EralouEralou is a project inspired by my home state of Louisiana. Taking elements from Haitian voodoo, the American south, and a bit of medieval France creates a compelling setting for a fantasy world. Eralou is home to lotuses, bayous that are as beautiful as they are terrifying, and mysterious spirits named "kantra" who, for a small fee, will loan you their services. Mechanically, Eralou is trying to promote synergy through individual cards and the mechanics. As an example, enspirit works well with creatures that have enter the battlefield abilities, and a lot of the mechanics in the set want to be on creatures with ETBs. Eralou has proven that it has a robust limited environment (the data for which you can find here), and has provided lots of fun tools to Custom Standard. Currently it is being submitted to MSEM2, which lead to something interesting. MSEM2 is a completely separate format from Custom Standard, and a very different power level. To square this fact, there are two different versions of Eralou. One for Custom Standard and limited, and one for MSEM2. I buffed around fifty cards when making the MSEM2 version of the set. You can find the Custom Standard and limited version of the set here and the MSEM2 version of the set here. If the set gets into MSEM2, you'll be able to play the set in limited, a rotating format, and an eternal format!
