Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and thirteenth challenge!
The winner of the "Horizontal Planes" poll was Fermat with... And the challenge issued by our winner was... With dozens of countries enforcing lockdown on its citizens, most people have suddenly found a lot of spare time in their hands and have resorted to doing tasks ranging from the most inane to the most unusual. For this week's challenge, design a card inspired by something you've done during this pandemic that you wouldn't normally have done during normal times, or have put off for a long time and have finally managed to accomplish.
Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen.  The one thing I've been doing a lot of since isolation hit is making sweet treats such as marshmallows and sorbet. I think those fall under the category of confectionery? Next on the list is a honey pudding  . |

Cubed Hedron  Artifact  Protection from colored spells ,  , Exile a card from your hand: Put X cube counters on ~, where X is that card's converted mana cost. At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are 360 or more cube counters on ~, you win the game. After years of putting the idea on the back shelf, I decided to start building a cube. I wanted to think of a silly, fun way to represent it that resembled getting 360 of something (since a cube is usually 360 cards) and I wanted to represent you contributing cards to it, so I took some notes from Helix Pinnacle's design and went from there. I decided to give it Protection from colored spells as a nod to Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, while leaving it so that it could still be interacted with by ETB creatures.

Got around to patching up a bunch of my old clothes. Nothing compared to what's happening on Innistrad though   Nice catch sdfkjgh , based the templating heavily off pod but missed that the factors obviously need to be the other way around in this case. |

Kind of in sdfkjgh's boat with the NEET life. I've been doing more doodles than usual.  Tortured Artist  Creature - Human Artificer , , Pay 1 life: Create a Treasure token. 1/1 I figured it shouldn't be stronger than Vesper Ghoul because black doesn't really get mana generation. It's kind of weird that green doesn't produce more Gold/Treasures but I suppose artifacts aren't their strong suit. |

SilentKobold: Um, you may want to reverse the order of your parameters, as the way you have it would lead to mostly negative numbers, and so far, I think I'm the only one who's explored negative mana costs. "with converted mana cost equal to the sacrificed creature's converted mana cost minus 1."
sade612: What exactly is the black 1? If you come up with a new symbol, you should explain it. |

sade612 : What exactly is the black 1? If you come up with a new symbol, you should explain it. I wanted to keep the text to a one-liner so it would be centered in the card frame. Black generic costs are paid with life. {eg Adanto Vanguard}  |

Honestly, not much has changed for me, but I did happen to decide to practice piano more intentionally than I had been before, so I think that counts.
Btw, am I doing this right? I put it as an attachment, can't seem to make it as big as how everyone else is doing it.

  First time entering one of these, first time posting. I've spent a lot of quarantine exploring new things and not a whole lot of time doing things I'm supposed to be. Right now I've decided I want to build a set, rather than do any actual work, and in setting up mse stumbled across the competition, so here we are. If anyone could tell me how to make my image on here larger, I would appreciate it ^^; Thank you SilentKobold! |

tophatpickle and KingGutty . To get larger images, most of us upload our exported images to an external image hosting site. Then with a simple image link you should be all set. Hope this helps, and welcome to MSE

As a few here know, I'm a doctor. Since this thing started, I haven't returned home (about a month now), living on scrubs, hospital food, and staying at my hospitals' quarters. With connectivity being an issue at one such facility, I've installed musical notation software and have started composing and arranging music for the first time in a while on my off-duty days. Pastor of Consonance  Creature — Human Cleric  When ~ enters the battlefield, you gain 2 life. Harmony — If you cast another spell this turn that shares a card type with this, you gain 5 life instead. "A spell and a symphony are often enough for any malady."1/3 |
