Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our two-hundred and twenty-seventh challenge!
The winner of the "Something's different about you" poll were touhoufanatic (left) and Fleur (right) with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... Our Moderators do a lot more than most of of us think, so lets give them back soemthing! Your challenge is to create a card based upon one of our moderators. It could be serious or comical as long as its not disrespectful. Note: Feel free to expand this challenge to the rest of our staff, current as well as past one  ~Daij_Djan

The Zephyr Phantom Legendary Creature — Spirit  Flying Other creatures you control with flying get +2/+2. Whenever another creature with flying enters the battlefield under your control, draw a card. The winds whisper wisdom to those who listen.2/3

When I first saw this, ZephyrPhantom came to mind. I'm surprised there isn't a card already named this. Zephyr Phantom Creature - Spirit Illusion  Flying Whenever ~ blocks or becomes blocked, return it to its owner's hand. Whenever ~ becomes the target of a spell or ability, return it to its owner's hand. 2/2 Render coming soon maybe? Also might change the entry if I come up with something better later. |

If any permanent gets the most votes, you may gain control of that permanent. If the vote is tied, each player sacrifices their chosen permanent. "When in doubt, bet on the commoner." |

Unfortunately, the card that would best represent Daij_Djan as I know him best has already been made: Frazzled Editor!
Sorry, Daij, I couldn't think of anything else for you, had to go with the Mod whose name actually inspired something.
Canterbury Egg  Legendary Creature--Egg When Canterbury Egg enters the battlefield or at the beginning of your upkeep, scry 4, then you may reveal the top card of your library. If it’s a land card, exile it.
Vigilance, trample
Canterbury Egg gets +1/+1 for each card exiled with it.
When Canterbury Egg leaves the battlefield, put all cards exiled with it onto the battlefield under your control. 0/3

@gorgonzola (Tesagk) You should use the same wording as Jackal PupWhenever Voltaic Pup is dealt damage, it deals that much damage to you. (losing life is most used on black cards.) I would also only make it a common, as its a draw back ability. Also Voltaic has something to do with electricity, but I can't seam to find any art of a lightning Jackal, so lets just imagine its lightning instead of fire. I assuming it has to be a Jackal as, her name before was jacquipup. |
