Raider Camp: Hmmmm a super soft land destruction in ...but it's turn 1 and also free. I think I'd feel more comfortable about it if said nonbasic - Vesuva would have a field day with this otherwise. 6/10

Apparition of the Bloody Fields:
"Miroal?" The short gasp as the apparition appears from the ruined hovel is replaced by a frown. "No. Just a battle hungry spirit preying on my mind. Get out."

The spirit charges forward; where other dragons would've roared with magical breath, this one only gives a pained sigh as he chants a summon incanation. "Go. Dispose of the pest."

Apparition of the Bloody Fields: A repeatable "burn spell"/ball lightning hybrid is an interesting concept. I feel like lifelink basically nulls the drawback though and that probably would've been more interesting as a 4/1 (or a 3/1 that pays 3 life) without lifelink. Solid idea and fine on its own but I can't help but wonder if its feels too risk free. 7/10

(Yeah, it's great to see BB's still doing well, even after all these years. XD I'll definitely shoot for an achievement/reincarnation in the summer.)

@sylph - Yeah, saccing the land you tapped to Clocktower Vandalist so that it can tuck Apparition. I should've been clearer with that, my bad.

Admittedly I'm trying something slightly different with Contraptions here to make them more black-border like - one keyword action in particular I might leave out of a lot of them is "crank"  because the same thing can be accomplished for the most part with an upkeep step check.

@fluffy - In hindsight I compeltely forgot Red gets burn-to-exile lol.

CARD: In a deck with this, you'll likely have maybe two or three artifacts by the time this comes out in addition to elementals and itself. I wonder if you could push this to or given the lack of trample, but this is interesting. 7.5/10.

Birth of Llanowar: Wow. Ramp is this good now? I mean, Song of Freyalise, perhaps, but this thing pays for itself really fast without even needing anything on the board and I suspect many monoGreen decks would make a very concerted effort to ramp into this early, either as counterspell bait or to get past counterspells for giant dude plays. What really worries me is that II - Green does not typically get to do better than Kodama's Reach's in most cases for 3 mana, and even if I treat the soft suspend as making it CMC 4-5 there's no denying this is much cheaper and less conditional than Hour of Promise and miles ahead of Explosive Vegetation I'd feel more comfortable if the II was Kodama's Reach or if you upped the cost to . Solid idea but risks being format warping with its effciency, I think. (or maybe make it Mythic? I think this legitimately might be History of Benalia good as is.) 6/10

Dazzling Gauntlet: So basically a Ghostly Possession that you can turn on or off. Not sure if the equipment should be tapping, especially if the creature has vigilance...did you mean to imply the creature taps? Interesting idea, at least, though I don't know if you needed to color lock the cost. 7/10

Wild Curiosity: Red normally doesn't get Scry 2 (every color getting it was a Theros thing, if I recall correctly), but card advantage-wise it's a slightly more interesting, more controlled Cathartic Reunion. I can't say it's a bad idea, if not a bit plane-specific. 7/10

Multiplanar Prop: A Mirror of the Forebears that is much more flexible if you remember what you want to name - could even prevent accessing the 'net for more 'fun'. Probably could fit alright in a Commander deck, kind of wish the FT had referenced an existing noncreature artifact though. 7/10

ZephyrPhantom : Don't know if it can be pushed a bit farther, Spitefire Cloak looks cool nontheless. Don't have problems with it, so 9/10

Prudent Soldier: Equal parts combat trick and interesting way to teach new players about the advantages of Vigilance. I think it would've been more interested if it gave +1/+1 or even first strike but that really depends on the set. 8/10
