by immortal deities to slay other immortal deities, which is why Arina wanted a moment where Kami!Kirino was being held down by something. Given the context and assumptions we operate under for BB (first and foremost being that this is a collaborative effort), obviously Kami!Kirino can survive this if you wish, whether by somehow breaking the spell, the soul not being with the spark, or by peacing out or what have you, but she can also not survive it if that's the actual end result you're hoping for now that she's well within reincarnation range and a large amount of the Arena wants her dead. I can't really read whether she's intended to die or not.)
Noting that Calm Thoughts is actually pushing equal against Mindbreak Trap, since Summary Dismissal also paves all the abilities. It's basically 2UU wipe the opponent's half of the stack out with some minor upside. If Mental Skip were to exist, this is likely the CMC and colors it should exist yet. In general though, I'm concerned about split second both countermagic and also hand attack since the hand attack part can and will win games on its own. 6.5/10

I ignore Kirino's quip and the searing heat from her spell. My hands are on fire, but it's nothing compared to - y'know, actually losing a hand. "Still, you say? I can do that. Rin learned this one from some librarian - never thought it'd come in handy, but here we are. Tell me if you need anything else!" Then again, I didn't expect to face down an eldritch being in my career.
Nitrogen Burst Instant Tap up to one target creature. Until end of turn, whenever target player casts a spell, counter that spell unless its controller taps an untapped creature they control. "I think you need safety goggles for that." -Amber, Elemental Scholar
Kinda like Silence, except a lot more brutal for creatureless decks and less brutal otherwise. This is overall weaker mostly because Silence is kind of too strong I think? "Alright, Emil, it's not safe here anymore. Get back before you burn to death."
Call for Aid: Unsummon, targeting Kassovan Retainer. CARD: Clean response that works very well here. 9/10.

Unresponsive Leylines: being such a niche effect I think it could cost . Still, I like it. 9/10. She's thinking of countless ways to be of help but they would all involve getting in the way of her "allies". She considers being a distraction, but Kirino will obviously see through that. She could try to take a hit at whatever part of Kirino Reyhsia is apparently seeing as her weak spot, but that would get in the way of Arina.Think, think, think, what can you do? she asks herself.Nothing is the voice's cold reply Right now you are completely useless... Uselessness, one of Aylin's greatest fears, but the voice is right, there is nothing she can do right now. She can help in no shape, way or form. As the rain stopped, he looked around. "What the hell..?" he muttered, You feel like resting. You can hear your family calling you from so, so far away...as a sudden pang of loneliness and longing began in his chest. He... what was he doing here? He had to get home! He didn't belong with all these... these... planeswalkers, these powerful people. Manipulating the ground around him, the weather, the emotions of people, every element... he was a man with a spear. He had a wife and daughter. They could be dead and in his spear... but what if it was a trick? Some sort of farce, to pull the wool over his own eyes? "Melody... Rose..." he said. He stopped in his tracks. He had to turn around and go... right? He looked at Karina, and felt the sadness lower. Even if she was off in her own world, engaging with whatever was happening... she was still here. If his family was alive, they would be fine. He had to worry about here and now. He resumed walking, the first steps the hardest. The fatigue took a toll on him, but as a soldier, this was nothing. He suddenly recognized... something after the second step. Something in the air made him... remember his interactions in the Arena, this one with... Ms. Oblay?"Some advice: Don't trust little girls in hats, don't touch ladies with purple hair, and watch yourself around the petty kings and queens that have showed up here." He spat into the dirt, looking into the sky. "Ms. Oblay, it's you out there isn't it?" he shouted to the sky. "I don't really know what's going on, but... well, with all due respect ma'am, I think we’re going to have to fight. And even if I'm no planeswalker, and I don't have any kind of magic on my side, you won't stop me easily."(I know they didn't use names on their actual interaction but can we say they did because common courtesy? Also for 4th wall purposes he is a planeswalker, he just doesn't believe that he is.) Great War Veteran Creature - Human Soldier Indestructible Whenever ~ deals combat damage to a player, you may create a token copy of it. "Whatever happened to us, Frank? Out there in that place?"
1/1 Call to Aid: Naturalize - for further enchantment removal, not on your previous response (if I can use this like that, if I can't just ignore it) Lapse from Reality: Claustrophobia but with the repeated Stifle on enchanted creature for the same costs as both cards. Feels fine, though specifically triggered abilities makes it feel like kind of a dead card sometimes, but with Claustrophobia on makes it better. Could probably fit at uncommon though. 8/10.

I managed to not find Aether Tradewinds when I was looking at how to cost things . Oops. Ylansa then belatedly realizes that her mother never fell in love with her father, and that as a result she was never born. Oops.
My corpse, having never existed, flickers back out of existence.Switch Happentrack - Instant - Split Second Return target spell and target permanent to their owner's hand. "You see, in this timeline, you never learned how to dance."Ylansa is interesting - that +0 is probably the closest you'll really get to a counterspell on a planeswalker, and that -4 is pretty insane. On the other hand, that +1 is... less insane, though it does turn into draw-sealing if you use it enough. It feels off enough that I'm going to give you a 7/10 - that ultimate really shouldn't be able to go off the turn you drop her.

"Lumen, it isn't exactly friendly to spray toxic gasses everywhere. Someone could choke on them, you know."
A slight ripple to my mana, and I repurpose his spell. The air all around sparkles beautifully.Errant Sparks Instant - Errant Sparks cannot be countered. Errant Sparks deals 2 damage to any target. Until end of turn, whenever a spell you control would be countered, you may discard a card instead. Nitrogen Burst is pretty cute (to borrow a phrase from one of my coworkers) - it'll buy you a turn against Storm or a weenie deck, at the bare minimum. I like it. 9/10"Please, tell me more about this Sever Reality of yours. I mean, if you can remember anything about it - I'm sure it's a very nice spell." I run a quick scan of all the worldlines leading away from this moment, and I see myself blinking out of them one by one. I check for other Kirinos, other lives...
My urge to live vanishes. A strange peace comes over me. I just need a little more time...
"I hope you enjoy the wine, Arina - it's from my family's last pressing. Thank you for everything."One Last Second - Instant - Exile target permanent you control. Return it to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step. Take an additional turn after this one. At the beginning of that turn's end step, you lose the game. Sever Reality is a suitably epic way to die. It's also suitably hard to stop. Vorthos demands that I give this a 10/10, and I'm inclined to agree. Canonically, Kirino Oblay is now dead. Each of the following responses take place during the "extra turn" of her last second."Correction." I coughed. "The witch just ran me through." My vision blurred back to normal. Needed to focus on keeping my own blood together for now. "Nisita you better not miss at this range," I tried to laugh through the pain. "Gonna need my soul to match these new scars." " Now don't you run off on me, young lady." Destiny Bond Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature or planeswalker you control Enchanted permanent has lifelink. Call for Aid: Turn Aside--- "Do you know how old I am, little one?" I dunno, probably really old, like forty or something. A familiar ruffling of fabric follows. Worldbreaker's Hand - might be a touch too stabby for instant speed, and am sideyeing Smelt + Price of Progrees + Aura Barbs + some other stuff at four. still, suitably epic if a tad dubious 8/10 As the rain stopped, he looked around. At that moment, Aiden notices me. I give him a sad smile - he didn't take my advice. A shame, but probably for the best.
"Aiden, you're a better man than anyone here deserves. If you weren't a planeswalker, you wouldn't be here."
I turn back to Karina, and I laugh. Lightly. Tiredly.
"You know, Karina, I sometimes forget how young you actually are. My current body is 29. I, personally, am well over a thousand years old. My Spark carries my memories - don't ask how. I don't know."
At that moment, I feel the death of my core. I don't have much longer.
"The reason I wanted you to kill me is because you are the only non-planeswalker here that I could see taking my Spark. The spell Mrs. Nisita hit me with... it should clean my Spark of most, if not all of my memories."
I stumble slightly.
As for the rest of them... I need someone with a strong will to hold on to a part of it. And you, little one, have managed to practically fight yourself free.
I try to hide my pride, but a little of it leaks. If things had gone differently... Aiden's eyes might be tricking him, but something in the way I stand reminds him of Melody around Rose - which is nonsense, of course. What kind of love could a monster like me have in her?
When I die, you'd just need to reach out and take it. Please.
Then I slump to the ground. For Cajun: The Life of Kirino Oblay - Enchantment - Saga (As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after III.)I - Tap target permanent, then deal 2 damage to any target. II - Draw a card. You may remove a lore counter from a Saga you control. III - Each player returns all permanents they control to their hand. Then they discard their hands and draw 7 cards. Destiny Bond is, as the kids say these days, pretty dope. I have a feeling like it's a bit undercosted, but this is the kind of effect that's a bit weird to cost. A nice 9/10 for the Blood Samurai Lady and her Lovely-Hatted Charge. For Gurfafflekins: Peaceful Means - Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature Whenever enchanted creature would deal combat damage to a player, prevent that damage. If you do, each player draws a card. Peace only begets peace.Great War Veteran's flavor makes me feel a bit sad. That being said, he's also a bomb for a soldier deck - if your opponent isn't on top of things, it'll let you run away with the game. A 10/10, right there. Unresponsive Leylines: being such a niche effect I think it could cost . Still, I like it. 9/10. Aylin lands on the ground and begins to run away from Kirino, towards Lance."Ah, the children are learning. "There must be something I can do..."(I know I'm addressing Lance, but this is still an attack on you BB so it's under your jurisdiction, amechra XD) Aylin feels more than sees Kirino crumple from Sever Reality. She died without Aylin even doing anything relevant. Predictably, the voice comes back, mocking...
Then my voice joins in - it sounds impossibly old and tired. The mockingly vicious voice cuts out suddenly.
"I'll be dead by the time you get hear this, but my Spark will still be there. At least, most of it. If you want to do something... go over there and take it (or, at least, what's left). Otherwise, it will move on to some other young woman elsewhere, and I'll be back. There's a risk - if you aren't strong enough, my memories will overwhelm you. But I think you can deal with it."
A light chuckle.
"After all, little kitten, you've gotten good at not taking my bait."
A sparkly mist fills the battlefield, marking the places where my collapsing soul is rapidly fading from the local mana. Aylin can see a small knot of it over Reyhsia - no one else seems to have noticed.
"Goodbye, Aylin. Please remember that loneliness isn't strength."
Then silence, and nothing more.Reputation for HonestyConspiracy - (Start the game with this conspiracy face up in the command zone.)Play with your hand and the top card of your library revealed. Whenever you would draw one or more cards, you may put the top card of your library into your graveyard. "The council hopes that you can handle the duplicity of your fellows."(I'm treating Desperate Beg like a gift.) Desperate Beg seems like a pretty standard Red draw-spell. Can't complain about it, really. 8/10 This is it. I'm dying. And unlike all the other times I've died, I'm not coming back from this one. No more reincarnations. No more dead planes. No more Kirino Oblay.
If I had a mouth, I would smile.
I feel a light touch on my shoulder, and look up. A slight young woman is there, dressed in the fashions of old Agahia.
"Why are you here, sweetheart? You never existed." "Neither did you, mother. Neither did you."... And with that, Kirino Oblay is gone. I'll figure out my reincarnation in a bit - right now, I need a nap. Dealing with this many simultaneous attackers is really hard - each of these big response posts takes me something like two hours to put together.

I cannot imagine it being easy to respond to posts en masse like this.
Arina catches her breath from the ground. Only as a result of Reyhsia's prior interference is she still capable of functioning, but she will need more than function alone to process any of what just occured. Arina reaces around to a pocket on the inside of her cloak and slides a vial of some kind of dark blue fluid from it before uncorking and draining it.
"I hope you enjoy the wine, Arina - it's from my family's last pressing. Thank you for everything." Those were the words that were said. Those were the emotions conveyed by the empath.
What in the Spirits' names could that mean? That did not sound like the response of someone who had just threatened her child. Had she given up? Had she ceased to be a threat?
Had she ever been a threat to Hannah?
One Last Second is such an epic extra turn spell. It holds a place that Day's Undoing has with me, where I would want to play it even if it's not necessarily good in the deck. That said, this card seems good too, so I'm perfectly happy giving this a 10/10.
(You know, for whatever you're gonna do with that 10 extra valor for Kirino)

Peaceful Means: A weird enchantment/aura, probably doesn't need the drawing thing but I appreciate the flavor. 8/10. (Also, while I was excitedly waiting the few days it took you, I completely understand, and honestly bravo!)
Aiden watched with surprise at Kirino suddenly appearing, speaking to him. "Well, I..." he tries to speak, but she turns away. He feels the urgency. Something seems to have snapped in the world. A better man, huh?
He listened to her speak to Karina. Much of what she said confused him. A spark? Over 1,000 years old? Fighting herself free? Well, whatever it was, it was questions for another day. This took a toll on everyone. Even the arena itself seemed a little... smaller.
As she talked to the child, he wondered why he wasn't brandishing his spear, ready to defend tooth and nail. But she did not do anything ill. He watched as she seemed to exude love for a moment. Melody... Rose... his heart twanged. The thought never even flashed across his mind she couldn't love. Nor was she a monster. Like Karina was saying, perhaps she was just... misguided.
Then she fell to the ground. He opened his mouth in mild surprise, before closing it again and walking towards her remains.
"Goodbye, Kirino Oblay. May we meet again, in a better life."
