Happy New Year, members of MSE. As the presenter of both challenges this year, I'd like to kick things off with a bang. The first CoTW this year will be themed around things you'll be taking on yourself 1 – some might be pleasant, some might be less so. With that in mind, I'd like to see cards that reward a creature surviving a removal effect.1. You might also know this as the Human custom of "resolutions".
Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. I'm not quite sure how well this fits the challenge. For it to be "rewarded for surviving a removal effect," it needs another card (such as Djeru’s Resolve) to help it survive the effect and requires at least one other creature to be targeted by the same effect and not survive. |

I hope that counts as an "reward" for surviving a removal effect. I let ZephyrPhantom decide that one. I like the card and I get the reference, but I don't think this qualifies as a reward in terms of mechanics or flavor. Sorry.  A reward could be negative or part of a trick (e.g. bargain with the devil type stuff) but it has to be flavored as that somehow. This is a bit too much of a general event to fall within that range. |

 Based on the character from the English chivalric romance. Don't know if this counts, but it technically can be marked lethal damage/targeted with removal effects, and survives by virtue of being indestructible. |
