Well, sometimes you hit jackpot with a set theme, and sometimes you whiff. Thank you everyone that did participate in this round though: fluffydeathbringer - I think this is a pretty good take on Kird Ape type designs - it's okay limited fodder but still manages to establish a mechanical set theme and perhaps even be a decent play with some ramping. Could definitely fit in RDW and I think it encourages decent land-matters ramp brews in a hypothetical Standard, maybe even Pioneer. A good mechanical complement to my initial card design-wise. thaneofglamis - Of the cards submitted I think this one paid the most attention to my flavor description. A good tone-setter and easy to reprint in a variety of sets. gamma3 - Conformity is a decent reinforcing mechanic on top of what fluffy posted though I'm not sure how I feel about a mass +1/+1 for free when that effect is usually at least 2 mana. It also seems like you left out an "until end of turn", because as is this card does the Riding the Dilu Horse shenanigans of permanent untrackable buffs. Feels weird to declare a top 3 with only 3 entries, so I'll just say fluffydeathbringer is the winner. Congrats!

sweet, your next plane is Veronia - main defining feature is that the plane is ridiculously abundant with life energy - this means that people's wounds heal pretty much instantly and no one ages past their physical prime or gets sick, also resource scarcity doesn't exist since the soil is fertile everywhere
- also elementals of varying sentience are spontaneously generated out of pretty much anything every now and then - due to this immortality status quo, disputes are settled through games and duel tournaments - space is running out - medieval england aesthetic and tech level

- HvT: original card didn't really give indications of hard multicolor themes so not into them being forced at common, especially considering the nature of this game and how that locks consequent designers into that additional condition also. card's decent on its own though - ZephyrPhantom: tbh this card looks really weak for having this kind of color weight, especially when one of the component colors is white, which is (at least supposed to be) king shit of weenie mountain. also not into the out-of-left-field real-world tarot theming being forced in like this. expansion of the initial blurb is one thing but this level of bluntness ain't it - thaneofglamis: conceive on equipments at common is slightly iffy but otherwise this is a solid entry

The tension between the Griffin Skyknights of Eglador and the Dragon Riders of Falsooth is reaching an apex, and it seems that war is about to break loose. But lurking in the shadows of this mountainous region, it seems someone else is pulling the strings, weaving the threads of turmoil between these two nations for their own insidious plot. Before I go ahead and give a challenge prompt though, I'm kind of curious - what would people like to see as a prompt that gets you excited? This game used to be very active, often hitting the 14 card cap within one or two weeks. I know other contests are faster and more immediately rewarding, but this game clearly has something to offer when an exciting prompt is given so I'd like to hear what people want to see before I toss out something of my own. I'll give 3-5 days for feedback before I follow up with a new challenge prompt, if anyone wants to weigh in.
