Did I cross a line? I’m sorry. I didn’t have Divit use the calm spell yet, but if that’s not okay, then I can remove that from my post. Or did I mess up somewhere else?

@ Flo00: Thanks for your patience
Finally, Ssthyn spottet a plaything another living being in the distance. Slightly changing her direction she flew towards the unknown winged being, which appeared to be some kind of angel – with a rather dark look and a really weird behavior. What the hell was wrong with him? She had seen people react to her after she played with them for a while, but she didn't remember ever meeting him somewhere.. Halting in midair the little fae folded her arms in front of her, looking down on the angel. „Is something wrong?“ she asked with a giggly, inocent voice „don't be afraid, I mean you no harm..“

Still nervously looking up and down between the girl and her shadow Nheub pointed in the direction she was casting her shadow "Just keep your shadow away from me and we're fine."
I feel like I'm overusing the word shadow here, but I can't come up with a synonym.

Just updating how Purrcy goes about what has currently happenedThe cat and the insect walk through the desert. Purrcy walks either behind or besides the insect. Wherever Imago cast their shade Purrcy walked. Black fur and an unobstructed sun don't go well together. The feline only took the lead from Imago whenever he thought they were going off course from the strong aroma that is showing them the way. Purrcy knows the bad sense of smell a lot of human-ish creatures have. Perhaps the insect is the same. While the cat thought of the abundance of food and the possible dangers the smell might accompany, a human-ish is within the plains before the pair. Imago goes forwards, no signs of stopping. They must have noticed the other party, they're flying, they have a higher vantage point... right? Does my partner know what they're doing? Is the other party not a threat to them? Purrcy scouts the surroundings for possible hiding spots and cover, and finds some bushes to his right, and a dune to their left. Not trusting the insect's instincts entirely, and his own instincts being on edge, Purrcy stays a small sprint behind Imago whilst they approach. As the human-ish rolls behind their own cover and turns around in a flash, they take a threatening posture. The cat recoils and then stands with his muscles tensed. Run to cover, or stay protected behind the insect? Take cover behind the insect. Purrcy drops to the ground behind a small bump of sand that's in Imago's shadow. gateways7 I'd like it if people tag me. I might not necessarily further the roleplay, but I'd like to create more character by describing how Purrcy reacts within what is happening. So of course I'll be doing the same and tag those with whom I've interacted: augur

"Yeah. Uh, welcome to the world of speech, I think. Why are you trying to chase me?" Mouth still sealed shut from what Rover now understood was a spell, and unable to produce the necessary sounds anyway, he tries to act out why he came here. Charades *silver border* Sorcery Choose a nonland card in your hand and an opponent. Act out the card’s name or text box without speaking. If the chosen opponent guesses correctly, you may cast that card without paying its mana cost and that player draws a card. If they don’t, draw two cards. He ran a short distance away, then ran back, exaggeratedly sniffing. After all, Rover didn’t have any reason why he came here besides that tantalizing smell. Hopefully the strange man would understand.

Great, a mercenary. Great! A mercenary! "I assure you we are quite capable of taking of ourselves." We tried to reach across the Blind. Still not working. Surely you've got something on hand. "As for payment..." We started rummaging through the bag of things we had saved from Astento. The pink envelope. My key. The vial. Some zinos? Perfect. "I've got these uh... gold coins." We held up the currency for the minotaur to see. I hate to give up this much. It's not like we're going back to Ravnica ever. "They aren't from around here but I'm sure you can melt them down or something?"

cajunGar'Daren grabs the coins and looks at them professionally. He bites one of them to make sure its not a fake, since he's never seen coins with these carvings before. Even the material seems to be shinier than the regular gold coins he gets paid with. "They aren´t from around here" says the woman, and the minotaur already begins scheming. They're probably from the other side of the world or something, but he can make up some bullshit about them being from "another world" to sell them even higher. He knows some idiots who'll definitely fall for that! "My name is Gar'Daren" he speaks politely while extending a friendly hand and his face contorts in a twisted grimace which attempts to be a smile "This will buy you one week of protection. Whatever you do, whatever you need, I'll be loyally by your side during this period of time. I'll be your sword and shield. Do you have a name? How would you like me to call you?"

Imago considered the arrow as she hovered. Her previous encounters with human bows had not left her impressed with the rather inefficient weapon. To aim an arrow at a bee… Had Imago not known of Eris’s deeds, she would have thought her a fool. Eris’s gaze and arrow did not waver, further testament to her confidence. A familiar dread crept through Imago. Fighting is not an option. There is no growth here, only death.Shaken Confidence Enchantment- Aura When ~ enters the battlefield, any number of target players each put the top three cards of their library into their graveyard. Enchanted creature gets -1/-1 for each creature card in your graveyard. She spoke quickly: “I am Imago, and this cat is my… temporary companion. It was not our intention to follow you, Eris of the Sapphire Lands. We seek the Viv Desert and what lies within.” Belatedly, Imago realized that they were heading in the same direction. Is Eris heading to the Viv Desert as well? If she bests Elisa, will she become a new opponent? Will I be strong enough then? Will I ever?“Are you searching for Elisa as well?” she continued, careful not to let her unease show.

korakhos The minotaur's face twisted into... something. So that's why minotaurs hate smiling. "Do you have a name?" he asked. "How would you like me to call you?" Give him a fake name. No telling where his loyalties will lie next week. Lying to a minotaur was the last item on my bucket list. Just tell em, Ezzy."We...I am... call me Zero. They call me that anyway. Well then Mr. Gar'Daren, where are we headed?"

quazerflame herziquerzi Although Darla's concerns were not entirely mollified, the thing before her -- whatever it was and wherever it had come from -- still seemed safe enough to at least lower her guard around for the time being.
"Darla. Now, what ar-" she began, but was interrupted by a sort of warped grinding noise from the desert's direction, sounding like nothing they'd seen before humanoid, winged figure began slowly forming into the air before the two; an angel, by the looks of it, but somehow wrong. The process was accompanied both by the continued noise and a bizarre, flickering patches of varying color, both only intensifying as the angel's presence took more and more hold. Mercifully, the display lasted only a few moments, concluding the visual cacophony and aural assault as the figure manifested fully.
"Only one yet. And an unin-in-in-invited." said the angel, glancing at Darla and Divit in turn as it spoke; its speech repeated in an unnatural cadence, and its voice fell and rose in volume and intonation between syllables in a way no one either Darla or Divit had heard had ever spoken before. "Error. Elisa's vision has been deviated from. You de-defy it in vain." In a sharp motion of the angel's arm and a momentary burst of noise and discordant color, it manifested a sword in its hand, pointing it at Divit. "The uninvited will be corrected. The invited will stay until the other invited arrive. Elisa waits. Elisa will receive." One moment, the angel was in its previous standing position; the next, it was rushing for the aetherborn blade-first, as if it hadn't even gone through the necessary motions to achieve its assault. In the distance, other unearthly sound could faintly be heard.korakhos cajun Where are we headed? The other end of this mana disturbance, of course. Does it have clean pants in it somewhere? If not, it can disturb itself all it likes. "Well, the-" A horrible shrieking sound from behind her interrupted the planeswalker; in a flash of dizzying colors, the oddly unmoving figure of a knight in full plate and a face-obscuring helmet formed into existence, black blade already pointed at Zero's back. Another knight manifested behind Gar'Daren as he took combat positions, this one unarmed.
"Gar'Daren." The unarmed knight mangled the minotaur's name with its unnervingly scratchy voice. "Come to Elisa. Leave the uninvited."gluestick248 ZephyrPhantom Rover shook its head vigorously, then jabbed its paw at Augustus a few times. Not on you. It then jerked its head towards the source of the scent. There. The hound started up movement after movement, but ended it prematurely; none quite matched the new and confusing level of thought it could now possess. The strange attempt at first contact was interrupted by an even stranger phenomenon; where there had been mere empty air in one second, a man clad in similar garb to Augustus appeared in another second, as if he had always been there. The briefest noise, like metal on whetstone but warped somehow, sent goosebumps through Rover's skin.
"A deviation has occurred." The man's voice sounded to Augustus like someone trying to imitate his tribe's way of speaking with middling success; behind the words, a vague sense of emptiness was present in the tone. "The dog invited was not to be like this. Change it back. So that you will be pleasing to Elisa. So that it will be worth Elisa."melono augur gateways7 "...yes." Slowly, Eris lowered her bow. This one was not a threat. "Apologies for that. It's been a long day." Adrenaline was making room for abashment; Aelira would not have wanted her to lash out at innocents. "If you'll have me as a sword arm, I'll walk beside you for the journey. To make up for... well, that."
"At ease, Eris," replied Imago soothingly, unoffended; she knew all too well the malignant effects tension could have. "Think not that you ought to force yourself beside me as atonement; but if given freely, I would be honored to travel a stretch beside a warrior such as yourself. We do, after all, have the same goal." Purrcy was already rubbing at Eris' legs and mewling up at her; more attached companions, after all, meant an easier life.
Not long after beginning their trek together, the trio saw a sight that Eris and Imago knew all too well; Vargir. The tyrant whose hands has wrought untold suffering and death was standing in front of them, staring into the distance. The further presence of a strange, shiny-skinned black being barely registered in the face of this encounter. The dread lich noticed their attention and turned to face them...Flo00 Daij_Djan "Oh, so it's the shadow that's bothering you?" asked Ssthyn with mock concern. "Well, I'll just have to move it a little..." With that, the faerie made a sudden burst of flight towards Nheub, moving her shadow perilously close and making the angel flinch away. "Whoops! Silly me! I was just too worried to watch where I... uh..."
The thing that had interrupted Ssthyn's little game was a sight in the horizon that had caught her attention; a swarm of what seemed to be hornets of unusually large size, flickering strangely like a flame to and fro as they advanced directly towards her. In their crackly buzzing, it was almost as if a word could be heard: "Uninvited." Nheub almost made to flee then and there, but then realized; the swarm cast no shadow.Fleur @gorgonzola Vargir carried on his journey, grumbling about the new generation and their lack of manners. Didn't they already know better than to go around moving freely in places where he was potentially going to go at some point? Had his reign of terror and agony taught them nothing? Stupid... what had that thing been, anyway? The lich paused for a spell to ponder this conundrum. Some kind of rogue undead? No, he'd know... a skeleton? No, not skull-y enough... Meanwhile, the thing in question watched from a distance, having thought it safe to dissolve her protective spell some time ago. Rude though the stranger may have been, he was certainly powerful. Someone best not forgotten about, at least for the time being--future assessments could, of course, lead to a different conclusion.
Casyra was the first to notice the trio approaching from the distance; a human archer, an insect with a sword, and a black cat. Certainly a curious band. Vargir, still in thought, took more time to notice that he was being watched; but soon enough, he did. The insect, he recognized immediately; that pesky queen he'd clashed with some weeks ago. The human was harder to remember; he'd killed so many, after all.viriss Neottolemo "I don't know how or who," said Orla as she fiddled with a piece of meat, "but as the kingdom fell around me, someone, somehow, told me I'd find a safe place in the Viv Desert." While Eirik was too engrossed in his portion to take much notice, Malkom let the sound of that name relax his muscles for the first time in ages; Orla was truly who she said she was, and could be trusted to travel beside.
Some time into their dinner, a strange, unearthly noise in the direction from which they'd come interrupted the expatriates; one after another, a pack of dozens of wolves appeared before their eyes, already prepared to pounce, as if a stiff wooden figure were slowly pushed into sight through an invisible veil. {authornotes} - okay so I feel like I should come clean about at least one thing. I do have an ending and an end "boss" already in my head for this, but it's still up in the air whether or not we get there - re: RP deviations I feel like I ought to say something about Good RP Etiquette so here we go. if you want to do something to another player's character: don't write the result as if it's already succeeded, write the attempt instead. being told what happens to your character without you getting a say in that is feelbad. example "Gar'Daren sliced Rover in half with his ax" vs "Gar'Daren swung his ax at Rover's midsection, attempting to slice the hound in half". if someone's attempting to do something to your character; you don't have to let that happen, you can dodge or whatever, but don't like no-sell any and every effort. that's not fun to play with either. use your best judgment in order to weave the kind of shared narrative that's pleasing for all parties - there is a Secret hidden in this post. can you catch it

The insect and the humanoid have made up apparently. Purrcy feels for any strained air with his nose and whiskers, but the tension has dissipated. They're companions now. In order to mark them as temporary partners, the cat rubs his flanks onto their legs, leaving a neutral but distinct smell for him to come back to if need be. The group continues their journey. Mark of Return Enchantment - Aura Enchant creature When ~ enters the battlefield, put a smell counter on each of up to two target creatures that aren't enchanted creature. Remove a smell counter from a creature you control: enchanted creature gains indestructible until end of turn. The stench of living death permeates the air. It always befuddles Purrcy's nose and spells danger for his party-members, but this smell is strong enough to completely disorient him. Or are these wavelengths in the air the cause of that? Where is it coming from? Once the feline regained his focus he notices in his peripheral vision the glimmering humanoid creature (called "Aetherborn" unbeknownst to Purrcy) around which damp air was magnetically vibrating and shining. Curiosity and attraction overwhelms the cat, as he starts walking towards Casyra. Is this going to be a hunt? Purrcy asks himself. A greeting? He regards the size of his target, and decides it is going to be as follows: a cautious inspection while sitting a safe sprint away from it. It will all be in how the humanoid approaches that conclusions about its character can be made. Maybe it has food! Or it has danger. Whatever it is, it means going away from the foul-smelling undead guy for a while. If it's danger: you are with three, while they are with two, no, they are one and another one. Fleur Featuring: augur gateways7 and some of that @gorgonzola smell
