Welcome to the Deckbuilders' Challenge originally created by sdfkjgh! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a deck along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of every two weeks, a winner will be determined by forum poll, and the winner decides the challenge for the next fortnight's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our ninety-fifth challenge! The winners of the “Be still, my beating heart“ poll were Daij_Djan and melono with... |
(Pauper Commander)
{Comments}A deck build around the strongest cards (aka, staples) in the Pauper Commander format, while still being inside a playable deck. It uses the, in PEDH, broken mechanics Initiative, Monarch and OneManaBasicLandTypeCyclers. Also, Stickers The hearts are, of course, the commander, as well as Mind Stone. |

{Comments}To fulfill the given challenge, this deck is based on the following two cards..: That's right, this deck is based on two basic lands Post Malone doodled on to!
This was quite an interesting deck to put together. While on the one hand there are some obvious similarities with a typical blink deck, there are quite a few differences still. Runaway Boulder has a nice ETB ability, but recasting every time you'd bounce it really isn't worth the effort, so the deck contains way more mana value 1 or 2 bounce targets. Walking Atlas definitely deserves its spot not only for the additional lands you draw, but also because of some sweet land bouncing options. And lastly it's quite interesting how cards like Curfew can fuel my own strategy while at the same time slow down the other players as well. In the end, probably not the strongest deck for sure, but you should have quite some fun playing this deck. |

And the challenge issued by one of our winners was... Create a deck that revolves around instant speed action. Counter galore, flash tribal, combat tricks, or ability abuse, if it’s focused on being instant, the deck goes in this challenge. Please provide a decklist using deckstats, tappedout or similar. Feel free to add some comments as they will be included in the final poll. Please provide a deck name as well as choose a card to represent your deck in the poll. And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!
