Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our five-hundred and twenty-second challenge!
The winner of the "Double Trouble: Cardbuilding edition" poll was Daij_Djan with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... This is not the time to populate Clones, it's time to embalm the offspring of Evil Twins. Design a card that either creates or turns into a copy of a permanent – except there needs to be a change of some sort to that copy.Using existing mechanics that would fit this challenge is just as fine as creating a new one or designing a one-of card. Have fun!

I was expecting something like this in Bloomburrow, but I guess I’ll do it myself: Fountainport Imitator   Creature — Frog Wizard Offspring  You may have ~ enter the battlefield as a copy of another creature, except it’s a Frog in addition to its other types. 0/0 If I understand the rules correctly, paying for offspring sets up a trigger that won’t get blanked by the copy effect, and the offspring token will enter copying the same thing as the original except it’s 1/1. |

Have an Un- card: Schizophrenic Clone      Creature--Nightmare Shapeshifter  You may have Schizophrenic Clone enter as a copy of any creature on the battlefield in addition to itself. If you do, Schizophrenic Clone keeps its abilities. At the beginning of your upkeep, you may have Schizophrenic Clone become a copy of another target creature in addition to any other creatures it is or is copying. If you do, Schizophrenic Clone keeps this ability. 1/3 NOTE: Copied powers and toughnesses are additive. So if this entered as a Colossal Dreadmaw (for the memes), it'd be a 7/9. So don't do that, because it ruins the meme. |

I've heard of a different way to handle multiple Power/Toughness on a creature. Whenever a creature deals combat damage or otherwise deals damage equal to its power, it deals the combined total as expected, but the rule that says a creature with damage marked on it equal to or greater than its toughness means that only the lowest toughness value ends up being relevant for surviving damage. Then there's the added mess of +1/+1 counters and other P/T modifying effects: do they affect the total end result or each individual P/T? Now obviously you can have your fun with your own ruling, which works much better survivability-wise with your un-card. Very fun  |
