Rapid Delver Creature - Human Rogue The first time a triggered ability you control triggers each turn, create a Treasure token. 2/2 This is thought-provoking, and seems balanced as well. 10/10. I have chosen to interpret this action as a gift. The walls of the dungeon are pale stone, smooth in some rooms and rough in others. The floors are neatly tiled.
Within, there are a variety of structures. Many look weathered or used, perhaps even lived-in.
However, the only life to be found within are some grub-like things; no sign of a "wretch."

Within, there are a variety of structures. Many look weathered or used, perhaps even lived-in.

and I thought trying to rate Conspiracies/Schemes was difficult... This seems to fall in line with Phandelver's "Be moderately long but each room gives reasonable stuff" which is balanced for dungeons. Also Torch tokens are cool. As she walks into the dungeon, she looks around at the surroundings, analyzing both the walls and the structures. Should the dungeon not be lit, she lights a torch by which to see. Seems he isn't here. Someone, or some thing, used to live here, though. Maybe they left something useful.Atlani begins examining the structures, searching for inhabitants, or, in their absence, valuables. Wayward Looter: It's two colors and uncommon, which makes me think arcun, but it seems to be doing two separate things at once, which arcuns don't usually do. It is cool in a vacuum. 7/10. There are indeed valuables; trinkets and tools, made of metal, glass, and the same stone of the floors and walls. Most notably, hidden in the base of one of the statues is a gold bangle of exquisite craftsmanship.
On close examination, it seems that this place may have had multiple groups of past inhabitants; the grub room seems to have been repurposed from a kitchen, and the plaques on the statues appear intentionally chiseled out. However, it looks like noone has been here recently. There is a passage on the way out that wasn't there on the way in, leading away from the entrance.

A Taste of Dungeon: 8/10. The name sounds like a placeholder and while I like the option for 2 final rooms, Taste of Secrets feels like it could be a bit more interesting. Also like... Ok this one is really fun. Flavor-wise, I like the idea of paying mana at the stores, but mechanics-wise, I don't like that I have to pay mana after going through the trouble to venture. I know it balances out having 4 rooms, but still. This is certainly unexpected. Taking in the sights, including peoples she's never seen before, Atlani makes her way into the town, deciding to take the tavern as the safest bet for more information about this place. This is certainly unexpected. Taking in the sights, including peoples she's never seen before, Atlani makes her way into the town, deciding to take the tavern as the safest bet for more information about this place. Servant of Oghma Creature - Human Cleric Whenever you gain life, you may pay . If you do, scry 1, then draw a card. 2/2 Oghma balls. Making a lifegain synergy card to represent Atlani entering the tavern is cute, in a way that I like. As Atlani walks to the entrance, people turn to look at her. When she enters the bar, the more sober residents thereof do the same. Then, a pink-haired gnome speaks up from her corner. "A round on me!"
Is Atlani familiar with that term? Anyway, there are a variety of people in the tavern, and all of them are now in high spirits because of the free vodka.
One of them, a human in black robes, passes a cup of the stuff down to her.

Ooo, Dungeon passives. Only point off is that the 2nd and 3rd rows of rooms sound like people instead of locations, which would be cool if I knew who any of them were. Leaving her mount outside, Atlani enters the tavern, ignoring the eyes on her. The cat wanders around the side of the building, looking for a soft patch of ground to curl up on while her master is inside. Atlani is more cognizant of being watched upon entering the tavern, and tries to stay towards the edge of the room. Upon being handed a glass, she quickly smells and takes a sip of the drink to confirm what it is (and that nothing was put in it), and after ensuring it's safe, she downs the shot, then turns to the robed man, and points toward the gnome who announced the free round. "Is there some special occasion for the generosity, or is this normal for her?"Vivid Panthera  Creature - Cat Trample Whenever one or more counters are put on ~, put that many counters plus one on it instead. 3/3
Not sure which of the names is the gnome, so I'm guessing Ama and trying to synergize with her. |

Not sure which of the names is the gnome, so I'm guessing Ama and trying to synergize with her. Vivid Panthera: 8/10. I'm not totally sure if the templating is correct, but the concept is cool.
Also I wish this card had art.
The vodka is solidly middling in quality. It might have been watered down.
"Ama? She sells weapons-well, lots of things, but gets a lot of money for weapons. Probably thinks you'll be a customer." It's a bit hard to hear him over the tavern. "You do look like a fighter."
He pauses for a moment.
"Ah. Name's Joniah, by the way."
 Note: In a first for Beachhead, this dungeon does not represent the character's immediate physical surroundings.

Took me too long to realize that it meant the elemental plane of earth instead of planet Earth lol. also why does the air princess have a portal on the earth plane. I think the final room requires that the dungeon be 5 or 6 rooms, since the final room of Phendelver is just "draw a card" Atlani glares at Ama's dig at her weapons, in disdain but with no hostile intent. "I might be, depends your stock. I've no shortage of weapons, so I may be slightly more particular."

Shrewd Profiteer Creature - Human Whenever you sacrifice a Treasure token, you may have each opponent lose 1 life. Do this only once each turn. 1/3 . Missing a class creature type, though the closest canon one is probably Citizen and I can understand if you would rather have none. A current canon card would probably not have the "may". But overall this seems like a solid design. "You're discerning, I get it. And perceptive! I'm gonna have to show you the good stuff." She stands up. "My shop's just across the street. Let's walk and talk." As she starts walking, she does indeed continue talking. "So what brings you here, anyway?"  |

Beachhead has reached 100 Valor, and gained 1 skill point. I'm not spending it...yet. It has also added Future Sight to the list of sets it can conjure from.

I think it'd be fun to give the boulder haste, but I it's a valid balancing decision to not give it haste. Having a room that just says "Venture into the dungeon" could be there to proc triggers that say "whenever you venture into the dungeon" but feels like it was there cuz you wanted the option to go from Stash to Faded Archive or Weapons to Spike Trap. Also this might not be your fault but arm makes Sword tokens, right? cuz right now it makes tokens that have no name. Atlani looks at the room, and once they leave the building, the town, around her, rather than Ama herself. "I had heard that a previously absent cavern had been discovered, and decided to investigate. I was expecting a sinkhole more than a town. A big black cat with a big black sword in his back travels through the Arena. He is preparing for a battle, a quest to regain his lost pride. But things haven't gone well for him lately. "Nothing helpful from the colors guy, just some clues from Cayli, and meowre work from Aelewin... This is definitely not what I need!" What does Doer need? That's something he doesn't know. But he has heard rumors of a mysterious dungeon appearing randomly through the Arena. TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I have decided to return to Battle Boards.
I have also decided to start over with Beachhead, flavorwise. I'm not nulling, because I'm keeping the dungeon gimmick.
Please consider all previous Beachhead interactions as non-canon.
