Guild Halls!
What is a Guild Hall: The guild hall is somewhere that allows players to join together under a single banner. The guild also takes on jobs from outside of the guild, or possibly jobs from guild members.
Guild Halls are individual threads, see Guild Layout below on how to format a unique guild to keep it uniform. Jobs and claims are posts on the guild hall thread that that guild is made available to. Posters need to edit their posts once they are claimed to help folks who are looking for available jobs.
Brief post rundown:
New Guild Halls are Posted as new threads in the Guild Halls Sub-forum.
New Services are posted as replies in the Guild Hall thread (See below for layouts on how to post services)
Doing Services is started by Claiming the service by quoting the New post and claiming on the Guild Hall thread, Then a new thread is started in the sub-forum if it is a mission or on the appropriate Battle Board for attacks.
Guild Events and Guild Wars are also new threads in the Guild Hall sub-forum.
See below for more details
Joining a guild: To join a guild you must be invited. You may be invited to join by the Guildmaster as they will need to update the roster. Members can recruit but the Guildmaster has to be informed. Some Guildmasters may require an in character interview of sorts. You must be added to the roster before you are allowed to take jobs. You do not need to be a part of a guild to post jobs. Keep track of what guild you are a part of on your Battle Board Character. You may only be a part of one guild. Only one. No more. You may leave a guild for another one. You must be removed from a roster before being added to another one, so talk to your guild master. Starting in a new guild starts you back down at rankless.
Guild Services: The guild can be hired by anyone to perform tasks. To claim a task you must be a member of the guild and must be the first to quote the task post and claim it. These are current Services a Guild Hall provides:
Attacks:
An Attack is posted as such
Attack!
Name of Player to attack:
Link to appropriate Board:
Number of attackers: This will be 1 if the attack poster is NOT participating. This will be 2 if the Attack will be Simultaneous. See below. No more than 2 players can participate in a single attack.
Attack Details: The poster may stipulate certain requirements of someone who accepts the attack post, be it color affinities, card types available, or even attack expectations. Obviously if you want someone to accept strict conditions you have to shell out the valor.
Any character can pay the guild any amount of valor to request a specific Battle Board to be attacked, or to assist in an attack. The valor is deducted immediately and added to the person who claims the attack when they post their first post on that battle board. If assisting in the attack the story is considered to be happening at the same time, please indicate in the first post that a Guild attack is happening and who is part of the attack. However, the defending player may still respond to each post individually or may respond to both posts simultaneously. If they are able to defend both attacks with a single card they get the full rating points of both players. An attack poster may request that their own board be attacked.
Missions:
A mission is posted as such
Mission!
Title:
Job Type:
Rank:
Repeatable: Y/N
Description:
The Mission poster: does not have to pay anything but they also don’t get anything in return. They do get to specify any details of the mission that they want completed, Such as you can’t kill anyone for example. A mission poster may be the mission Mission Master (see below) but may not do their own mission. Guilds MAY “hire” mission posters. The Guildmaster MAY pay those who post jobs to their guild from the guilds valor bank. However the Valor bank still indicates the tier level of the guild, so spend it this way with care. This is optional and should be discussed with the Guildmaster.
A guild member of the appropriate rank may accept the mission and will be paid the fee minus 25% for the guild (which is credited toward the member who completed the job’s rank). They will also be given a rating out of ten for their performance by the Mission Master who runs the mission. A guild member doing a mission does not get rated or valor per card posted.
Example: S rank missions give 100 valor. Members get 75 for the mission and 25 is given to the guild towards that member’s rank up. Mission Master also gives a 8/10 for performance giving the member 83 valor for the entire mission.
Mission Posts: Posts are made in the Guild Halls subforum (not on the specific guild hall post). The first post of a mission thread should begin with a quote of the mission being done for clarification. The title of the thread should be Mission!: Title from Mission posting.
Repeatable Missions: These are missions that are capable of being done repeatedly. They do not need to be claimed. But a Guild may only have ONE repeatable mission PER RANK. This is just in case mission posters are hard to come by. Please check before making a new repeatable mission. Repeatable missions should be added to the Guild Layout page.
Mission Masters(MM): use the guest system but are still rated and get valor for their posts but that is all the rewards they get. Players can only do and run missions of their rank or lower
Mission Ranks: missions are ranked S, A, B, C ranks and provide a flat rate of valor upon completion. Players can only do and run missions of their rank or lower. Players keep track of their number of posts toward that mission in their posts.
S: 100 Valor minimum of 10 posts
A: 60 valor minimum of 8 posts
B: 40 Valor minimum of 7 posts
C: 20 Valor minimum of 5 posts
Guild Valor: the total Valor paid to the Guild via ranks ups and missions
Guild Perks: Tiers can be named whatever however there can’t be more than 4 tiers. Guild Tier Rewards are only available during Missions, Guild Events or Guild Wars. Tier Rewards and costs are decided upon by the guild. However this is done on the honor system. Try not to break the guild halls with powerful mechanics or cheap costs. Tier rewards cannot be changed once set, and must be set before the Guild can achieve that tier. Only Tier 4 guilds may participate in Guild wars.
Tier: (Guild Valor Needed) Example: Guild members gain the use of this color
Tier: (Guild Valor Needed)Example: Guild members gain this perk
Tier: (Guild Valor Needed)Example: Guild Members gain the use of this second color and multicolor for the guilds 2 colors
Tier: (Guild Valor Needed)Example: Guild Members get a unique Boon.
Members List and Rank progression (message Guildmaster to update).
Rank Ups: This is the total amount of valor needed to give to the Guild to be at that rank. After S rank doesn’t improve member’s rank but does improve Guild Tiers.
S: 550 Valor
A: 300 Valor
B:150 Valor
C:50 Valor
Rankless: start here. Rankless can do C rank missions
Guild Layout: A New Guild should be posted like this
Guild Name:
Guild Banner/Symbol(optional):
Guild Tier Reached:
Guildmaster:
Guild Valor:
Members List (with valor toward ranks):
Tier Benefits List:
Tier1:
Tier2:
Tier3:
Tier4:
Guild Philosophy: This is just a description of the guild goals. Possibly Color alignment or other defining traits, this is changeable
Description of Guild Hall: As detailed a description as the guild wants to make. Can be updated if location changes or possibly be used as a win or loss description after Guild wars. This may change over time.
Repeatable Missions:
S:Link or quote of mission
A:Link or quote of mission
B:Link or quote of mission
C:Link or quote of mission
Guild Events: Guilds may throw event threads or meetings. The title should include [Guild Name] before the title of the Event it is for. It’s not recommended to crash a guild event. Guilds may attack or even ignore outside posters. Specifics for the event should appear in the first post.
For example:
[Guild 108.3] Meeting to discuss a better guild name.
This Meeting is called to get everyones opinion on a new name. No Cards will be rated.
Guildmaster takes his seat and calls the meeting to order. YadaYada
