Welcome to the Card of the Week Contest! To participate in this Contest you'll have to design a card along the contest guidelines and throw it into the arena with other competitors' entries! At the end of each week, a winner will be determined by forum poll. The winner's card will be rendered and featured on the Welcome page, and the winner decides the challenge for the next week's Contest! Here we go, competitors: our three-hundred and eighth challenge! The winner of the "That's just like in..." poll were Aarhg (top left), collex (top right) and spazlaz (bottom) with...And the challenge issued by our winner was... Design a card that has something to do with sickness or disease. To increase your chances of winning and to also make creating the poll easier on whomever is doing so, please try to use a render. Additionally, please try to keep your entry edits all in one post - if you need to change it you can put your old entry in a spoiler marked "Old entry" and leave the newest rendition to be seen. Just use the edit button in the top/right of your original post.And now, time to begin the challenge! Best of luck, competitors!

Plague Bloater Creature--Wurm Horror Trample, infect Plague Bloater gets +2/+2 for each -1/-1 counter on it. Whenever another creature with infect you control deals damage to a creature other than Plague Bloater or to an opponent, that creature deals that much damage to Plague Bloater. 2/2

Spreading Sickness Enchantment At the beginning of each player’s upkeep, that player distributes X -1/-1 counters among creatures they control, where X is the number of -1/-1 counters on creatures they control. A creature can’t get more -1/-1 counters than its tougness this way. Not sure if the last sentence is propper (Magic) english.

sdfkjgh: I think the last ability would be a bit easier to read if you put "to an opponent" before "to a creature other than ~".

I dub thee, "Typhoid Jerry." (Also, I was not aware of this before I finished the design, but the artist goes by Davi Blight, so that's a fun little extra detail.)

Protective Isolation Enchantment — Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature has protection from everything as long as you control no other creatures. "There can be strength in solitude."
—The Principles of Being This is a measure taken by immunocompromised patients, say diabetics with poor glycemic control, cancer patients, or those taking immunosuppressants like lupus patients, to minimize the risk of contracting pathogens.

I made this a few months ago, but now is a pretty good time to demo it: Ever since Lorwyn/ Morningtide, they've been printing creatures that create buddies when they come into play. You may remember playing against Broodmate Dragon in Alara standard, for instance! Mostly, those buddies don't have the same power/toughness/abilities leading to a lot of text to ignore on the card object that summoned the token in the first place! I decided to use a Supertype to clean up the text box a bit since space is at a premium on flip cards. I had a vertical cycle planned for this bad boy with other plague doctors granting P/T bonuses to sustain the germs. This guy is cool because he gives you a "dies" trigger as soon as you summon him allowing you to Fatal Push/ Tragic Slip right away.

Plague of Madness Enchantment- Aura Enchant creature Enchanted creature gets +1/+1, has haste, and attacks each combat if able. Whenever enchanted creature attacks, enchanted creature’s controller creates a token that’s a copy of ~ attached to target creature that isn’t enchanted. {bonus}

Having trouble finding art I'm happy with, so here's an artless render. Happy to receive suggestions for art.

Vector looks like it needs some kind of limit to stop you from having half a dozen spells encoded on the one creature.

Just to be sure, enchanting an exiled card seems to be indeed possible within current rules since auras can enchant any object or player, and objects are cards, and cards can also refer to cards in exile. {Old version without "loses “enchant player” and"} {Older version without "of their library" in both instances}

gamma3 I actually looked up Animate Dead as well as the rules of auras/enchant beforehand, and couldn't find a reason why the losing ability was even there, so I thought that this was maybe a remnant from errata or something like that, and cut that to save some text space. However, I now looked up the rules again, and I simply oversaw the source in first instance: below rules explicitly prohibit my original wording. 702.5c If an Aura has multiple instances of enchant, all of them apply. The Aura’s target must follow the restrictions from all the instances of enchant. The Aura can enchant only objects or players that match all of its enchant abilities. 702.5d Auras that can enchant a player can target and be attached to players. Such Auras can’t target permanents and can’t be attached to permanents. As this doesn't change anything on the internal playability, I will allow myself to update the card accordingly here. That being said, thank you very much for your input and subsequently, the reason I learned something new!
