Rejoice, you pawns, for your General is now among you! After my glorious campaigns in the Ekundu Mountains, I seem to be, through no fault of my own, a bit short on troops. I’ll need a few good recruits to bolster my illustrious ranks. However, few can be worthy of associating with my greatness, so to prove your worth, I will be henceforth and forthwith issuing a series of Challenges.
For your First Challenge, I draw your attention to the following vastly overpowered superweapon1:
Build me a deck showing Diamond Kaleidoscope’s tactical applications. Yes, you’ll be doing for me what SaffronOlive does on the regular, but so what? He’s not signing up to join my Grand Army, you lot are!
Some ground rules: I want these decks to have the card in question be their centerpiece, without which the deck just won’t function. If someone could come along, take one look at the decklist, and substitute any other card for the Challenge Card, I won’t be happy (no matter how right the inconsiderate jerk may be)! Post completed decklists, along with a description of how it’s supposed to work, its format legalities, and predicted format viability, in the replies. You have two weeks from the date of this Challenge’s first posting, after which, I will pick the five decks that I feel best exemplify the various strategy archetypes: Aggro, Combo, Control, Midrange, and Tempo.
I expect great things from my new recruits, so get to building!

earlygame cards I slotted in, I very much doubt you won't be, because of various reasons, then you've got infinite mana ready! First you pay three mana of any colour and tap that groovy Kaleidoscope, which gets you a Prism - and the Lives get you another one! Then you sacrifice both of them with the Kaleidoscope, which gets you two mana of any colour and makes two other extremely swell thing happen! The Plunderer will give you two Treasures, that can be sacrificed for two other mana of any colour, meaning you now have four mana of any colour! But also, sacrificing the tokens makes the Scorpion's ability trigger, and that lets you untap the Kaleidoscope! You can now use three of your four mana to start the whole cycle again, having one mana left over each time! That's infinite mana for you! Then you get to play an arbitrarily large Walking Ballista from your hand and sacrifice it to win the game and then - and this is the best part - your soul descends directly straight into Hell!
