Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our four-hundred and thirty-eighth challenge! The winner of the "Beta: Commander's Edition" poll was BinaryBolas with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... (In Limited Designs, all supplementary cards and all submitted entries should be considered as parts of a curated limited format.)In an imaginary holiday themed set designed for Draft, following cards are included: The set is focus on two-color combinations. The only universal keyword ability in the set is duel. (Silver-bordered abilities aside)Design your contribution to the set. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post.And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Updated after BinaryBolas ' notice on uncommons needing to be something of a build-around, which I don't think my initial entry was. {Old entry}

Here are some suggestions on how to tweak everyone's submission if necessary:
a) My provided cards show a glimpse of hint on what the signposts and potential cycles look like. This means that designing an uncommon might be harder than designing a rare or mythic rare.If you are to design an uncommon or (supposedly) signpost rare, do remind yourself that they are supposed to be the reason to pick the color combo when facing the 15 cards in your draft pack.
b) how the different mana combinations work. Provided, not all color combos are shown, but all signposts are to be designed within reasons of the format.
c) how the different versions of cards are divided (Yes, it's like Unfinity where black bordered and silver bordered cards share a format). So Un-cards and flavorful cards are welcomed.
Remember, every contestant's submission shapes the limited format. It's the twist of the challenge this week.

sdfkjgh twintania BinaryBolas Thank you for your inputs. Since there were no official cards with a "limited" kind of deathtouch, I chose to use a wording similar to "as though it didn’t have defender."

Gourd and Bones Instant Target spell with skeletons, bones, skulls, humanoid plants and/or humanoid fungus in the art. You and the spells controller duel. If you win the duel, treat any humanoid plants or humanoid fungus, as though they were skeletons, bones or skulls, or vice verca.
Head empty. No comments this time. Three corrections later. Hope I finally got the cards text to make sense. "Duel the controller of target spell with abcxyz in its art. If you win the duel, treat any abc in that spell's art as xyz, or vice versa." Note: If the original spell had abc, it will trigger other cards that care about abc, even if you later change it to xyz, since it had abc when it was cast, and that's when the trigger occurs.

Head empty. No comments this time. Three corrections later. Hope I finally got the cards text to make sense. The closest to Magic Jargon text is: Choose target spell with skeletons, bones, skulls, humanoid plants and/or humanoid fungus in its art. Duel with that spell's controller. If you win the duel, treat any humanoid plants and/or humanoid fungus in its art as though they were skeletons, bones and/or skulls, or vice versa. (Be careful that the built-in mechanic duel is a nod to Lorwyn/Morningtide's clash, so the wordings are similar here.)

I knew it wasn't worded as well as I could be, but I didn't know how to word if differently. So thank you.

Why not just simplify it to "Deathtouch for Skeletons"?

I guess it is saved for Deathtouch of Skeletons, by Skeletons.

Why not just simplify it to "Deathtouch for Skeletons"? I'd argue that it's "deathtouch against ~" as an extension for deathouch (See trample over for similar extensions). I brought it up simply because I've made some cards with "deathtouch against planeswalker" since I hate that card type。

The prompt says this is a draft format, so your limitation of 20 won't be able to be met.

Jeleva the Uninvited Legendary Creature - Vampire Wizard Flying Whenever ~ enters the battlefield or attacks, create a blood token. , Sacrifice a blood token, discard a card a card: Exile the top card of target opponent's library face down. You may look at and play the exiled card for as long as it remains exiled, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast that spell. 3/5 "I'm sure it was simply lost in the mail..."I was kind of hoping to see Jeleva in Crimson Vow, the flavor is just a joke on how she didn't show up. Mechanically, she essentially makes it so blood can be used to draw cards off the opponent's library. I think it fits since Jeleva craves minds as much as blood.
